Gerard Butler is ‘Made in L.A.’
Gerard Butler flexes his muscles in his ‘Made in L.A. Fitness” shirt while leaving new hotspot Deluxe nightclub in Hollywood on Friday morning.
The 39-year-old actor recently met up with Hollywood “It” girl, Jennifer Aniston to talk about a comedy where a bounty hunter’s next target is his ex-wife, after skipping out on bail. Andy Tennant (Hitch) will direct the film, which will start shooting in May. Andy also recently directed the Kate Hudson/Matthew McConaughey film, Fool’s Gold.

Please do not compare Gerry to Heath Ledger. That’s way too extreme. Too close to home for me too - I’m Australian, the same age as Ledger, I’m aquainted with one of his co-stars from ‘Blackrock’ through a mutual friend and I’ve lost a loved one in similar circumstances.
This is the second thread on this website in the last few days which clearly shows a rather unhappy Butler. He just appears to me to be really weary in all these photos.
I’ve tried to keep my posts neutral but frank and honest about how I feel. I really want to like the guy but a lot of the comments I’ve seen posted on this site and others are rather malicious, and are not really working in his favour.

I guess this clarifies any doubt I might have held about some of the people here commenting. Some of you obviously never go and do a hard workout at a gym. If you did, you would know that usually you sweat a lot and even if you take a shower, if you only came with your gymclothes on account of you driving yourself back home, your clothes are still full of sweat. Just look at one of TMZ’s past shows where a very sweaty Sophie Monk even made Max drool, calling her his first ex-wife and yet, even her leggings were wet with sweat. She looked like she had peed in them.
And as anybody who does a hard workout will know, if you don’t enjoy exercising (Gerry has stated that already but he knows he doesn’t have a choice as if he wants to get contracts for lucrative, well-paying commercial action flicks, he has to; the same applies to attracting either hot chicks or hot guys, btw as L.A. is the capital of superficial), you will get out of there even more tired than when you went in.
Plus the guy is not a young lad anymore. He’s nearing middle-age and has less resistance. I doubt very much that he’s back into drinking though but his obvious look of dog-tiredness could be of having yet another night of making out with yet another young, desperate to be seen chick, in full midlife crisis, trying to prove to himself he still can impress and satisfy some young chick who might not even care.

I love that Gerard is branching out into producing films that are more to his taste..He will score big with TUT in April..with TheBlack Freighter dvd in March, and with Game whenever it comes out. LAC should be great..and i love that he’s taking the chance and playing the killer/vigilante.
He has two other projects in the works, besides “Burns.’: Teacher Man,…and The hanging Tale. I cannot wait to see these. The first is a true story about an inspiring Irish teacher in NYC, and the second? I’ve heard it’s a comedic western.

I was at Bar Delux. He came in and talked to the manager of the place who then escorted him in the back.
Now luckily I was born with X-ray vision because my father is from Chernobyl and developed radioactive sperm. I was born with a gift, I can see through walls and people’s clothes. Yes, I love my life.
Anyway, what I saw was shocking. I witnessed a naked young man (must have been about 17/18)being dragged out of a metal trunk by two grunting, burly, bulbous-nosed Vinne Jones lookalikes; they sent the malnourished guy to the VIP lounge with G.
I don’t want to spread malicious lies but I noticed G’s fly was open and he was perspiring when he came out of the club at 2.30am. He also looked very grumpy and said he was pissed off about Woolworths going bankrupt and was angry that he missed the 70% off closing down sale. He also said he hated Eastern European merchandise.Then he kicked the wall and walked to his car.

I too never used to be a fan of Colin Farrell’s - I couldn’t stand him due to his off-screen antics and he never really did anything for me in the pin-up sense…but he has grown on me as an actor worthy of respect in his field. Isn’t that the point of being a celebrity attached to charities…to get publicity for a cause. I know about his attendance at one charity event, a kid’s kickkin’ cancer charity about three years ago. I know about his commendable phone call to a dying child and the Live Earth appearance last year.
I know a lot of his fansites get involved in charities ‘in his name’, and the lead owner of the Shin (the restaurant he’s partial co-owner of) is donating two meals for charity, and believe me, this is all extremely commendable, but that’s not him personally.
I’m very sure he’s sincerely grateful to them for doing it in his name. It’s such a shame we don’t see HIM push for charities more…photo-opportunities, interviews, etc. Donations are so desparately needed, and he can make such a difference, and it’s the one time actively seeking publicity is beneficial….and I know, I work on a cancer ward. Seeing the stars hand out food parcels, etc, and getting physically involved in worthwhile causes inspires so many others to help. This is what I can’t understand about him. It’s a shame he isn’t seeking publicity for the right reasons? That would be good publicity. In the UK we see likes of Orlando Bloom and Halle Berry go to Africa to do TV reports for the BBC Children in Need charity. I would be nice to see him actually take a stance on something, an idea of his own. Come on Gerry, let’s see something good on Just Jared!

Gerard was good in 300…He played King Leonidas with alot of bravado..and courage..and I absolutely love the battle sequence of him fighting…My hope is that he finds that same kind of script somewhere along the way….

His performance is to commended and praised.
