Brad Pitt Talks Benjamin Button
Brad Pitt and co-star Cate Blanchett sit down for an interview to talk about his new film, Benjamin Button with Premiere.com.
Here are a few quotes:
On the film’s focus on universal moments:
Brad: It focuses on the universal moments. And they seem momunetal on the inside as far as first loves and loss, but it’s the thing that everyone experiences and carries with them.
On the goal of the film:
Brad: The goal was a new openness and honesty and taking responsibility of one’s choices and whatever fate brings you.

BOYCOTT PITT AND JOLIE!
I’ve heard these boycotting from the faniston fanatic at FF, they even set up a Hate Angelina blog site since year 2005. but obviously it’s not working. Brad and Angie were never gone out of work, gettin recognition for their works Angie even become the top paying actress this year.
ps-since maniston can’t have any children i guess adoption in this country is out also, lol
what exactly are they boycotting, lol, angie is the highest paid actress in hollywood and brad is one of the highest paid actors, whereas jennypoo can’t get movies greenlighted-they go straight to DVD,-confuse much, lol

ITA. Angie is the highest paid actress while Brad was one of the top 3 highest paid actors. obviously the boycotting is not wroking.
Pitt is not getting good reviews. Though it may just be because him and Jolie exposed themselves as complete liars and hypocrites.
A top critic from NY has called Brad the weak link of the film. I will post the excerpt below:
The protagonist of the leisurely romantic fable The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is born old and wrinkled and ages backward, which means we spend an hour and a half waiting eagerly for Brad Pitt to look like Brad Pitt—i.e., superhumanly pretty—and the next hour and change thinking, Is that all there is? Not much goes on in that face, and Pitt’s resemblance to Robert Redford—pouchy cheeks, quizzical half-open mouth—tends to underscore what’s absent. Redford in his prime was alert and prickly, perpetually dissatisfied, whereas Pitt exudes complacency. As Benjamin, whose heavily symbolic malady has something to do with a supernatural clock designed by a grieving father to move in reverse, he gives you no hint what his character makes of the changes. He doesn’t bring out the tension between mind and body; he just stares ahead with sad eyes and lets his makeup do the acting. Pitt isn’t bad (his noncommittal performance might even appeal to some people, who can project on him what they will), but he lets opportunities slide that other, physically inventive performers would kill for.
lol, why don’t you post a review of the dog movie, that should be good for a few laughs, lol

I would boycott Pitt and Jolie’s films. They use their kids way too much, that isn’t good. I don’t recall any actor who does this to sell movies. They have become a disgrace and freak show parading and pimping out their own children. It’s pathological and sick.

Huh? NY MAG gave CCOBB bad review? I’m shoked! And David Edelstein, apparently soo obsessed with mens looks, he also blames DiCaprio for his pretty face.
——
unlike many child actors who’ve made the successful transition to grown-up roles, DiCaprio hasn’t evolved in predictable ways—there are no clear lines of demarcation. His boys were unusually centered, his adults unusually boyish. His wide face still carries some insulating baby-fat, like Elvis Presley’s and Bill Clinton’s (before the latest weight loss), and Mendes uses that insulation against him, sometimes cruelly:

So try harder troll. I can give you 10 top critics review which raves Brad performance.

I have to agree with the review. I watched the movie (for Oscar consideration) last night and as beautiful as the film, there was a limitation to Benjamin’s character that otherwise could have been layered with multiple dimension and complexity. It is a feel good movie for sure and highly likable. This film will do well, both in theaters and DVD. Cate and Tilda’s solid performances shapes the movie also.
…`how can you respect a man who’s the bish in his relationship.
those twins are sooo cute.
Can’t wait to see this movie. Love the JPs. Love the way Brad talks quietly, no hoopla, discusses his project and that’s that. I can see that he likely has LESS drama than he once did, he doesn’t have to scream for attention (the guy just gets it anyway, no matter what he does), despite the big family and crazy life, she seems more calm now. Because because he now he has stability, lots of love to go home to at the end of the working day and he is content. Yeah he looks older, who cares, he is! Aren’t we all getting older. Sheesh that’s life and he can’t stay 25 forever even if he is Brad Pitt. And that is what the movie is saying, it relates to life and aging and love and all that stuff. Brad has matured and grown and moved on. Unlike some people he doesn’t need to scream look at me.

I think Brad is good in the movie that is why he got recognized . The movie got rave reviews from every other respectable critic . I hope that people will go see it because with this economy and that much movies comming out the same day it is hard to tell. But I know what I am going to do x mas day afternoon I will be at theaters to see Benjamin Button.
