When we filmed this movie (last year), I took my kids to the set and even though I was in character as an old man, with a horrible prosthesis, they immediately recognized me. Mad was the first one to say: ‘Hi, Dad,” and I was in shock.
I was practically a grandfather, and nobody recognized me, but he did. Then it was (Zahara), what else could I think but that familial relationship calls. Eastwood’s new leading lady shows grit

As a superstar actress, the tattooed Oscar winner (”Girl, Interrupted”) has always had fun tweaking conventional ideas about roles and identity — and people’s expectations of her.

That helps explain how the 33-year-old mother of six and staunch human rights advocate can seamlessly slip from playing the ultraviolent assassin of the summer hit “Wanted” into the heartbreaking role of “Changeling’s” Christine Collins, a single parent whose 9-year-old son vanishes into thin air in 1920s L.A.

Based on a true story, the Clint Eastwood-directed film also examines the nature of identity — the police insist that a runaway found in Illinois is her son, although he’s three inches shorter — and the role of the distraught mother proved to be a perfect fit for Jolie. Oscar-winning producer Brian Grazer approached Jolie “very early on, and once Clint was interested, I called her and that’s all I had to say,” he recalls. “She just said, ‘Let’s go.’ She was extremely enthusiastic. It wasn’t any gigantic producing skill on my part.

“It’s a tour de force for an actress, and many actresses wanted the part, because it’s appealing on so many levels,” he adds. “We spoke to Angie first, and she’s the one we wanted, because she has it all. She has credibility, intensity and evokes empathy, and that’s what you need in this character. She’s also very attractive and appealing, and that matters, because what’s going on in the film is so horrific.

“It’s such a tragedy and such a brutal role that in order for an audience to get through it, you not only have to have tremendous screen impact and presence, you have to have that sexual or female appeal, and Angie has all that.”

Once shooting began, Grazer was immediately “very impressed” by Jolie’s on-set demeanor.

“She’s enormously committed and dedicated, both as an actress and a mother,” he notes, “and so this project was right in the nexus of what is primordial to a woman — her relationship with her child. So the protection she’d naturally offer her kids in real life, coupled with her critical awareness of her own childhood and introspective observations of that, all contributed to her personal interest in the role. I marveled at her ability to connect with this character.”

Grazer also was amazed at Jolie’s ability to focus on the task at hand, “even while hundreds of paparazzi were often trying to take pictures,” he adds. “It never seemed to distract her, or from her complete connection to Clint and their relationship on set. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

My hands are full, clicking here and there. Everywhere you can see beautiful photos of the family. They looked happy. Brad’s father is handsome, don’t you think?　　Angie is really elegant and gorgeous. I gasped when I first saw the pics.

I WONDER IF THE X WOULD LOOK AS BEAUTIFUL AS ANGIE WITH HER HAIR PULLED BACK. NEVER had I seen her with that hairdo. Her hair is always the same. BORING. Angie jo and Brad Pi were trying too much last night , And that kiss is the kiss of death. Believe me. The more they try to sell , The more it will be obvious , they don’t have anything inside to sell.

I used to love how they were on RC. They looked happy from within. No such a big PDA on RC in front of camera but a very good affectionate between them.

It is certainly very weird , why they have changed suddenly and why they are acting like this in front of camera suddenly.

Sorry I’m reading from newest post back and I have to say I’m impressed with Brad’s parents coming out and showing their support and love for Angie. I”m sure they were mortified by the recent idiotic jenho interviews and wanted to show everyone how much they love and support B&A’s relationship. I’ll bet they are so happy their son finally has someone who loves, and is willing to make a family and they see how happy he finally is and are thankful for their beautiful grandkids. How could you not be proud?

Folks are ragging on JLo because it was a black tie event but she chose to wear some ****** outfit with her t*ts almost hanging out. Not only that but she was doing the come hither poses that really tacky.

If this had been a premiere for one of her duds, then fine…come out and work your angles. BUT…it wasn’t. It was a classy black tie affair. No other woman there, Eva Longwhoria included, dressed like they were at an awards show or going to a runway show. It was a tasteful event and most importantly IT WASN’T HER EVENT!!!

Sorry to keep harping on that but that’s what it comes down to for me. You don’t try to upstage the stars at premieres. Believe me - people there WILL remember this. Nobody likes it when has-beens try to make someone else’s event about themselves.
