Kate Walsh: Divorce After 15 Months
Private Practice star Kate Walsh’s movie exec husband Alex Young has filed for divorce from the actress, reports ET.
The date of separation is listed as November 22, 2008, just before the Thanksgiving holiday. According to the filing papers, Alex cited irreconcilable differences.
Kate and Alex married in September of 2007.
Something crazy must have happened between November 9 and 29 as the couple looked quite happy together in Las Vegas!
UPDATE: Kate’s reps tells JustJared.com, “Papers have been filed to amicably end the marriage of executive Alex Young, and actress Kate Walsh. The couple remain on friendly terms and sincerely hope the media will respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

Sad news :(
But given they both have very long-hour jobs - Kate on PrP, Alex as Co-President of Fox Studios - it would impact any marriage, yet alone one that began as things for both of them job-wise went crazy.
Just hope it’s amicable and they stay friends.

Like someone said upthread, I hope it remains amicable. Nothing is guaranteed in this life, but its sad when something you believe in doesnt work out.

Maria - That is pure fiction. Give us some proof ! Kate has dated guys both in the public eye and not in the public eye.
Before she was in Greys she was engaged to one guy for a long time, and the only two people she has dated in the public eye have been Justin Kirk (from Weeds) and Dave Annable (from B&S) - who always spoke fondly of her after they split.

Not long ago there was all those pregnancy rumors floating around Kate. I hope nothing horrible happened with them losing a baby and then drifting apart. **** like that breaks couples up especially with both of them having jobs with very long working hours.

Well the marriage lasted 15 months which is longer than many a Hollywood marriage between two people in the industry !

Oh also, when I met her, she didn’t have any make up on and she pointed that out, she said she looked aweful, so I said, “What? Are you kidding? You always look amazing” :)
