Gerard Butler is ‘Made in L.A.’
Gerard Butler flexes his muscles in his ‘Made in L.A. Fitness” shirt while leaving new hotspot Deluxe nightclub in Hollywood on Friday morning.
The 39-year-old actor recently met up with Hollywood “It” girl, Jennifer Aniston to talk about a comedy where a bounty hunter’s next target is his ex-wife, after skipping out on bail. Andy Tennant (Hitch) will direct the film, which will start shooting in May. Andy also recently directed the Kate Hudson/Matthew McConaughey film, Fool’s Gold.

ZZZZZ -hope he doesn’t think doing an Aniston film will get him better scripts.
He is kind of cute but there is something very strange about him. I cannot figure out what it is, but something seems off with him.
1) He radiates homosexuality.

ITA with #149. Gerry’s a complete disappointment because he’s fallen into the Hollywood celebrity lifestyle. and has turned into a tabloid scumhole with a penchant for media whor*ng, clubbing and ******* around instead of working.
I’ve lost respect for him..only an imbecile is unable to keep his personal life private. He’s a joke now. It is so sad to see him flush his career down the toilet before our eyes.
It’s obvious he wanted to become a movie star and not an actual actor..it must all be driven by hunger for fame and money.

What is so special about him?This guy obviously has the weirdest fangirls behind him.They feel the need to defend him in/at any case, and put him on a pedestal all the time.
All those posts about him being a gift of God and him being a real good actor.
I have seen his movies, and sorry to say this but they are not all THAT good.And for him being the Lord’s gift to the world…oh please go back to church and learn.
I dont mind his dating habits or his life style.But I sure as hell cannot see this man becoming the next Oscar winner either.If he is such a good guy(as many claim) and if he is so extremely smart(as some claim, only because he has a degree)then why doesnt he use it for good purpose?
Why doesnt he attend a charity event or go into the spotlight helping children…So many actors out there who help those who have less.
He could join the Make A Whish foundation or go to Africa and help needy people…but nope he perfers to go out and party and be published like an ass.
There are more ways to get into the spotlight and the choice is up to the celeb itself.
But if you are not an A- lister yet then you have to realize at some point that you are making the wrong choices.
To me he comes across as an ENIGMA, like #152 mentioned , there is something odd about him.
He has potential but the way i see it, he is digging his own pit.
And no phanclub can save him from that.

#156 some of your comments are so spot on. However, you are way off on the Charity bit. Gerry has several charities that he actively and faithfully supports. For years Gerry and his fans have supported children with cancer and he is a huge eco charity guy - sorry - you got that part of your rant 100% wrong. He never seeks publicity around his charity work.
What he’s doing out in the slimy publicity world he’s slogging around in? Who the heck knows. Cry for help maybe…come and save me…I just can’t figure it.

If anything filming a movie with Aniston will gather him MORE attention in the tabliods…which, to me, would be a disaster…Jennifer was good in Friends…but her movie career hasn’t been “glowing” with great reviews…The rom com’s are fine but if you want to be taken more serious in Hollywood…getting a meatier role would do wonders…It depends if he is content with being a “celebrity” or wants to focus on becoming more of a serious actor…I imagine it can be easy to get “got up” in the parties and lifestyle that Hollywood dishes out…I think he’s even mentioned that…and I also imagine the temptations there are plentiful…He’s like a kid in a candy store…Some people can handle fame…others can’t…I still wish him well and hope that one day soon…he’ll get a role that will make some power heads turn…Not of his clubing and partying but of his acting talents…and I feel he does have it….if he focuses on that more……

Isn’t that the point of being a celebrity attached to charities…to get publicity for a cause. I know about his attendance at one charity event, a kid’s kickkin’ cancer charity about three years ago. I know about his commendable phone call to a dying child and the Live Earth appearance last year.
I know a lot of his fansites get involved in charities ‘in his name’, and the lead owner of the Shin (the restaurant he’s partial co-owner of) is donating two meals for charity, and believe me, this is all extremely commendable, but that’s not him personally.
I’m very sure he’s sincerely grateful to them for doing it in his name. It’s such a shame we don’t see HIM push for charities more…photo-opportunities, interviews, etc. Donations are so desparately needed, and he can make such a difference, and it’s the one time actively seeking publicity is beneficial….and I know, I work on a cancer ward. Seeing the stars hand out food parcels, etc, and getting physically involved in worthwhile causes inspires so many others to help. This is what I can’t understand about him. It’s a shame he isn’t seeking publicity for the right reasons? That would be good publicity. In the UK we see likes of Orlando Bloom and Halle Berry go to Africa to do TV reports for the BBC Children in Need charity. I would be nice to see him actually take a stance on something, an idea of his own. Come on Gerry, let’s see something good on Just Jared!

Right now I see a man who displays himself as a partyguy, nothinng wrong with that.But with that comes the comments and the pr is (IMO) not so good.
While I see other celebs on so many gossipsites involved in other things.Some of them spending their time doing charity.
As #161 made clear …I would have expected mr Butler to be as smart as people claim him to be and show more interest in things that matther .IMO that is not bad or show of pr , that is showing your fans and non fans that you care.
And YES i am aware of what he has done in the past…I am talking about the last 2 years , I am commenting on the last post by JJ where Butler is more and more displayed as a club hopper then a man with wisdom.A little care towards others never ruined anyones career.

The man to whom you refer had bouts with trashing hotel rooms, being arrested by the police, attacking paps, fathering two children without marrying the mother, becoming an expatriate and living in France, being so obviously “studeid” in his fashion choices (a la Annie Hall in drag)…and being the owner of a nightclub which served all sorts of illicit drugs on the floor, and from where River Phoenix overdosed in front of…Uh, what is the old adage? People in glass houses..???
While some of you say for Mr. Butler to “get a job”..how do you know what he’s doing during the day? He is a co-owner of a production company that is getting ready to shoot in Philly in January…That involves a lot of decision making, creative input, and hourly output. He’s constantly reading, revising scripts, looking over contracts, and yes, attending networking parties. In Hollywood, it is the same as everywhere: it’s who you know. He’smaking the rounds of stars, producers, writers,and others who could offer him a great role one day.
In pap pix we often see him carrying a shoulder bag with scripts, pix of him looking over scripts, or as one report said, “writing a script.” He is also an avid reader. What he does at night is not our business…we’re not invited into his heady realm of stardom. So we surmise all sorts of things without proof.
All I know is that I support him..I love to wath him in roles, and I hope he’s having fun.

He is not playing the game right and he is going to to get kicked off the team.
Gerard was good in 300…He played King Leonidas with alot of bravado..and courage..and I absolutely love the battle sequence of him fighting…My hope is that he finds that same kind of script somewhere along the way….
Gerry’s performance in 300 was fantastic - the guy was larger than life in that role. Anyone who says he doesn’t suffer for his are didn’t study what he went through to condition for that role as King Leonidas.

He went through alot..physically and mentally for that role. Took it to the extreme. The performance was awesome. I have not seen a performance of that magnitude in years. His performance is to commended and praised. When you watch 300 and his performance as King Leonidas..you DON’T see Gerry…you see the King…I love that movie and I don’t care what others say…Gerry carried that film from beginning to end. Sure they had break through graphics and art designs but he made that film what it is….
too right zzzzzz I wish Gerry and Zack would do another project. He needs a Director who ‘only has eyes for him’ like Russell & Ridley.
