OlderBronx Wentz Looks Just Like Mommy!
Pete Wentz has taken to his blog to address rumors that he and wife Ashlee Simpson are selling tabloids the first pictures of their son Bronx Mowgli, 3 weeks.
In an entry titled, “Ring, ring, it’s the truth calling,” Pete writes, “About baby pics gossip: truth is like every celeb couple we were offered mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him.”
“We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way. However, we have made the decision to not sell Bronx’s baby pictures right now. We understand that like other celebrities have said, ‘There is a bounty on our heads’ for these pictures. There is a danger when there are cameras being held over walls and into our backyard. We are followed day and night and that was fine when it was us but we are going to do our best to shelter Bronx from that as much as possible. It’s scary to be followed by 10 cars to your home. We understand the curiosity, just not the viciousness that comes along with it when it becomes so insatiable. We know there will be a time when we’ll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiousity [sic] becomes unsafe or simply because we’re proud parents who want to show him off! We know our fans support and care about us and want to know about our family and we’ve always been straight up and open with those who care about us most, so at some time, when it makes sense, Bronx will be out in the world.
“In the meantime, we’d like to say thank you to those who have allowed us relative privacy in letting us just be a family for now - and to enjoy all the happiness he’s brought us.”

That is so great of them. I knew they weren’t going to see pictures of Bronx. Ashlee and Pete are going to be really great parents.
i have a solution that all celebs should use.
make youre own site. if you that have one already.
and put pics up there. so in that case. for everyone who comes to have a look on youre site, you will get money. isnt that correct?
and that money you can donate to charity.
instead of letting the media fight over the pics. they think in youre hands, by controlling them.
by the way. i dont by that they come after us anyhow for pics. i mean, you will keep that problem.
for example brangelinas twins. no one has seen their faces on a pic since the pics in the mags. so you dont think that paparazzi are still after those second pics? cause with a baby who is changing everyday. those pics after a month or 2, 3 stay interesting.
especially if you hide youre kids like that. so in a way i think that celebs bring this media hype on themselfs.
Here’s the thing Pete…even if you did “pimp” out the baby by selling the baby pictures, I still wouldn’t buy the magazine. Ashlee and yourself are pretty boring - not my favorite celebs. By the time the baby is 5, you guys are going to break up after you realized you married because Ashlee was pregnant (this is the truth people) and you’re going to want to see other people.
Plus, the name of your son is what we say…”trying too hard”. You guys are not even from the Bronx (at least Brooklyn Beckham was concieved there) and the Jungle book is just a contrived way of saying Mowgli was an inspiration for two modern adults to name their son. “The Jungle book was so great we wanted to name him Bronx Mowgli” lol.
Just admit the fact that you wanted to be in the “pool” of celebrities who name kids weird names just for the hell of it.
Fara, you’re proposition wouldn’t work because if they put the pics on their site…there will be no need to pay them because people can just copy and paste the pictures to put them on magazines. What you put on the internet is at your own discretion. People who are more talented than Ashlee Simpson don’t get paid for putting their videos on Youtube. It is what it is…
Gwen and Gavin (Rossdale) put the pictures of their newborn son Zuma on their site. It was easier for them to do that than a photoshoot for People magazine or something like that. I doubt they got paid for it.

but isnt it true that you get paid for every tick on youre site.
especially if you got a lot of visitors? maybe i am wrong, but i really thought that was the case. cause websites like USmag do get paid for every visitor otherwise it wouldnt be interesting for them to start a site, when they can sell mags for money.
by the way. cant you secure youre site, so that people cant take youre pics. i mean for example the pics that mags like W put on of their celebs. arent they protected so that no one can easily copie them and put them on their site.
i really think that there is a solution for such a thing. i mean we live in 2008 not 1945
You can secure your site but it won’t stop people who are great with the internet to steal pictures. Even if they found a way for people to not copy and paste, someone will end up taking a camera to take a picture of the photo on the site. People do it all the time. There are videos on Youtube that people post of taping something off the internet or television i.e. a music video or a film. Weird…but it does happen.
I don’t know what it takes to get paid for having a website though. I know Perez Hilton and Just Jared get paid somehow but that’s because they’re completely devoted to their blogs which indeed are popular. Celebs update their sites sporadically. Celebs on Myspace usually have over 10,000 friends but they’re not getting paid. I don’t think Tom has the money to pay every celeb who registers for Myspace.

Yeah I don’t believe that for a second. Taking everything into account - the economy, how every gossip mag is cutting staff, how selling baby pics is all of a sudden “bad” and how these 2 aren’t exactly A-list, I’m thinking they weren’t going to get the $$ they wanted to then they decided to take the “high road.”
I could care less about seeing this baby - I just can’t take anything these two say seriously after they actually went and named their child Bronx.
Even selling the pictures… Would ANYONE BUY IT?!

Amy - you are so damn right. It’s pretty obvious that they weren’t getting a shitload of money for the baby pics of Bronx and the “buyer” outed them lol. I don’t believe his rant because he went into saying he won’t sell any pictures for the fact of photogs invading his backyard but then he says they will share him with the world eventually as if “it’s a planned presentation”. I mean you can’t plan a paparazzi shot unless you are desperate lol.

Why does everyone try to insinuate Brad and Angelina into their conversations ? Possibly so they can get attention. What Brad and Angelina did with the money for the baby pictures was put to good use–they donated it to charity. Money that was very much needed. There was so much money that they are still donating to worthy causes. Why not sell pictures if you are using the proceeds to save lives and/or make life better for others.
Why all the hating? Ashlee and Pete have made the desicion to not sell the pictures of their baby to the press. Y`all should respect that. I wish Ashlee, Pete and little baby Bronx everything well and happiness in the future.
There’s nothing wrong with them not wanting to sell the photos to the media. I agree with everything he said. Let them be a family. I honestly didn’t think that was so much to ask.

Yeah, I agree with those who said the celeb should just post the picture on their own site. Wentz said they weren’t selling pictures of the baby “right now,” which kind of sounds like he’s willing to do it later. Why does everyone have to sell them? Just post the dang thing yourselves, and that way you don’t have to worry about photographers trying to get that “first photo.”

Brad and Angie use the money for charities to help less fortunate people and they’re absolutely right.
I’m glad Brad and Angie don’t make their own blog and post their baby pics for everyone to look, copy and then make money and get away.
Sorry, they are their own babies not public babies.
