Rachel McAdams bundles up and keeps warm with a steaming hot cup of coffee while shopping with a gal pal in London on Monday.
The 30-year-old Canadian actress has been in town to film Guy Ritchie’s detective flick, Sherlock Holmes. She plays leading lady Irene Adler, a femme fatale from New Jersey who once outwitted Sherlock (Robert Downey Jr.), earning his grudging respect. Last week, the first pictures of Rachel — in hair and make-up as her character — popped up online.
Sherlock Holmes is expected to release October 2009.

She was so lovely and looks even more beautiful in real life.
I couldnt believe it I never ever thought I would have the chance to meet my favourite actress as she lives so far away, But her dreams do come true :D

she’s always in movies with respected and better actors so therefore she gets hyped. the best film i saw her in was red eye but then im a huge Cillian Murphy fan ! if she acted with Colin Farrell i’d go see it … yeah i like irish men ! But she’s not terrible or anything better than Sienna Miller or Katie Holmes any day
Rachel looking rough as usual. Who could possibly be jealous of Rachel? Not everybody is going to like you in this world, she’s one of the most overrated actresses ever. There are far better actresses in Hollywood than Rachel puhleeze.
