Brad Pitt Talks Benjamin Button
Brad Pitt and co-star Cate Blanchett sit down for an interview to talk about his new film, Benjamin Button with Premiere.com.
Here are a few quotes:
On the film’s focus on universal moments:
Brad: It focuses on the universal moments. And they seem momunetal on the inside as far as first loves and loss, but it’s the thing that everyone experiences and carries with them.
On the goal of the film:
Brad: The goal was a new openness and honesty and taking responsibility of one’s choices and whatever fate brings you.

The one thing that should happen re Maniston and her PR tricks, is that now that the ‘dialing for a love interest at the 11th hr’ during her breakup with Mayer story is out - people need to realize that this same desperation and PR fakery has also been at play all along.
-
That if they did a timeline of Maniston and her phony bfs, from the Vaughn fakery immediately after her split (while Brad & Angelina traveled the world, adopted and got pregnant), to the Sculfor debut in May ‘07 (also known as the month of Cannes) which coincided PRECISELY with Brangelina’s AMH & O13 May Cannes triumph, to Mayer’s debut in May ‘08 which coincided with Angie’s Cannes ‘08 triumph for KFP and Changeling and which also was when news of the twins broke.
-
I mean this is no coincidence folks to suddenly have Angelina telling Cannes & the world that ‘yes, she is pregnant with twins,’ as she and Brad hit the red carpet - to the simultaneous tabloid and weekly headlines featuring Aniston and Mayer at dinners, public pools and touting marriage & baby rumors.
-
Come. On.
-
Someone needs to track all of this. It’s right there for everyone to see. Just check the monumental life/career events that Brangelina has (red carpets, premieres, babies, etc), and see what’s going on with maniston at the exact same time - I guarantee you it will be the copycat PR fabrication of a life event (marriage, baby, love, etc) which NOT coincidentally occurs at the same exact time.

Jennifer Aniston Must Never Be Single, Apparently
-
Now, OK, yes, if that’s true it does sound toe-curlingly embarrassing for Jennifer Aniston - but it happens all the time in Hollywood. Even Brad Pitt does it. Admittedly instead of getting a friend or his agent to ring round a bunch of actresses and plead with them to pretend to be his girlfriend for one night, Brad Pitt just found a stable partner to mother his children and share his life with. But, you know, it’s close enough.
-
Anyway, it doesn’t matter how true this rumour is, because Jennifer Aniston will see this story as a victory anyway. It’s accomplished her two prime directives in life - firstly it’s got her name in print again, and secondly it draws attention away from the fact that she’s made a rubbishy-looking film about a dog. Congratulations, Jennifer!

ROTFLMBAO!!!! Scccchhhhwwwweeeeeeeeetttt! Bee-yoo-tee-ful!
Ya gotta love it. It’s just too damned bad that it’s taken nearly 4 years for all of these people to call X on her BS. I especially like the fact that so many people are making fun of her doing a dog movie and carrying on like she’s made the definitive version of “Hamlet”.
Can’t you just see Rachel Green doing Hamlet?
“Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him, Ross. Er…I meant ‘Horatio. (flutter hands in front of face while blinking rapidly) I knew him Horatio, not Ross. Ha…ha…ha…ha…Silly me. (Uses both hand to cover her mouth while ducking her head - indicating extreme embarrassment at her gaff.) Horatio. Ross. Ross. Horatio. They sound sooooooo much alike. Who can keep track?” (flip hair over both shoulders, then scrunches face ever-so-cutely while shrugging)
Ahhh I am warming up to Sci Fi man. He had some nice things to say about Papa Pitt on Extra. Now if only the Sci Fi troll (fug face infamous) will see the Ghost of Christmas Past.

Geburtstag.

nside ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’
With a collaborative effort between writer, director and star, the timeless tale of love and loss hopes to be right on the “button.”
By Reed Johnson
December 17, 2008
In “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” time doesn’t just slip away. It surges like a tsunami, swamping cities and washing aside human lives like so much Mississippi Delta topsoil. It rolls backward and forward like a movie projector, un-spooling the tale of a man whose peculiar fate is to age in reverse, starting his life as a wrinkled old codger and ending it as a newborn babe.
So powerful is time’s presence in the film that it almost becomes a character, as does the sepia-toned city of New Orleans, where much of the action takes place. Thoughts about time and mortality left a deep mark on many of those connected with the project, including director David Fincher, screenwriter Eric Roth, producer Kathleen Kennedy and Brad Pitt, who stars in the title role.
Pitt, who has become deeply involved in efforts to rebuild New Orleans through a foundation he operates with producer-financier Steve Bing, calls the decision to shoot there “absolutely serendipitous. Suddenly, it just gave it a whole new gravitas. It gave it this pulse,” he says. “There’s something timeless about New Orleans to begin with. And it’s a place of mystery and magic where you could believe something like this could happen.”
In the end, “Benjamin Button” affirms that mere mortals can’t arrest time’s flow any more than they can hold back a hurricane. Yet the movie’s intricate mingling of themes of mortality and regeneration, fate and love, also suggests that it’s a minor miracle simply to be alive.
I wish we could keep the focus on Brad…That being said. Just on comment… I still find it so hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston admitted that she bought Angelina’s Vogue mag. That was a surprise. Especially since her friends came out and said that she never thinks about Brad/Angie. I know that John Mayer liked to blogs. So one would suspect that he is telling her things that are being said on line. It is just something that I found quite funny. Below is a great article about Brad that someone posted earlier. I really enjoyed reading it. He does not get the credit he deserves. Maybe this year..
Sorry I can’t find the link. I hope some else reads this and post it again. Does anyone know when the Charlie Rose interview will air? or when will they show the end of Anne Curry’s interview with Brad. Please post if you know.
warning for non-Porgie fans - he is in the second half of this vid. Brad in the first half - but its a good contrast between HOT and NOT.

59. Brad Pitt - Tyler Durden, Fight Club (1999)
“All the ways you wish you could be, that’s me…” Let’s face it - who else could have played the soap-making scourge of modern civilisation?
“My baggage worked for Fight Club,” agrees Pitt of his iconic anarchist alter-ego. “Meaning, you think you can go into the grocery store and know what aisle to go to find me. I’m perverting that expectation.”
Perverting and subverting gleefully, Pitt swings a wicked twist at his golden boy persona, spinning the wheel through charisma, mania, calmness,
violence, serious and comedy. In short? He hits us as hard as he can.
Greatest moment “Please let us have the basement! PLEASE!!” A bloodied Durden pleads with Lou.
Also see Detective David Mills (Se7en).

What do you have against Gwynnie? I don’t waste time reading about her but I do look at her pictures and I think her clothes are too short, like the dress x wore to the dog movie premiere.
Thank you. bdj for the heads up. Will watch when it comes on in my neck of the woods.

St. John’s Gives $50K to Pitt’s “Care to Learn”
Doug Pitt, founder of the organization and brother of Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, accepted the check at a press conference.
“Care to Learn” is a local organization that works with Springfield public schools to meet the needs of students. The money raised goes towards purchasing adequate clothing, food, or hygiene items for students in need.
Pitt says that community support has been overwhelming since the charity’s beginning in late March.
Pitt says the organization has raised over $300,000 to date. Starting in March 2009, he says the Pitt-Jolie Foundation will match all community donations on a four to one ratio.

I like romatic/comedy flick (don’t hate me, lol). I you’re going to remake “Sleepless in Seattle” (my fave) with BP, who is your Meg Ryan? And do you see BP as Odysseus (love this story) in Greek Myth? Thanks.
