I had about the same post the other day, except mine wasn’t as well written. ) Anyway, I totally see it that somehow for the pity party to work again, WhinyGirl’s camp had to revive it, and the Angelina’s NYT article was the defibrilator. Then for her to come out after the harm to Angelina has been done, to claim innocence is the lowest of the low. She had to resort to those tactics because she feels her career is threatened. Brad and Angelina will survive, inspite of all the attacks, because they have integrity, talent, and the love and support of their family.

I think X saw part of CCOBB when she vacationed in Mexico and David Fincher was there. Im sure David was working on editing of Brad’s movie and have shown part of it to Courtney, David and X. Thats she has seen only one hour of the movie not the whole movie.

I read in __ thread replying to the interviewer that she saw an hour of TCCOBB and that it is amazing.

now i don’t want to be critical, but two points:
1. HOW was she able to see an hour of the film and WHERE? does she have any access to the early screening of the movie? or is it just the trailer that she saw?
2. if she saw part of the film and thinks it is amazing, ISN’T IT LOGICAL that you would WANT TO SEE THE FILM TO THE VERY END, HOW THIS AMAZING FILM PANNED OUT? I prefer to read books than watching films, but i think it is the same - you would want to read a good book and finish it (i remember foregoing lunch just to finish a very good book) as in you would want to finish watching an amazing film. otherwise, you can not really say it is amazing.

Of course, if like Angelina you have won an Oscar, then that’s automatic entry into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - consequently, Angie has been a member since she was 24 yrs old. Also, if like Brad Pitt you have been nominated for an Oscar, that too is automatic entry. ( Brad has been a member since he was 31 or 32 yrs old). They don’t have to lobby, beg and bribe like desperate no-talent TV sh*t-com hacks, like Aniston.

Aniston essentially is like a wedding crasher or an ugly bridesmaid…forever hoping…trying to get leverage with her power PR firms and her bought memberships.

HW has her number…and they’d love to permanently lose it.

If x is stiil a voter for the Oscars,the voters have seen the films or on Oprah.

Just a tiny correction. There are no automatic entries into the Academy. Not even for winners. It is, of course, the norm for winners to be invited after their win - they made one exception that I am aware of when they somehow let Barbra Streisand speed up her membership so she could participate in the voting for the year she won - she had just received her first invitation at the time. If you’ll recall that year Best Actress was a tie between Streisand and Katherine Hepburn. It is not always assured that a nomination will get you an invite.

Also the Academy did not always list their new membership invites. The publication of the list of invites is a fairly new thing. They hold their official membership list close to the vest. It has never been published though it is pretty easy to figure out who is a member and members themselves talk about it publicly.

And, yes, Academy members are shown special screenings around the country for films in Oscar contention. They are the full length movies. At times the director or some of the stars participate in the screening. You can google for the schedules - they are shown from Hawaii to the East Coast. And, of course, members also used to get DVD/Videos of the movies. I’m not sure anymore if they revived that process. There was a big issue about it a few years ago when the major studios decided not to send the screeners to members claiming piracy issues. An interesting law suit arose out of it. Some people claim that rather than piracy it was a ploy to keep members from seeing the smaller, independent movies ( which were beginning to dominate the Oscars ) since the screeners were the only way some members would ever see the smaller movies which obviously show in fewer theaters and for a more limited time. I’m not sure what is going on with screener DVDs now. There are only a limited number of screens and places in L.A., for instance, that are available to show the films in contention during the Oscar race period.

But it is a joke how some people can garner an invite. I remember when Aniston was invited there were howls of derisive laughter and disbelief from the more serious film community and the film discussion boards. But then I think some of the other “Friends” were already members like Lisa Kudrow.

As for Aniston claiming she only saw an hour of BB - Fincher had put together a short screening that was shown at one of the film fests to give people a taste of what he was working on. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t before he had completed all aspects of the film. I saw some reviews of the shortened version earlier this year. Maybe that’s what she saw. There is no way that she wouldn’t want to see Brad interacting with Shiloh if she had the chance. That defies human nature.

I remember in Cabo Fincher ignoring X while she opened her legs wide for him to see.Its like Gwyneth going to watch Babel when it came out.They are absessed with Brad.

Brad is right! He DOES have an unusual family. A very interesting and adorable family. That’s why the JPs have so many admirers.

I don’t think his family is that unusual. I know so many families who are foster parents to multicultural children and families who have adopted children from all over in and out of state. The only unusual thing is they have tons of help and live ins. Oh and they can leave the children for days at a time. The families I know can’t do that. I think they think they are more unique than they really are.
