Suri Cruise Does the Sonoma Squint

Robert Downey Jr definitely deserves the globe, but alas he will be robbed yet again. This time, because of Heath Ledger’s untimely death. Yes, it was a good performance but Downey is waay overdue. I feel like his win would be a cumulative award for some of the amazing films he’s made over the past years, especially after recuperating

Tom deserves it also Downey. Tropic Thunder would be unfunny and boring without them. Suri and Katie are always adorable
in my book.

Poor kid! Both Tom and Katie make me sick! Without Suri they don’t have nothing else to be popular and they are using her as a puppet! Katie is starting to look more and more as a copy of Samantha Ronson!

Nothing I typed implied that Tiny Tom and Robocat are “popular” DUE to Suri. I said those two idiots pimp Suri to the paps. Do I need to use simple language for you, little man? Tom is mainly “popular” (and most remembered) because he had a very public mental breakdown acting like a fool and jumping on couches like white trash and talking garbage that only a fool would ramble on about. Robocat birthed a cute kid, married a rich mental case, and joined a cult of spacemen, so there’s her claim to fame. Many of us just love watching homoboy and what’s-her-name make total idiots of themselves…daily. Your motives aren’t as pure, so back-off jerk.

ITA…karen #63. Ledger deserves to win, not because he died, but because he gave an ABSOLUTELY amazing performance. If he wins, I would hate for the accomplishment to be lessened because of his death. He was an incredible actor.

And Tom Cruise isn’t even in the same league with an actor like Heath Ledger or Robert Downey, Jr.

Tom Cruise is a one dimensional actor with embarrassingly limited range. He plays the exact same character in every film.

Thankfully in the last decade or so independent film has come into its own and given a vehicle for real actors to showcase their amazing talents. The era of big dumb movie stars with minimal talent like Tom Cruise are coming to an end. People are smarter and more savvy about what they see on the screen these days, and with such an amazing crop of smaller names rising up from independent film it’s almost laughable how bad he looks in comparison.

Since Katie has been with Tom she lost her beauty. She looks exhausted, wears ugly haircuts, like after rehab. She always looked much younger: when she was 27 she looked like 17 years old. And what now?!She seems to hide the real life with Tom. And he seems to be a hidden tyrant.

I’ve always thought that it was always always the paps fault for stalking kids of celebrities (and our own fault for commenting on these photos, which just makes them more profitable for the websites and so the paps have more reason to continue)

However in the case of Suri, I viewed some YouTube videos of them entering/leaving their apartment/restaurants/theatre just to see the context of the photographers/fans/Cruise family. It really was an eye-opener.

The child should not be subjected to the crowds shouting at them and the photographers’ flashing lights and noise. It looks incredibly intrusive and cannot be healthy.

A number of questions came to mind:

- If Katie is out at work, surely Tom can stay at home with Suri and put her to bed (or perhaps another family member if need be)? Is it necessary for all 3 to be out together, especially at night-time, especially with such attention from the photographers?
- Surely there is some place they could stay to avoid such attention: such as an apartment with a private car park, to avoid the crowds daily and just drive to their destination?
- Do they want their child to grow up expecting such attention from strangers, believing it to be normal? I can’t imagine any parent thinking this is a good idea.
- In comparison to a lot of other people in the public eye, they don’t seem to take any steps to reduce attention on their child. Other people are photographed with their kids when out in public but it really isn’t a daily occurance and seems a lot more healthy. There also seems to be a good balance between public and private time.

There’s a video on x17 of Katie and Suri leaving a shop in NYC and heading to their car BUT before they get there, Katie stops in the middle of the street to bend down and play with Suri and her doll. You can see a wall of photographers clicking away in the background. Then, after the photogs have had plenty of time to take a picture of this heartwarming moment (in the middle of an NYC street with people all around) Katie and Suri get up and head into their car. There is no way in the world anyone can convince me now that this kid is not being pimped out to the press.
