Miranda Kerr Flirts With The Flagship
Miranda Kerr celebrates the grand opening of Victoria’s Secret new Lexington Avenue flagship store in New York City on Tuesday.
“My mom didn’t mind seeing me up there in my underwear ,” Kerr recently said of her modeling. “I am 25 and it’s all very lovely and like a costume. It’s beautiful and romantic … it’s not like standing up there in my everyday underwear. It’s a theatrical show and everyone is there to have a good time.”
Despite the rumors, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are not engaged, Orlando’s rep told JustJared.com on Sunday.

That’s not true. There was a big article about Megan being called back in and she agreed to stay on. That was not always the way it was. Miranda was billed as the new face of dj’s and then she took a back seat after just one show. Besides that there was very negative market research results on her likeability and even writers in sydney were saying she just didn’t have what it takes to carry it on her own.

@349- Hon, those articles about DJs surprise and disappointment in her reception came from DJs own people. Now granted, that Marketing Director might not be employed by DJs after this elemental fail….but even people way outside the fandom “haters” have observed that this was all about getting Bloom tied to the DJs name. But it seems their paying clientele aren’t buying her and this charade.
She is going to be 26 next year, it’s sad that she become well known when she is so much older than other models that already made it. In 5 years she will be 30, she says she wants to retire from modeling and live on some solar powered farm or some shiz like that. But didn’t Orlando say he wanted to be with a woman that worked and not just stayed at home all day taking care of him? What is Miranda going to do then if she wants to be a house wife on a farm?
I wouldn’t be surprised if Blowmie isn’t getting a little somethin’ somethin’ from DJs anyhow. Why not, right? He’s sold off everything else of worth in his life. @Destiny is a choice - thanks for the compliments on my posts (I dont get many lol) but I have to disagree somewhat with inserting Orlando’s name in the same context. I do agree that he has changed to some degree from the person we were introduced to 8 years ago, but I dont think that fame (and famewhoring) have been or always were his ambition. Kerr on the otherhand has displayed that type of hypocritical behavior since people started uttering her name wondering who it was that Bloom was being seen around with. I do agree however that who we surround ourselves with is a reflection of who we are (or might be and cant face). I think the same can be said for famers and non-famers alike.
For the person trying to defend Kerr’s career and behavior since post 328 on, yes she is fairly sucessful as a model, that is clear if you look at how many models or aspiring models are out there seeing as most end up doing “dial a girlfriend” commercials, nudie mags, or some Vegas style schlip of some kind. She is in the top percentiles if you look at it that way, but heres the point that is being overlooked from the other angle. Since being spotted with Bloom in March of 2007, she spent the first 9 or so months of that, and her family as well, making comments about her sucess levels that were lies. Kerr does not command millions, as her mom stated. She just doesnt. The work she does is not a reflection of that. The girls that command millions are the girls you know by first name only. You know who they are, and what they do. Miranda has some sucess under her belt, but she and her family have lied and puffed that success up thinking people are stupid and will just buy it. Their was certain disclaimer type wording used in that Forbes article that proves where those puffed up numbers came from, and then to top it off with whipped cream, Gisele (the only one with nothing to lose by blowing the thing wide open by spilling the truth) came out with a counter statement wanting to know who was getting all that money that Forbes claimed she was making! LOL! I’d like to place bets that Forbes doesnt include Ms Gisele in their annual puff ball article next year. True, we focus on mocking Miranda, because she focused on mocking Orlando’s fandom right from the start. Some choose to forget things she has said and done on the boards and in interviews from the start. Thats their choice. But, the arguement can be defended from both sides. To me she has proven to be a liar and a cheater, and seems to be VERY hungry for more and more fame, and there’s the conundrum - professing to want simple homey family warm fuzzy things in life, and modeling is not her aspiration for life, just doesnt sell. It just doesnt. She represents the exact opposite, and her image is two-faced. If she just was who she really is, then people would probably tend to respect her more, but she isnt what she tries to sell. Hope that makes sense. I think her trying to sell herself as a good role model for young girls is even more appalling. I’d shjit a brick if my 13 year old daughter came home with that book in her hand saying she wanted to be like Miranda. I’d certainly make it a point to raise my complaints about it on more than just a gossip blog - thats for sure.
So back to Destiny, this person who Bloom chooses to keep company with every 4 to 6 weeks, really boggles the mind. Im not his mom or his sister, so really, my opinion is just that, an opinion, but she is the dulling oxygen to his silvery shine. Too bad really, because although celebs get cut break after break, there comes a time when people just dont want to watch their downfall anymore.
When did he “party” on UNICEF’s dime? If anything, he has saved them a ton of money. When he travels for them, he doesn’t bring an entourage of 50, and often tailors the trip in conjunction with work. He has saved them a bunch of money on airfare alone. He flew to Nepal the first time, when he was already in Hong Kong talking to Johnny To. Much cheaper than flying from either LA or London. He flew to Moscow on Land Rover’s dime, and spent time with the kids there. That didn’t cost UNICEF any money at all. The party that he attended while in Moscow was thrown by Land Rover, not UNICEF. A poster on another board had an interesting theory involving the second time he flew to Nepal. They theorized that Orlando had got the buzz-cut because he was filming the prison release scene for FRI, in a building that To wanted to use before they tore it down. I forget where the building was, but it was somewhere in China, so again, a cheap flight for UNICEF.

How much does a victoria’s secret model earns?
A Victoria’s Secret model makes around 1 million to around 4 million dollars in their contracts. If you are like Miranda Kerr, and have an Angel Contract, then you probably make around 1 million dollars depending on your contract and how long that contract runs. The contract can run from 1 year to 4 years.
Where are you getting this information from? Oh your ass? I thought so. Put up or shut up. The article above was one that was trying to be in her favor and even they said it was only $750 for three years.
It was also pointed out that if Miranda was making millions she would not take a second fiddle job paying around $100,000 if she didn’t need to.
You obviously have no idea of what you’re talking about. VS does not give out “1 year to 4 year” contracts. Their standard Angel contract is for 3 years. Exceptional Angels like Adriana and Alessandra have been given 5 year contracts but even Heidi only has a 3 year contract. Adriana has the highest paying contract at $5M/year for 5 years, the rest make less than her. Miranda was unknown when she was signed and is one of (if not the) lowest paid Angels and has no position to bargain for more because she’s not in demand by other companies like other Angels are.

That article quoting 750,000, was published in October. Which means that their information was obtained BEFORE Miranda was made an Angel in November. You can’t quote that article as a basis for determining her salary. I’m not saying that what #368 is true. I’m just saying that your information is out of date, and innacurate.
