Tom Cruise: I Came Across As Arrogant
Tom Cruise has publicly admitted wrong three years after his lashing out against Today show’s Matt Lauer while talking about prescription drugs. (He criticized Brooke Shields for taking anti-depressants and told Matt he was glib and didn’t know about psychiatry.)
Tom said during today’s morning segment of Today, “I thought about it a lot. It was a subject matter that was important. And now it’s being debated in the public, which it should be. But looking at it, it’s not what I had intended. It came across as arrogant. That’s one of those things I could have handled better.. It’s not the person I am… I learned a lesson. I learned a really good lesson.”

I really admire Tom for all the growing and self realization. I hope people give him a break now and go back to appreciating him for the great actor he is. Watch any Cruise movie and see for yourself.

Matt Lauer is a nothing and he threw TC under the bus in that interview about Brooke Shields. I feel bad for TC. I grew up with this guy.

My gosh, this guy is being promoted to the high heavens! I just looked at Dec. 22 People magazine, Tom on the cover, with his inside story that includes 8 - count ‘em - 8 pages of pictures of Tom and company, “My Life in Pictures,” I guess to remind us of his golden past or something. Geez, this guy is trying so hard…but I’m just turned off…actually was never fully turned on…but his antics certainly haven’t helped. Not only was I turned off by his arrogance on the subject of antidepressants, but I got waaaaaaaaaay over the Tom/Katie courtship/year of the wedding. I mean, my gosh! You would have thought Charles and Diana were marrying all over again! He needs to just settle down and work on being an actor, a good one, and quit all the hyping up to gain popularity. I think keeping his family away from photogs would go a long way. And the “holiday of the stars crap” with the Beckhams. Just….stop! It’s overkill.
