OlderAngelina Jolie: Honored By Golden Globe Nomination
Angelina Jolie was just nominated for a Golden Globe in the category of Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in the Clint Eastwood-directed film The Changeling.
Jolie told ET, “I am honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press in a category with so many extraordinary women. What an amazing experience, having the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood on a film I care so deeply about.”
The 33-year-old actress is up against Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married), Meryl Streep (Doubt), Kristin Scott Thomas (I’ve Loved You So Long) and Kate Winslet (Revolutionary Road).
UPDATE: Brad Pitt was nominated for Best Actor his title role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. His reaction statement: “I am pleased to be nominated for this award and would like to also congratulate David, Eric and Alexandre on their nominations. We’re all very proud of the film and thankful to the Hollywood Foreign Press for recognizing our work.”

I am so tired about hearing about Angelina Jolie! She is such a phony. I really hope Anne Hathaway wins.
If you are tired of hearing her name dear a click of the mouse will catapult you to maniston blog unless you fingers are stuck in JM’s pee pee. I hear she has won the contest for Hugh Hefner’s 2010 foursome competition. Go cheer her she would need your love!

I think Kate winslet has the leonardo dicaprio curse.
I know Paul newman never won an oscar till his old age and he was considered one the best actors of his time.
he was nominated seven times before he won.
al pacino was nominated seven times also and won on the eigth time. he was much older by then.
Ktherine hepburn won one for her first film and was nominated nin times after that before she won the second one.
Meryl streep has been nominated ten times since she last won.
but the point is this. the mere fact that they still recognize kate w. is a good thing b/c then she will be still in high demand with the studios.
even if she doesn’t win.

I think the tiltles of almost all the blogs today says it all. She may have timed this to coincide with GG anouncements or Brad’s Article but IMO it didn’t play the way she thought it would. She has made a complete fool out of herself today. Like I said in a previous post a couple of weeks ago, just when I think she can’t embarrass herself anymore than she already has she proves me wrong.
Congrats to both Brad and Angie on the GG nominations. I hope the upcoming award season will be the Year of the Jolie-Pitts.

angelina needs to gain some weight. she looks ill. she’s not going to win any awards for changeling, even if she’s nominated. not with winslet, hathaway, streep, michelle williams as contenders this award season.

who cares if she wins or not? the point here is she’s nominated which means her hard work was appreciated. getting the award is just a bonus. and btw, that photo was from her film last year. she had gain more weight now.
I like the fact that she is nominated with those other actresses. I think they are all tremendously talented and what is interesting is that you have diverse generation :

* the fairly new commers like Anne,
*The relatively experienced 30 someting (Angie and Kate who are born the same year) who are in an age where they entered a second step in their career receiving role with more depth and range requiring more emotional challenges yet actresses who could still physically challenge the new comers;
* and the legend who write the true story of a successfull lengthy career where emotions and the ability to play diverse characters make you masterizing your craft like you breathe air..thar’s Merryll…that’s the route that you enter when you reach 40.

OMG - Did she really say that about Mariah Carey? I’m not a Mariah Carey fan, but that comment is really uncalled for. Simply rude and mean-spirited. Either the W or last year’s Esquire cover where all Angie had on was green silk sheet and a “Come and get me, big boy!” look on her face. The difference of course is that Angie looked sultry, sexy and seductive. X looks like the CockerSpaniel I had when I was 8. He sat just like that when he wanted a dog biscuit. Kind of appropriate really. The only difference is that I gave the dog a treat, but I’d swat X on the nose with a rolled up newspaper and shove her out the doggie door.
