OlderCate Blanchett: Perfectly Fit For McQueen
Cate Blanchett glitters in gold Alexander McQueen at the premiere of her upcoming Christmas Day film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button on Monday in Westwood, Calif.
The 39-year-old Aussie actressm who finished off her outfit with Roger Vivier peep-toe sandals, recently sang praises of her costar Brad Pitt. She told ET, “I happen to really think Brad is a great human being, and he has such a particular take on the world.”
Taraji P. Henson, who plays Brad’s adoptive mother in the film, adds, “He’s a sweetie pie actually. You know, you hear rumors and stories about actors who are on a certain level and, you know, they won’t show up for your off camera stuff and he was always there. Always there, and so generous. He wouldn’t have it any other way.”

She is a lady
my guess is she wore this hideous dress b/c she knew Angelina would be in attendance, and come on, she can’t really compare or compete w/the lush-lipped Jolie. So instead she chose something really, really ugly to stand out…

talk about’ and yes Cate~ delivers… Ha! I love it ( not so much the

Cate is a great actress and a classy woman. This dress and make-up don’t do her justice. The beige insert, tight skirt, and pale lipstick just don’t bring out her beauty.

is it just me or does Cate look old? i didn’t notice until I viewed other pix on a different site but these pix here show and old woman too
everyone says Cate has such great skin but c’mon… look at those pix and tell me where the good skin is.
Okay, I must come to Cate’s defense. I actually think the dress is lovely. I love the neckline and I think the bell skirt with an under pencil skirt is fun. Yes, it’s different but if you walked as many red carpets and attended as many award events as Cate does you would probably start to be more daring as well. She is playful and unafraid to try new things.
Designers try to get away from the expected - as lovely and classic as that may look - it can get tiresome. Cate has always been experimental - she is, after all, an artist - and I love her for it. In the end, it’s just a one time outfit.

I know she is fashionable, but sometimes we have to admit that fashion is just plain stupid… what a ridiculous outfit!
God, what’s your problem with creativity and some more daring choices?! That’s the fun of fashion, not the same always boring outfits.
And why do you compare everybody with Angelina?! Come on, why would you want everybody to be the same, what’s the fun of that?
Also, just stop with that botox thing, it’s pretty obvious that Cate doesn’t use botox, I mean she’s a beautiful woman but she doesn’t have the stiff and all stretched face with no lines that most people who do use it have.
I’ve never seen Cate look so wretched at one of her premieres. Her hair isn’t even combed, no make-up and she looks exhausted. The dress speaks for itself. YECH!!!
Oh wait, nevermind =) I saw this on TV. These photos don’t do her justice. Loved it when I saw her move in it.
