OlderDebra Messing Does Damage
Former Will & Grace star Debra Messing stops for photographers as she attends the second season premiere of Damages at the DGA Theater in New York City on Saturday.
The 40-year-old actress spoke about the holidays, saying, “This is the time of year where families are supposed to come together, love each other and sing Kumbaya around the fire. Of course, that’s always the hope. But in reality, there’s the anxiety, a little dread, and then, you know, the drama happens!”
Debra plays the only non-Latino in her husband’s Puerto Rican family in her new film, Nothing Like the Holidays. About the experience, she said, “I’ve never played a part like this before. That was one of the things that drew me to the part. People were speaking Spanish, which I didn’t understand. They were telling jokes with references that went over my head!” The film’s opening went wide two days ago on Friday.
