Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes look positively flawless on split covers of T: The New York Times Style Magazine’s “Holiday/Reinvention” issue. Here are great interview highlights via Us Weekly:
Tom on when Katie confessed to him that she dreamed of marrying him as a little girl: “I said I wouldn’t want to disappoint her. I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her.”
Tom on buying Katie an engagement ring shortly after their first date in 2005: “At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I put her off by changing the subject. I wanted to ask her.”
Katie on being overwhelmed by Tom: “When I met Tom I was completely in love and, yes, I admired him growing up – he’s Tom Cruise! [After our first meeting, I was] completely in love. He was so warm, and I thought, ‘Wow, you can be a superstar and a human being.’ He made me feel so amazing.”
Katie on life since her romance with Tom began: “My life has expanded. My family and friends are all a part of this bigger life.”
Katie on people still having the wrong idea about her: “There’s a misperception about me that I just became this wallflower, this woman who doesn’t have any control of her life. And that’s pretty wrong. From the very beginning, I’ve made choices in my life that have been very strong. ”

I agree with above statement. I also do not hate the Tomkats. But there is something off and phoney about them as a couple. They just do not seem sincere or genuine in any way at all.
I also think Tom is gay. And he should just fess up and come out, instead of hiding his truth. And Katie Holmes. I just don’t believe anything she says or does these days. Katie just isn’t a good enough actress to pull this charade off.

Katie is a “strong” woman?? When and how?? What is Katie doing that is making her “strong”?
Carrying all those designer handbags or maybe the massive shopping trips she goes on OR fighting off all the paps she calls on a daily basis.
I wouldn’t call that “strong”. Perhaps “predictable” or “transparent”.
Of course they look flawless Jared–the magazine photoshopped the hell out of them. No moles, no wrinkles, no pits, no nothing.
Yuk!! Tom and Katie are just a downright creep-fest. I feel so sorry for the kid they always drag out for the paps. And their constant need for attention is unnerving. Tomkat really do deserve each other because nobody else wants them!!!!

Oh give us all a break. - all American couple? Most of us don’t have his money and never will. Most of us have values and don’t marry for money. Most of us don’t pimp out our child on a daily basis. Most of us don’t end up on the cover of a magazine so photoshopped you can’t even tell who the person is. etc.
And TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE SACRED? Hahahaha. Tom has been divorced twice. Katie lived with whats-his-name. They had their child first and then got married.
Yeah that is real traditional. I assume this is a swipe at the Brange. There are many ways to have a family. You can be like Keith and Nicole and get married first and then have the baby. You can be like Brangelina and join your hearts and adopt and have kids. You can be like Tom and Katie and have the baby first and then get married.
As long as there is love and respect (which there is most likely in all three of those examples) and the kids are taken care of–so what? Traditional marriage–TomKat. I don’t think so. If any of the three examples are traditional it is Kidman-Urban. Married in a Catholic Church and then the baby came after the marriage.

All Tom and Katie do is TRY and get attention. If they don’t get it from the paps and rags, then Tom buys it like he did this cover shot.
They are so full of themselves. Even during the holidays, it wasn’t about the family but how many times the paps could shoot them. The poor, poor kids looked miserable as did the Beckhams.
