Brad Pitt: I Have An Unusual Family

Brad Pitt: I Have An Unusual Family

Brad Pitt joins CNN’s Larry King on Wednesday to chat about his family, his latest movie, and his continued efforts to help rebuild New Orleans, Louisiana.

On how his kids keep him young (or not): I have so many. No, man, it wears you out. Are you kidding? I’m aging fast.

On why his family draws such attention: It’s quite complimentary. But, you know–and I think it is an interesting family. It’s not your usual family… I’m quite interested in my family, actually, so, I don’t–I certainly don’t see it as anything less than a compliment.

On having more children: I don’t know. I can’t find a reason why not–just yet.

On President-elect Barack Obama: Oh, man. I think, overnight, we redefined what America’s about. I couldn’t be any happier and more hopeful for the–for America, for the upcoming–in the upcoming years.

On the new moustache: (Joking) It’s political, Larry. It’s political. I’m making a stand for men with moustaches. I don’t think they get treated fairly… I’m currently in Berlin [Germany] now, filming a Quentin Tarantino film. And I am a man with a moustache.

OT -

Why the hell can’t X ever learn to say “no comment”? Now she’s answering questions about CCOBB? David Fincher REALLY needs to stop hanging with the Coquettes on nights X is buffaloing her way along…

where y’all at?

Love that picture, they are such an affectionate, loving couple!
Cliniqua love your post-as always. Trolls just can’t stand the truth you speak. Jealous, jealous, jealous!
The x-ho just needs to keep her mouth shut about brad and angie- when she continues to bring them up it makes her look even more sad, pathetic, and desparate. Oh, wait- she is all that! She just needs to shut-up@!!!!!!!!

Haters if you truly believe that Brad is old and not sexy or worth hooking up with, why are you on their blog everytime Brad and Angie makes an appearance and why do you haters continue to search for news about the couple 24/7? It really kills you all that he is one gorgeous, sexy, super rich guy and combined with Angie’s status they have become enormous powerhouse and your fugly idol was one stupid woman for loosing a guy like Brad. Admit it guys, it kills all of you to see Angie in his arms and imagine him making beautiful love to her drives you all insane, the loss and the thought of him and Angie is too much to bear. Your loss is our gain and your pain is a joy to us. We couldn’t be happier for this super dynamic couple. I hope everytime you see them together may your agony multiply and your souls tortured.

Go MIMI!!!!!
Amen to that!

Good Afternoon JP fans

Thanks for the new thread Jared - loved the LK interview.

Here’s an interview with Brad’s costar in CCOBB, Taraji Henson.

‘Button’ actress: How death gave life to performance

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) — Taraji Henson lost her father one year before she began filming “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”

“You kind of always want to ask, why, why, why now? Why in the height of my career? Everything that he always said would happen to me, he’s not here in the flesh to see it,” Henson said.

The actress — best known for her role as a singing prostitute in “Hustle and Flow” — plays Queenie, the adoptive mother of Brad Pitt’s character, Benjamin Button.

Button is born with an disease that causes him to begin life in his 80s and age backward. The film centers around death — especially through Queenie, who runs a senior citizen home and is surrounded by it every day.

The film is based on a short story written by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the 1920s. It’s said that Fitzgerald based his story on a quote from Mark Twain.

“There’s this beautiful saying in the script about how you have to live life forward, but the only way you understand it is backwards,” Henson said. “I miss my father, and I love him, and I wish he was here, but it was like I had to experience a death of that magnitude to even bring Queenie to life.”

CNN talked to Henson about Queenie, what makes the film intriguing and whom she bonded with on the set. The following is an edited version of that interview:

CNN: What was your reaction when you first got the role of Queenie?

Taraji Henson: I was blown away because I didn’t think I had a shot. It’s a big, major studio film [with] big names like Cate Blanchett, Brad Pitt attached and a huge director, David Fincher. I just didn’t think that they would go for me because I’m not considered a name in Hollywood — yet! Hopefully this movie will do it.

I later found out that, actually, my performance in “Hustle and Flow” got me this film. Laray Mayfield, who casts Fincher’s films, saw me in “Hustle and Flow” and actually called him while she was in the theater and said, “I think I found Queenie.” And, literally, she went to him and said, “You can make your job difficult and watch all of these audition tapes, or you can just hire this girl.” And he trusted her.

CNN: What do you connect with personally in Queenie’s character?

Henson: I think her being a mom and her ability to love unconditionally. How nurturing she is, that’s what I connect to.

CNN: What about the movie intrigues you the most?

Henson: What intrigues me most about the movie is that when it’s real love, it’s forever. You know, Cate Blanchett’s character is aging one way, and Brad Pitt’s character is aging backwards, so they never really find that time when they can get together. VideoWatch Henson explain how they filmed Pitt’s character through the ages »

I mean, they do, but it’s a constant throughout the whole movie, like, “Oh, when are they going to get together? She’s still too old, he’s still too young, oh, she’s there,” and then they finally get to a great meeting place. But then she’s still aging and so is he, backwards. So …

But when it’s real love, it doesn’t matter which way you’re going. It’s real, and it always stays with you.

CNN: What was the interaction like on the set between the cast?

Henson: We had a lot of fun. A lot of laughs, a beautiful set, easygoing, lots of jokes. Every Friday, we would put $5 in a can, and somebody would pull a number, and they’d get it. Sometimes, Brad would pull a number; sometimes I would. We had a good time, a really good time. We ate out a lot.

CNN: What about working with the director? I’ve heard he’s intense.

Henson: Oh, David Fincher, I just love him so much. I never thought I’d meet someone who sweats the small stuff like I do, and I think that’s where we connect. We’re both obsessive. I thought I was obsessive, and I was like “Oh, God, you take the cake, David!”

But I love that about him. Because when you see the film, if you haven’t, you’ll see that he does not leave one stone unturned. He goes over every grain of salt. He is very meticulous, and that is the type of director you want to work with: someone that is going to make you look incredible.

CNN: Let’s say you were aging backwards, like Benjamin Button in the movie. What one lesson have you learned that you would like to take back with you to adolescence or childhood?

Henson: Patience! Just be patient and have faith. That’s something I’m still learning every day. Because, you know, sometimes you sweat the small stuff, and you spend all that time sweating and gaining the gray hairs, for it always to work out anyway. It always works out, doesn’t it?

Restoring New Orleans

As of today, 86 of the 150 homes have been sponsored.

+++++++++++++++++++++

Whoever wrote this story needs do a little research. Brad told Larry King that THEY HAVE FINANCING PROMISED FOR ALL 150 HOMES. I would think that homes 85-150 are being funded by the money they were supposed to get from American Idol Gives Back. That would be about $10MIL and AI claimed to take in about $61 MIL for their 6 charities during their charity show in March.

where is the guy who put up half of the money to start MIR? he is never seen or talked about. BING!

I think they gave 5 million each to start it and half of the 5 million was from the jolie-pitt foundation. Brad is taking too much credit and not giving due respect to other people who helped start this thing.

I guess bing doesn’t need the publicity like Brad does for his movie.

bdj, I appreciate and enjoy the articles you take time to bring here. It would be even better if you could be careful about bringing those like the above - which is really just a paid advertisement for payday loans - which are usurous and take shameful advantage of those in financial crisis. The exact opposite of what MIR is trying to do.

These articles are of a genre which are generated by marketing companies disguised as news organizations. They take prewritten packaged articles about various topics such as how fruits are healthy and vital to your daily intake and then sneakily edit in an advertisement for their client - e.g., Dole Pineaple Company. SOme are more subtle than other and merely add in the specific product and omit the company name. All in all it’s a scam and ethically similar to the supposedly legitimate news media picking up rumors from the tabloid press and internet and repackaging them as real news.

Sorry for the rant but those payday loans stick in my craw since I have seen my clients taken advantage of by those blood suckers and then for them to use Pitt’s great MIR to sell their garbage makes it worse.

But, again, bdj, thanks for the time you take to bring us legitimate news and articles.

Yup! You are not very bright. But like so many delusional Jenhens you will never get it. Brad and Angie will be together. Oh and by the way noone really cares what you think. It is too bad that X can not make it on her own withouth draggin Brad or Angie in to every conversation she has.

Just read JA’s interview with EW and honestly, I don’t know why we bother giving this woman more audience than she deserves. She is so not worth it!! My God! I’ve not come across someone so dumb, so superficial and so freaking self involved as this woman!!

I’ll keep asking. . . Who are the women who identify with her? Where are they from…for goodness sakes, where are they from???!!!!!

It’s sad!

++++++++++++++++++++

See…this is the very reason I’ve refused to read X’s last 2 interviews. As Rosie O’Donnell said - that woman has nothing to say! And puts her foot in her mouth while saying it. After I watched her bumbling through all of those TIFF tv interviews I swore off reading or watching her be interviewed. She’s an illiterate twat. And that’s on a GOOD day!

Cliniqua, I totally agree with you. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy coming here to read your delusional accounts of reality. So, just keep the fun coming.

Bigbiglove, I enjoy YOUR delusional accounts of reality. Just where did you read that Angelina threw knives at Brad for talking to Jennifer? In the tabs, no doubt. Brad so lacks sleep because of his six children, you honestly think he has the time to “talk” to his ex-wife who as far as he is concerned no longer exists? Hmmm, really really delusional.

Oh well, have at it, keep the fun coming, keep posting.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

BBBWWWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I’ve been skipping the troll comments so I didn’t know one of the morons brought this up…

The “Angie threw knives at Brad for talking to X” bit came from last week’s Star “Bodyguard’s Tell All” issue. They didn’t say she threw them AT Brad. They just said that when she gets mad at Brad - especially when she found out he was still chatting with the Xer occasionally - she got our her knives and threw them at a target or the wall. What’s so hilarious about that is that Angie said years ago that she doesn’t keep her knife collection WITH HER. She’s got it locked away somewhere because well…IT’S A COLLECTION, NOT FOR USE!! That’s like a coin collector carrying around his collection of rare coins. He runs out of money and whips our a rare coin to pay his dinner tab. Frigging morons…

I would have said Planet Malibu but that would be unfair to people there. She identifies with the face in the mirror.

BTW - Since the troll brought up that Star story, I wonder why they left out the section about what X’s bodyguards supposedly said about her. It’s much more realistic than Angie throwing knives at Brad.

The Star said X’s bodyguards say X runs around her house nekkid or in tiny bikinis because she likes men to stare at her body because she’s proud to be in such great shape at 40. The BGs said X answers her door - not knowing who it is - in nothing but a skimpy bikini or towel or nuttin. That she flaunts herself when there are men around her house and “that’s just how she is. She uses her body for attention.” BBBWWWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Not THAT is right on the money!

Good morning to all BAMPZSKV fans. I hope you all are having a glorious day.

I see the same stupid trolls are back. Please someone take them out of their misery.

I just read an excerpt from x’s interview on Huffington’s Post. I started to bring it over thought against it. It is so sad that this shallow woman has people believing that what she says is the truth. Apparently they are analytical in their thought processing.

Cliniqua wonderful post. You always hit x right on the head. Only next time do it literally and with a big hammer.

That picture of Brad brushing something out of Angie’s eye is so precious. They are really loving towards one another.

Okay gotta go. Now a days I can only take so much troll bs. Constant negativity really wears you down after awhile. It even starts to affect the fans sometimes. We spend so much time fighting the trolls that we become short and abrasive with each other. Fans should support fans. Unless of course someone goes crazy. But we have to make sure it is real and not imagined. BBL. Peace

Does being this stupid hurt excessively? I sure hope so.

Steve Bing is a SILENT PARTNER. S-I-L-E-N-T. I know it’s a new word for you, so let me explain - silent means unheard, making no sound. Ergo…YOU’RE NOT GOING TO HEAR ANYTHING FROM STEVE BING!

Brad the idea for makeitright. In the very begining Brad talked about Bing and all of the people who were donating money. Over the last year there have been so many names that to sit down for an interview and to start naming names he would never finish or even begin the interview.

That is why if you go to the makeitright web site you will see a list of everyone, if they wanted their name published, who has donated. Brad had the vision. It would not have happened had it not been for the vision. Go check out the web site and see the donor names listed.

1976 Habitat for Humanity was started by Millard and Linda Fuller.
In 1984, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn took their first Habitat work trip, the Jimmy Carter Work Project, to New York City. Their personal involvement in Habitat’s ministry brought the organization national visibility and sparked interest in Habitat’s work across the nation. HFHI experienced a dramatic increase in the number of new affiliates around the country.

The vision is what is important. The Fuller’s had the vision, but Jimmy Carter brought it into the light. Brad had the vision, and brought it into the light by his personal involvement. Stop trying to find something bad in something good that is helping people in need.

You are unhappy much. Peace

Can someone please try to repost it or something? Or put it on their own (public) photobucket? Everyone here and on JJB is swooning about how cute the picture is and I’m dying to see it.

PT - I agree w/ you about that whiny fraud- I haven’t read any of the her last interviews except for the EW and that’s b/c I automatically clicked on a link someone posted; and that’s time wasted that I will never get back. I also never click on her threads anymore b/c I don’t want her to get any hits from me - and if more people did that she would probably disappear sooner. That beeyotch is beyond pathetic and manipulative…. I can’t wait to see her reap what she’s been sowing for a while.

Aww that pic is love, her hand is so lovely around him. :)

Both Brad & Angie’s movies were among their list of the Top 10 Movies. As a matter-of-fact both of Brad’s movies made the list. Congrats to Brad & Angie. :)
