Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes look positively flawless on split covers of T: The New York Times Style Magazine’s “Holiday/Reinvention” issue. Here are great interview highlights via Us Weekly:
Tom on when Katie confessed to him that she dreamed of marrying him as a little girl: “I said I wouldn’t want to disappoint her. I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her.”
Tom on buying Katie an engagement ring shortly after their first date in 2005: “At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I put her off by changing the subject. I wanted to ask her.”
Katie on being overwhelmed by Tom: “When I met Tom I was completely in love and, yes, I admired him growing up – he’s Tom Cruise! [After our first meeting, I was] completely in love. He was so warm, and I thought, ‘Wow, you can be a superstar and a human being.’ He made me feel so amazing.”
Katie on life since her romance with Tom began: “My life has expanded. My family and friends are all a part of this bigger life.”
Katie on people still having the wrong idea about her: “There’s a misperception about me that I just became this wallflower, this woman who doesn’t have any control of her life. And that’s pretty wrong. From the very beginning, I’ve made choices in my life that have been very strong. ”

What is the point of these pics? Is it just me? Katie staring off into space and looking vapid like she always does. And yes, Photoshop was at least 50% of these pictures, if not more. People, if you must admire celebrities, admire their real beauty, not something created on a computer.

You’re a pill, and I’m silly?! It only takes once to throw the first stone and set yourself up for reciprocation. You’re very selective about what you read. How do you KNOW it was only once; are you privy to every interview, conversation, discussion that TC is involved in? But here’s what makes you a pill… “She doesn’t feely anything because that never happened”. How would you know whether she feels anything? How would you know that it NEVER happened anymore than someone knows it DID happen. “You read wrong, #106.” Now, how in the world could you KNOW that. Perhaps you’re just some idiot kid who isn’t mature enough to know better, but get a clue. You set yourself up constantly as some expert, using sentences like “she doesn’t feel that, he doesn’t feel that, they don’t do that”. You don’t KNOW that. You’d be much wiser to start your sentences with “I don’t believe she feels that”…. or “it doesn’t appear to me that she feels that”. It’s all just your opinion, just like everyone elses, but you state it as fact. *laughing* You really are a pill.

Love them! Any idiot coudl see that Tom and Katie are truly in love. Bunch of jealous haters here! And Tom is 46, but he looks much, much younger.
Wow, they look incredible. I’m beginning to become a huge fan again. I’ve always liked Tom, and just newly started liking Katie. Together, they are a lot of fun to watch and beautiful. They are stunning.
What are you talking about, #126? What second sentence? You mean when I say I don’t care of people dislike TomKat? I don’t acre of they like dislike their acting or fashion or whatever other triviality. I will comment on misconceptions and other such fact-based posts.
Do you say that to other people who gush over nice mag covers or just TomKat, #127?
I’m not very selective over what I read but even if I was, I think would have heard about Cruise pulling a similar stunt in the past, #128.
I know all that stuff because I use common sense and don’t make up my own theories and pass them off as fact. The burden of proof is on the critic and not me. I don’t have to preface my thoughts like that unlike critics unless when it comes to specific details of TomKat’s life.
