Hi I used to be a fan and ran a fansite called Gerry’s CrackWhorés. I have become increasingly disillusioned with Gerry, our beloved pimp messiah. Therefore, I have decided to shut the website down.

Snoopy #1250you are right. Hollywood is too toxic, and is home to all the industry car crashes and habitual rehabbers . I respect James McAvoy who said the place was too fake and he couldn’t live there.
It is sad that Gerard Butler doesn’t have the same standards. He has turned into a celebrity partyer and would turn up to the opening of an envelope, he’s that cheap and desperate for tabloid attention. I think he’s a Scottish Paris Hilton with a very small *****.
He should concentrate more on improving his acting skills and less on courting razzi attention with the celebrity party boy image every night.
Face it..you’re an old man now. You need to stay at home, read a jolly good book and eat Werthers orignal mints by an open fire. Enough with the midlife crisis behavior.

#125/Snoopy,

I too never used to be a fan of Colin Farrell’s - I couldn’t stand him due to his off-screen antics and he never really did anything for me in the pin-up sense…but he has grown on me as an actor worthy of respect in his field. I like his style and his recent work (especially In Bruges), and I now consider myself a Colin Farrell fan. I’m hoping that Gerry’s upcoming productions such as LAC and (if the rumours are true - ‘Crossmaglen’), will really give Gerry the opportunity to show his audiences his potential as an actor and producer (LAC).
Yes - I see great potential in him, but I’m worried he’s wasting it on an obviously hedonistic lifestyle (the only proof I see of this is negative gossip on tabloid sites BTW).
I’m hanging out to hear more on that supposed ‘Rocknrolla’ sequel, and even ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ sounds like a movie worth seeing (I just need to find some kids to babysit when it’s released, and organise a little outing LOL).
I want to be a fan again, but I’m just too put off these days.

I think this is a great quote by DiCaprio….:

“Actor LEONARDO DiCAPRIO has warned the next generation of movie stars to ignore the hype and focus on their careers - as fame can quickly fade.

The Titanic star has risen to become one of the hottest properties in Hollywood after appearing in a string of blockbuster movies. And he is warning current teen heart-throbs such as Zac Efron and Robert Pattinson to focus on their acting if they want to last in the industry.

DiCaprio says, “Well, they’ve been given an unbelievable opportunity, and I hope they know within themselves that all that really matters at the end of the day is the work. “All this noise and attention will absolutely deteriorate and there will be a new, fresh piece of meat for the media to focus on within less than a year’s time. “So what they should do at this moment is work their asses off to prove to the public and prove to themselves that they can absolutely have a long-term career.”

Fallen Angel @ 12/15/2008 at 2:12 pm

He’s boinking Paris Hilton. That’s it. It’s over. He’s finished.

Gerard Butler’s career. 1997-2008… RIP.

Fallen Angel: Now do you really believe some stupid story made up by a gossip site in the UK ? It’s so absurd that it’s not even worth one of his famous denials.

I hope that this Paris Hilton thing is a rumour…pleeeease….
that would be suicide….Here…here’s a noose…

Lara:

I liked what DiCaprio said in his interview with Total Film magazine (December):

Question: Of course now you belong to this ‘Hollywood elite’, how do you maintain a normal life?

Answer: By not doing too much publicity. [laughs] I think people focus on what they read, and what they see on television. It’s either heightened or distilled down as a direct result of how much you’re splashed out there. I honestly think that the purpose of being out in the public eye for an actor is to promote a film, or doing something for charitable reasons, but other than that, there really is no reason for it. Also, it’s harder for people to believe you in certain roles if they’re accustomed to who you are….

I thought, wow, what a mature out-look for a guy who I think still only looks 25!!! I’m sorry, I know PR is the name of the game, but if Gerry could foster this kind of attitude better roles would probably come his way. It would be extremely interesting to know what roles Gerry has auditioned for in the past, even though he’s not got them, just to see what kind of vision he has for his career.

EwwwAniston @ 12/15/2008 at 5:14 pm

Yeah Snoopy, and I bet Leonardo would not get caught dead in an Aniston film.

Hello are there any sane people out there? :)

Gerry is an amazing actor, I doubt his career will be over anytime soon, but he does need to achieve some stability in his mid-life. Just as all functional adults do. I thought he was great in Shattered and 300….that type of fearlessness in acting doesn’t come by every day. He really is a talented actor.

btw I hope he passes on working with Aniston!

EwwwAniston @ 12/15/2008 at 10:44 pm

bla85, have to agree that Mr. Butler is a gifted actor, especially in some of his older and smaller productions. Just hope the Aniston thing is only a rumor. He’s so big on denying sh*t maybe he will deny this movie.

Gerard is super sexy even in bad light and crap clothes. He’s proabaly even hot when he’s sick as hell, with crusty eyes and runny nose! I’d love to hear that accent speak my name… Have any of you seen Rock n rolla? I thought he was great in it!

Is he still dating Kristi Korzec, the girl from the arcade?

# 138 Yep. Despite what you have heard about Paris Hilton, which is totally crap, I believe he’s still seeing Kristi.(She is probably being slipped in and out of buildings by the back entrance, and meeting up with him later). Could be the real deal.

Tintangel @ 12/16/2008 at 3:16 pm

#139.I’ve heard the exact opposite. Gerry has already moved on.
And on. And on.

Col - why are you “worried” about him? You don’t know him. Don’t mean to be insulting but he’s 39. If he can’t take care of himself now, he never will. It’s obvious he is living life as he wants to - not as his fans want him to, not as his mother wants him to, not as his PR people want him to. This is who he is. Get used to it people. He’s finally being himself for you. He has always been a partier and a manho. Now people know who he is, so he doesn’t slip under the radar anymore. What you’re seeing is only a small percentage of his *cough* socializing.

Isle Lass - I’m sure he calls your name every day, only it comes out “I’d love a l’il ass.”

Shattered and 300 showed his great acting? He was campy in Shattered and was a walking boner in 300. That’s acting?

DiCaprio also goes clubbing, but he is younger than Butler and is more discreet. He’s not photographed at clubs every other night.

BTW I don’t believe he’s had a Night in Paris. Paris isn’t his type, as well all know.

I hope Liz does meet him. It will change her outlook on him.

#139 you’re full of crap…..Kristi never was. She got what she wanted……15 minutes of fame talking to the paps and her name in Star magazine.

Dear anon (#141)

Please don’t “worry” about me “worrying” about “Scotburger Braveheart”.
I’m an ex-fan (NOT in the phangurl sense mind you) who is following her principles - that if Scotburger Braveheart was ever linked to Paris Hilton or Sienna Miller…well let’s just say I’ve moved on.
The only Butler I’m a fan of is John from the John Butler Trio.

Warm Regards

Col
:o)

Why is anyone worried about him?…He’s making more money than I’ll ever get in a lifetime…partying, and carrying on…like all these celebrities, sports firgures and their big salaries…and they are talking of striking?…Maybe if they started making $12.00 an hour or less they would see what the real world is all about..especially is this economy. I enjoy his movies and that is the only thing that is a escape for me right now….even though we’re paying over $10.00 for a friggin movie…

OH PLEASE @ 12/16/2008 at 5:46 pm

I don’t think anyone believes the Paris Hilton story.

cubedweller @ 12/16/2008 at 5:56 pm

He’s not dating Paris, Kristi, or anyone else.

Gerry is secretly married to Jewel the camel. They’ve been together for quite some time, having met on-set, but keep their relationship low-key. Jewel’s family is less than thrilled at the marriage, which was an elopement, and they are concerned about the rather wide age difference. But Gerry is working hard to win them over with his considerable charm. He just recently moved Jewel and himself into a new home, one with highter ceilings and plenty of storage for hay and ladders. Jewel is rather a diva at times, so to keep her happy Gerry arranged for her to have a walk-on role in Nim’s Island. If you watch closely, or better yet, pause the DVD, you will notice the look of smoldering passion that passes between them. Yes, life is not easy for such a disparate couple. But they hope that someday they will be accepted as just that rather unusual, and hairy, couple next door.

Doncha love the way all the fans that have “moved on” from Gerry are haunting the threads of his razzi sites? Gerard James Butler, the addict and the substance.

Sooooo disappointed in this guy. He’s just like the rest of the badly behaving “stars” in Hollywood, only on the older end of it. Thank God for the Depps of the world that help to maintain some integrity and respect in actors, and I might add does a great job at keeping his life private. Probably because he actually wants to.

I know GB worries what I think, probably keeps him up at night. Regardless, it’s disappointing.

Gerard was good in “The Jury ” and even small pieces like “Please”..If you get a chance watch that…he is awesome…I even loved him in “Shooters” It seems like he had more hunger then…his acting was amazing..now…not sure..it’s as if Hollyweird got the better of him..he’s spinning these rom com’s and not getting anything of substance…and out doing the celebrity thing to get noticed….which has nothing to do with his acting…Let’s hope he gets better scripts…

pafan @ 12/15/2008 at 2:19 pm

pafan,
He’s been frequenting the same clubs that Hilton has for years. It wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve hooked up before, or possibly, been in an off again/on again relationship for years. And if he IS involved with Paris; then I can see why he would want to be discreet about who he’s dating. I bet there’s a little alert that goes through his ehad that says,: ‘DANGER! DANGER!” everytime he hits it (thats, of course, if it’s all true).
