OlderGossip Girl Spin-Off Starring Lily & Rufus?
The Gossip Girl spin-off will reportedly center around Serena’s mom, Lily, and Dan’s dad, Rufus, currently played by Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle.
“The show will focus on the early romance between Lily and Rufus,” an insider tells Star. “It begins when they first meet, during a time when Rufus and his band are at the height of their career. The show will follow the high society and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle in New York.”
None of the original cast members will be leaving the show as, the insiders adds, “two new actors will be hired to play the young Lily and Rufus. Producers are planning to introduce the new couple during a flashback scene in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl.”

UPDATE: Gossip Girl executive producers and Warner Bros. Television tell JustJared.com that there is no approved concept and/or confirmation of a Gossip Girl spin-off at this time.

I am so sick of Lily and Rufus on GG, but if the actors that play their younger selves are any good, then maybe I’ll watch it. A Chuck Bass spin-off would have been the best though!

it depends all upon whether or not the new people casted have the right look . . . Rufus looks and plays the part and Lilly is just so beautiful. There is a high bar set, so we’ll see.

honestly? i’d rather watch serena-blair-nate-chuck-dan before serena went away to boarding school.
that’s a great idea but i rather the spin-off be about chuck or blair.

And i hope both gets in gossip girl finally their Happy end. Both earns this so much more as some others there. Sorry..=)
