Suri Cruise: Peek-A-Boo Time!

You don’t know her upbringing, #53. You’re not using common sense at all. I think she is being protected from the media glare simply because she’s not working in a media-heavy industry. She’s only ever photographed in public doing normal and mundane things. You can’t judge how someone will turn out just by looking a few seconds worth of still frames.

In a significantly large number of pictures of Suri over the past few months, she looks uncomfortable (at best) and traumatised/distressed by being constantly exposed to the paparazzi and fans. Suri hides her face or covers her ears the moment she goes outside in some of them. As i say, it is common sense that a child being subjected repeatedly to a traumatising experience as Suri obviously is will suffer as a result. There is no need for this non-stop exposure. Apart from, of course, to keep the media spotlight on Tom in the lead up to Valkyrie.

Man, that’s some gross herpes on her mouth. How did she get that? I remember when it was all over her face around the time Tom and she began the relationship. Now it’s all over the opposite side of her mouth.

Unless you mean that you think they were selfish enough to have a kid that they knew was going to be hounded no matter how ordinary her or his life would be. All TomKat ever did was take her outside in public. Do you suggest locking her up inside?

Ever considered that Cruise’s older kids simply aren’t profitable to the paparazzi? Scientology has nothing to do with anything.

How does Holmes seem to do everything Cruise tells her to do? WHAT does Cruise tell her to do?

TomKat can and will raise their kid however they feel like like. For reasons that are her own, Holmes doesn’t want to leave her kid at home. It’s her right and her business. Only critics would find something wrong in taking their kid to work.

Is that what Nicole did with Isabella and Conner for most of their childhood? Is that where all the other famous celeb’s children who aren’t appearing almost daily are? Locked up indoors? No, of course not. Which leads one to conclude that Suri is being over-exposed to the point of cruelty because Tom Cruise has deemed it to be so.

Yeah - ‘bring on Valkyrie’… so we don’t have to keep seeing the disturbing pictures of a tormented looking child being paraded to the paparazzi every day or thereabouts.

Well if you call stiff an amazing review. Or lack of confidence. Or her awkward pauses and voicing amazing. Then I guess she is getting great reviews. The people that are amazing and great in the play are Lithgow, Weist and Patrick. If Katie wasn’t Mrs. Tom Cruise she never would have gotten the part.

She is nothing like Jackie O in dress, temperment or in the protection of her children. YOU NEVER SAW Jackie O pimping her kids like this nor did you see Princess Diana doing so. And she was, when alive, the most photographed, sought after photo opportunity in the world. The only people you see pimping their kid is TomKat.

And you are delusional if you think Scientology has nothing to do with anything. Tom is their top donator. Tom is one of their most vocal proponents. You can view YouTube videos of him raving manically about this cult religion. He brags constantly about saving the NYFD firemen from 9/11 ills, he personally has saved thousands of drug addicts, etc. and ad nauseum. So if you don’t think Scientology influences the daily lives of everyone concerned with him–you are delusional.

And thirdly Katie can take her kid to work at anytime of the day or night. You are right, it is her business. BUT she knows the paps are there and to subject a child that isn’t comfortable with the flashes, noises, and crowds to this when there is no need to — in my book that makes for an abusive parent. An emotionally abusive parent. She and Tom are not taking this child’s needs into their equation. The child looks distressed and upset in many of the pictures that Jared posts. Which is why so many of us feel TomKat is pimping their kid out for publicity. Any publicity is better than no publicity in the acting world, right? Keeps Tom’s name in the news and Katie’s too. You keep asking how pimping out Suri would help the Cruises. Well, I just said it–keeps their name in the news, their picture on blogs like this (although most bloggers pass on these idiots these days).

We don’t see them practically EVERY DAY in the run up to their parents’ latest film release. We don’t see them with their faces contorted in torment or hiding their faces or covering their ears as a result of constant exposure to fans and paparazzi. THAT is why, MR. Blonde.

Mr. Blonde, you accuse others of making assumptions and judgments based on looking at a few photographs, but you do the same. How do you know the Cruises and the Holmes get along well, as you state in #76? How do you know TC celebrates Christmas? Do the Cruise-Holmes machine pay you to get on JJ and defend them? Are they that pathetic?

These parents need to shelter Suri from the trauma of running the paps and the public each day as it is obvious Suri finds the attention painful and unpleasant. Once is one thing–over and over is, at best, callous and insensitive. With their money and resources it shouldn’t be that difficult to do if they wanted. On the other hand, I see nothing wrong with many of the nitpicky things others have criticized, like painting a little girl’s fingernails, allowing diapers @ 2-1/2, security blankets, play jewelry, etc. Those things in and of itself isn’t going to turn Suri into a maladjusted child or adult. But her having to run the gauntlet of gawking photogs and fans each day when she so clearly doesn’t want to just might do it, because that indicates that the parents are thinking of their own needs and desires, not the trauma to the helpless child.
