‘Dragonball’ Trailer Released
Check out the new trailer for Dragonball!!!
Synopsis via Wiki: Goku (Justin Chatwin) goes on a journey to find Master Roshi (Chow Yun-Fat) and gather the seven mystical Dragon Balls before the evil Lord Piccolo (James Marsters) can. Along his way, he meets Bulma (Emmy Rossum) who then joins him to help him in his mission. When arriving at Roshi’s place, he is not welcomed with an embrace but has to fight Roshi. Roshi soon learns that Goku is the grandson of Gohan (Randall Duk Kim) and thus trains him to prepare him for the ultimate battle with Lord Piccolo to prevent him from collecting the powerful Dragon Balls.
Dragonball is expected to hit theaters April 8, 2009.

I LOVE DRAGON BALL! I really wish the movie doesn’t ruin the successful dragon ball franchise :(

Oh god, I just watched the trailer.. wtf?! It doesn’t capture the feel of the earlier part of the series.. where Goku was younger, had that monkey tail, and was a ‘clueless’, innocent country kid who was just so loveable!

Super Mario Bros. (1993) and Double Dragon (1994) look more high budget than this awful & boring preview. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some EMMY, JUSTIN, YUN-FAT and JAMIE (MTV’s: The Real World), but this doesn’t make me want to watch the movie. I mean, all I’ve seen from X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE are some promos and I’m already dying to watch it… and I ain’t even a JACKMAN fan! I don’t know, maybe I’m just hating cuz I never really liked Dragonball to begin with, I was more of a Sailor Moon fanatic, LMAO!!

I used to watch ths show when I was younger my cousin’s forced me and i grew to like it now what is this ****! seriously this is the best they could do they should have kept it close to the original i mean no offence but a white dude name Goku HA! the girl who plays Bulma looks fierce so I would give the movie a chance

I think everyone feels obliged to pan. It isn’t half a bad as all that. The trailer barely tells anything other than it being an action movie.

They just absolutely ruined Dragonball, I mean some of the cast is OK. But Goku? I mean no offense to Justin, but he just doesn’t suit the role.
The rest of the cast look OK + I can’t really judge the plot until I see it, but as of now it all looks so incredibly cheesy + something that shouldn’t be in the cinemas, which really is a shame considering Dragonball is such an amazing anime… =(

oh goodness i LOVEEEEEE Drgaonball, i grew up watching that show. thats how i learned japanese,watching every single episode…not like anyone cares haha but I’M EXCITEDD
this movie bites, roshi is suppose to be bald and really short and all hunchbacked with red glasses (perverted also), where the hell is krilin? plus goku in this story line is supposed to be a kid (very small), bulma without hair color looks lame as hell, bottom line this movie changes the story ruinin the original DB series. it aint funny, like a lot of ppl say: it rapes our childhood. we grew up on this stuff so we know the story line, we can imagine the characters but i guess the director didnt catch the fans wave cuz he ruined the movie, i wont even try to see the real thing cuz it looks really lame!
