Check out the new trailer for Obsessed, an upcoming thriller film directed by Steve Shill.
Obsessed tells the story of the successful career of asset manager Derek (Idris Elba), beautiful wife Beth (Beyonce) and their son. They are put in jeopardy when temp worker Lisa (Ali Larter) starts to stalk Derek.

You nailed it! Bee seems as though she’s trying way to hard. Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan, Kerry Washington, Gabrielle Union, would have really given the role Bee is trying to play, real depth. Although I think Bee could be decent if she took some formal acting classes because she’s so not a natural.

Ok….Beyonce actually took acting classes recently with Ivana Chubick. A world known acting coach. Beyonce Studied the role for Etta James in Cadillac records and is getting rave reviews for her interpretation in the movie. Beyonce is just expanding her acting abilites playing different roles. I didnt think she couls play this “Obssessed role” before but now I think she is doing pretty good.
Love Beyonce always the perfectionist and excellent entertainer.

Beyonce is going to get her acting Oscar one day because she’s a good actress whether a few naysayers want to admit it or not. She’s gotten recognition from both the industry and critics for being able to turn in good performances.
Beyonce is gorgeous, so I’ll go just for that reason. I see with every role she does she keeps getting better. I think that it’s out of mean-spiritedness some people want to jump all over her about her acting skills. People normally need more than 5 or 6 movies to reach their full potential. Al Pacino and Helen Mirren didn’t even win Oscars after their fifth or sixth movies. It was probably more like after their 30th or 40th. It takes time to perfect the craft of acting. If Beyonce keeps working at it, she’ll get there. I can see that she has the potential. I don’t know if Cadillac Records is coming to my town, but some critcs said she was Oscar worthy. So I see that she taking some big leaps in the acting department.
Beyonce rocks. She’s been really good in all her movies. She maybe didn’t have the best written roles. If people really look at Dreamgirls, they”ll see that the Effie character was really the flashier, grittier and bigger role.Plus, the Effie character had the big song from the play. Beyonce was good in Goldmember, they just didn’t give her enough funny lines. She did a good job of basically being a straight woman to Mike Myers. The Fighting Temptations she was sweet and likeable in that movie. In Cadillac records,she was totally awesome. Beyonce showed in that movie she has a lot of depth as an actress. This movie it seems like she’s continuing to stretch herself. I love her work ethic and dedication to everything she does. Mark my words, she’s going to be considered a great actress one day.

I would go see this if Beyonce wasn’t in it. Do not bash me, I’m only being honest not hating. Beyonce is an overall great preformer, I will not envy that as a performer myself I sometimes think of how Beyonce performes and gets her crowds excited. But I will say this Beyonce is not an actress and I wish that women who chose that career as their number 1 pritority had been given the oppurtunity to shine in their mastered field versus someone who is trying to be a monopolist of the entertainment industry. The roles that beyonce has recieved could’ve been knocked out of the park by ACTRESSES. I would hate for one woman to take over every movie while others fade into the back and have their dreams taken away. Where’s Nia Long, Vivica A. Fox, Angela Basset,Regina King,Lauren London,Thandie Newton,Zoe Saldana,Megan Good, Kimberly Elise,etc,etc. So many women have the talent and aren’t given the chance to stand out because of one, Jada and Halle hardly get as many movies as Beyonce. I just think that other actresses should be given a start in the entertaiment industry. Beyonce is a rating helper these women are award winning.
