Marilyn Manson keeps close to his new girlfriend, LA model Isani Griffith, at the vernissage of his inaugural U.S. exhibition “Marilyn Manson: Trismegistus” during Art Basel Miami 2008 on Thursday.
“That’s my special lady friend,” Marilyn said of Isani at the event, which included his own watercolor paintings (pictured below) at new French-electro club Louis Bar-Lounge at Gansevoort South in Miami’s Design District.
Marilyn, 39, and Isani, 24, have been dating ever since his split last month with Evan Rachel Wood, 21.
Before Isani’s MySpace profile was privatized, she listed her music interests (none of them included her current boyfriend). Here’s who Isani listed: “muse, sneaker pimps, sublime, bjork, nick drake, incubus, sigur ros, the faint, portishead, the doors, goldfrapp, guns n roses, massive attack, the killers, depeche mode, air, tricky, peaches, prince, radiohead, al green, beethoven, marvin gaye, tupac, outkast, daft punk, no doubt, bob marley, etta james, queen, i am x, duran duran, fischerspooner, pink floyd, !!!, the rapture, the libertines, of montreal, rolling stones, led zeppelin, devendra banhart.”

You guys are so closed-minded. I can understand that everyone has an opinion but you guys keep bagging on ONLY his physical appearance wondering “how he gets girls.” It’s because he’s a GENIUS. His work is amazing, whether it’s your style or not. Also, I agree that he is getting older but this is not the best he’s looked. Before these past few years he looked amazing(in his own way.) But I don’t understand why you people are so wrapped up in it. Yeah, he’s wearing makeup. Yeah he’s not Mario Lopez or some stupid ****. He’s not tan and he doesn’t shop at Abercrombie and Fitch. But at least he’s being himself. I personally am not attracted to guys when the only thing going for them is their looks but their personalities/minds reflect that they are total idiots. But then I guess that’s what people are are obsessed with, sex and physical appearance. Good for you, resorting to primal nature… not giving a chance to understand his art or look past the things he tries to shock you with. What you’ll find are actually some of the most beautiful things ever created.
You should all be ashamed of how entirely superficial you are. Manson is in fact a very intelligent man, along with a talented artist, philosopher and poet. I am 24 as well, and I see nothing wrong with the age difference. If they were instead 65 and 50, who would really care? Anyway, after how his previous relationships have gone, does anyone have the right to blame him for enjoying himself? If i were repeatedly used and thrown away, I’d be staying in a “non-committed” pairing too. Yes, he’s weird, but is there a single one of us who isn’t? We may not wear it so openly, but he’s just another person.

MM is not scarry, he has more creatiity in his fingernail than most of you who think he’s weird. Its kinda funny because Van Goughe chopped off a piece of his ear, and lady gaga can beautify death, but Brian is the “weird” one. It’s almost a little ironic how his mental capaticy greatly exceeds everyones : ) just think about how easily he makes you feel “uncomfortable” and how society has made you that way. Enjoy : D
