Eddie Murphy is The Riddler

Eddie Murphy will play Gotham villian The Riddler in the next Batman movie, reports The Sun.

The 47-year-old former Beverly Hills Cop was tapped by British director Christopher Nolan to reprise the role played by Jim Carrey in 1995’s Batman Forever.

The studio has also reportedly signed up Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, 22, to play Robin. Rachel Weisz is rumored to be taking up the Catwoman role.

Chris Nolan would be the one announcing it … And he has not!!! Neither has Warner Brothers.. Why ruin it for Heath Ledger.. The
Heath Ledger legacy will go on.. And that one will be the last one!

NO, he’s not got the star power. He doesn’t make me excited about the next Batman, if he really is going to be the Riddler. Shia is a good choice for Robin. But Eddie Murphey? Come on. o_O

i think eddie murphy as the riddler wont be as awkward and pyschotic as the Joker played by Heath ledger was. you cant go from an amazing actor(heath ledger) to a mediocre one to play a villian in an highly anticipated movie.

All of the casting is rumors. Christopher Nolan hasn’t signed on yet to be the director and no story or script has been done yet. Chris nolan says he wants to do another movie before he does the next batman.

If this is true, it makes sense. Maybe they are going for a lighter, more comedic touch since The Dark Knight was so…dark.
