ohh bohoo hooo You lazy ***** there was a pic of Brad on LAX airport last Wednesday and probably talking with his gorgeous baby mama on a bath tub right now. Come back again say after 50 years bwahahahahh!!

happy birthda poppa pitt!

Yes, he arrived yesterday (Weds)the pic is on TMZ’s website. Also if you havent seen this picture yet also on TMZs site titled “Angie gets railed” Nice pic, don’t read the dumb a$$ comments though of course the haters are doing what they love best and that is hating.
While Angie is busy wishing her man happy birthday all night long, the haters are busy wasting their energy hating them. Oh well, such is life if Angie and Brad did not exist what would they do with themselves?

Am I the only one, who actually seen these performances? Brad acted as if he had a two by four rammed up his ass. And I thought Angie was a decent actress until I saw Changeling.

Congrats to Brad and Angie. Happy Birthday to William Bradley Pitt.

Crazy TROLL @ 12/18/2008 at 12:12 pm

Brad arrived at L.A yesterday. idiot. He is now celebrating his birthday with his family. Now you can relax.

================================================

I am usually pretty good at figuring things out….but I cannot figure out why are you on this thread talking about people you do not care for….’Geez, leave already, we really do not care what you have to say…okay? Bye now!

Well, Kelly who do you thing should have been nominated instead of them?

Of course I don’t care about them. I don’t know them.

What I do care about is them, taking noms from other actors who are more deserving.

the dog will get a nom.

andamentothat @ 12/18/2008 at 12:18 pm

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAD..

CONGRATULATIONS JP!!

eeerrrrrrr…who is more deserving to u! the manho.

Thank you, Brad and Angie Fan! I’m kind of tickled that I share my birthday with Mr. Pitt :) Can you imagine the festivities at their home today? “Daddy’s Birthday” is a big, big deal! We just celebrated my husband’s birthday this week as well, so we are going through a festivities spree!

On Radar online Kirk Douglas says his greatest ambition is to meet Angie. I don’t know how to post links.

Kelly, did they nominate themselves? So why are you ragging on them for? Rag at the SAGs and the HFPA.

A and B Fan @ 12/18/2008 at 12:27 pm

Congratulations Angie and Brad! You deserve it . How cool to be nominated by other actors. Love It!

Happy Birthday Brad! Yayyy! Another candle on your BD cake . Another fullfilling year .. And …What A Great Year It Has Been!

Not once but twice Angie and Brad have been nominated as best actor in 2008. Wonderful!

Cassie,
Ugh, As much as much as it pains me to admit it, I though Leonardo De crapo did a outstanding job in “Revolutionary Road.” Though I don’t care for him as a actor, He did a good job. Same thing with Colin Farrell in, “n Bruges”. Last but not least Phillip Seymour Hoffman was brilliant in “Doubt”. All of them acted rings around Brad.

As for Angie, pick any actress. However, my personal favorite, Sally Hawkins- ” Happy Go Lucky”

dark angel @ 12/18/2008 at 12:29 pm

+++++++
Actually three times. CCA, GG and SAG.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but aren’t the SAG noms picked by the actors themselves, not like the Oscars noms which are picked by an Academy board? So if an actor is nominated for a SAG award by his/her peers, how does he/she rob other “more deserving” actors of the recognition?

Please don’t change the tone of the thread because of this idiot… It came on here to start a fight. Regardless of what a**holes thinks, BOTH B&A got Best Actor/Actress Golden Globes and SAG noms.

It isn’t even a surprise. We all know that the Winslets, Dicaprios, Jolies, Pitts, and Streeps were going to get nominated this year.

They totally deserve the nomination and the award! Great actors both!
May God bless them!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Running time 159 minutes
Written by Eric Roth
Directed by David Fincher
Starring Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Taraji P. Henson

They saved the best for last. Sure, the end of 2008 produced its share of animated kid stuff. Daniel Craig overcame his James Bond label long enough to prove he can still act, in Defiance (this time as a homeless Jew gamely fighting back in the German forest during World War II). They refused to show Tom Cruise as a Nazi in Valkyrie to the critics (always a bad sign). Clint Eastwood’s return to acting as a bigoted old Korean war vet who finds his heart through the Vietnamese family next door was the only memorable element in the otherwise shmaltzy, sentimental and highly preposterous Gran Torino. And the bloated, overproduced and incomprehensible remake of the sci-fi classic The Day the Earth Stood Still turned out to be a sorry mistake. But when the news is good, it’s simply great. In a year notable mostly for its profligate tossing-around of overrated bores like Happy-Go-Lucky and pretentious, open-sewer trash like Synecdoche, New York, it comes as an act of real holiday season benevolence to bestow upon us, in rapid succession, The Reader, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Revolutionary Road. Here are three sensational movies that revive my faith in America’s greatest art form.

Brad Pitt is so pretty that a lot of people forget what an accomplished actor he is. In The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, even his most ardent fans will be unprepared for the physical and emotional power of his range and versatility in the title role of this wrenching, demanding and captivating film experience. Reunited with the gifted David Fincher, who directed him in one of his best films, the dark and creepy noir thriller Se7en, Mr. Pitt tackles an F. Scott Fitzgerald story as fresh and original as it is riveting.

The point in the F. Scott Fitzgerald story and the richly textured, meticulously redacted screenplay by Eric (Forrest Gump) Roth is that everything in life and death is predetermined, and even if you turn the clock backward, you might be able to reverse the order but you can’t change the outcome. Clearly, this is a movie that must be experienced, not explained. From Broadway to Russia, beginning in the Depression and ending when Hurricane Katrina sweeps through New Orleans’ Ninth Ward, this movie is so vast and covers so much ground that any feeble attempt to tell you what happens in it only weakens the impact. It is equally challenging to adequately convey the depth and range of Brad Pitt’s performance. I’ve liked his work since the first time I saw him, in that scene-stealing cameo in Thelma and Louise. Whether it’s great works like Babel or lousy mistakes like Troy and Interview With a Vampire, he always makes bold and adventurous choices, takes admirable risks and never fails to surprise. He’s a good collaborator for director David Fincher; Se7en was only a preview of what they both can do. Brilliantly directed and acted, sumptuously photographed and endlessly fascinating, Button runs nearly three hours, and I never glanced at my watch one time. Unlike the exhausting Australia, it’s an epic that sprawls but never meanders. Through the decades, it changes gears as fast as Brad Pitt changes his appearance, each period of time like a new chapter in a novel you never want to end. Trust me. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a monumental achievement—not only one of the best films of the year, but one of the greatest films ever made.

Congrats to Mama Angie

http://www.dudleynews.co.uk/leisure/cinema/filmreviews/3982249.Changeling__15___ODEON_Merry_Hill__141_mins__Four_stars/

Check out Changeling if you have not seen it. AJ gives an amazing performance.

The constant media spotlight on Angelina Jolie’s private life means her acting talents often take a backseat – but with this stunning performance she should be making headlines for all the right
reasons.

Changeling is beautifully shot and acted by a brilliant cast who make this harrowing tale truly gripping.

Without giving too much away, Eddie Alderson gives an awesomely heart-breaking performance as a boy confessing to his part in the disappearance of missing youngsters. And Jason Butler Harner is truly chilling as his uncle Gordon Northcott who has dark secrets of his own.
In Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood, Ms Jolie puts in an Oscar-worthy performance which is moving without being melodramatic – in fact her subtlety and naturalness are her strengths in this fascinating tale based on real events.

Love you Brad. You are a fantastic actor. Congratulations to your SAG nomination and Angie’s as well. Happy Happy Birthday.

Jennifer Aniston was on Letterman last night to ***** out that doggy movie and most of the interview was a lukewarm bowl of boring. Aniston interviews should really come with a big injection of speed, because they bring the zzzzzs. The only time the **** she says is kind of interesting is when she talks about you know who. I think Letterman sort of, kind of tried to bring it up by showing Jenny the “uncool” cover. Jenny looked at the thing like it was Saint Angie’s latest ultrasound. I’ve never noticed this before, but Jenny has the laugh of a 65-year-old smoker with a guilty conscience. It’s like when someone asks me if I farted. I give one of those raspy “you so funny, but oh-so-right” laughs.
===

After the Vogue cover, Letterman moved on to her “puppy does Playboy” cover on GQ Magazine. Jenny surprised Letterman by giving him the same tie used for the cover. Yes, she just gave away the tie like that! Saint Angie would’ve blessed it by smearing her holy water saliva all over it. Then she would have auctioned it off for a million dollars and used the money to save the lives of ten thousand orphans! Or Angie would have unraveled the tie and made hundreds of mosquito nets out of it. And Aniston just gave it away like that! Pff!
====

If you care about watching this ****, click here for part 1 and here for part 2 of Jenny’s little chat with Letterman last night.
====

And below is Jenny outside of Letterman trying to find a man and some available kids. Is it just me or does her dress look like it’s tucked into her chonies?

congrats Brad and Angie. I am proud to be a fan.
It’s curious that Kirk Douglas wants to meet Angie considering that his son Michael Douglas made those nasty remark a few years back. Who could forget him saying ” Who would leave his beautiful wife to go and hold orphans ( referring to Madox and Zahara) somewhere?”. I used to admire him but lost all respect for him at that time.
First of all MD should have minded his business and concentrated on his own personal life where it was widely known that he cheated on his wife multiple times. I don’t like hypocrytical people. His father, Kirk seems to be a decent person though.

Whoever said Brad should have been noticed for his acting eons ago must be on crack. The reason he’s being noticed now is because of the fact that he’s improved on his acting. He’s taken on roles with the “big dogs” now. Brad eons ago was very very mediocre.

Ashley Banks @ 12/18/2008 at 1:19 pm

He’s still mediocre. One review says a different actor would have done more with the role but Brad is decent enough.

@huh you’re dumb.

Brad would have never gotten an Oscar in his 20s or 30s. He wasn’t that great then. He’s better than George Clooney yet George had to politic his a-ss to get one. Brad is better than that. The time for Brad to get one will come…

Personally, I want Leo to win but if Brad wins…I wouldn’t mind either.

Halo @ 12/18/2008 at 1:12 pm
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No his acting wasn’t mediocre. It was good and now is getting better like most actors who start out. And for that matter like anyone else. Including Angie. This was the reason why they were noticed in the first place. Both Brad and Angelina usually overshadow people in movies. Even the so called good ones. If you watch a movie and the only person you can remember in the movie is Brad or Angelina, then that is a testament to their acting chops and their presence. Without this you don’t have a chance of being recognized. I don’t care how beautiful you are.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BESANE!
Wishing you many happy returns of this lovely day!! :)
Congratulation to Mr. and Mrs. Jolie-Pitt, great news, now we have 3 RC events to look forward to next year. Happy Birthday to Besane and to Mr. Pitt.
Isn’t this the best gift for Birthday boy Brad? Congrats to Brad and Angie.They deserve the nominations specially Brad.
Of course Brad could have gotten recognized in his 30s for his acting. The man had great turns in Fight Club, Seven, Snatch. If he were anyone else the Academy would have been tripping over themselves to nominate him.
Leo
His acting was mediocre. He was nothing but eye candy. Leo has accomplished what Brad couldn’t do in his early 30s and they’re both the same type of actors who had to fight through “eye candy” stigma to be taken seriously. The only difference is Leo can act better. No matter how big or horrible the film is…no one can take Leo’s place in the film. Though with Brad, he was films that any other actor could have done.
Your opinion is your opinion and of course my opinion is mine.
Halo @ 12/18/2008 at 1:22 pm
Leo’s acting was and is mediocre. He is overrated.
Lainey was very lame towards the JPs, when she commented on their SAG awards, as she seems to be lately. I wonder who/what got up her azz…
She needs to lay off the Pitts. Sounds very jealous of Angie and Brad. It’ s so true, a lot of insecure women are jealous of Ange.
Congrats Brad and Ange, go JPs…
LEO @ 12/18/2008 at 1:29 pm
Of course Brad could have gotten recognized in his 30s for his acting. The man had great turns in Fight Club, Seven, Snatch. If he were anyone else the Academy would have been tripping over themselves to nominate him.
===========
So true.
BTW, Leo D looks like 55 years old, he is fugly and fat. :lol:
People keep mentioning Fight Club and Seven as if Brad’s roles in those movies were the best acting they’ve ever seen… I don’t understand that.
Brad was better in “Jesse James” and Interview with the Vampire. Fight Club is just one of those movies people hated when it came out but the cult fanatics made people like the film better over the years. In the film industry, it doesn’t work that way. You don’t get nominated for an Oscar for a film people hated years ago. Brad is better now. He wasn’t great then.
I’ve seen them give nominations and awards to people who have one tenth the screen presence as Brad or Angie. And some of those people have disappeared, nowhere to be seen. Their promise evaporated faster than their careers. So you can shut the fcuk up about Brad and Angie being nominated because of popularity. If that was the case then Angie would have been nominated last year for AMH and Brad for Babel. Instead we had the popular Cate who got a lead nom for that terrible Elizabeth movie and George Clooney getting his for playing himself in Michael Clayton.
I am so glad Cate Blanchett didn’t get nods for GG and SAG.
GREAT NEWS…..FOR BRAD AND ANGELINA….HEY …JEN WHO?
HEY, JEN CHIN……HOW YOU LIKE THEM NOW…..OLD WOMAN…
UGLY OLD WOMAN….DESPERATE OLD WOMAN….WANABE BE
BITTER OLD WOMAN….YOU LOOK YOUR AGE JEN…NOW START
ACTING LIKE IT……YOUR FINISH….CHIN JEN..AND YOUR GOING
DOWN AS A LOSER…..LOSER….LOSER….LOSER…LOSER AZZHO
Who cares if Leo is ugly and fat? the man can act. You’re just an obsessive Brad fan that can’t understand some people are actually better than Brad Pitt.
Leo is overrated? Brad wishes he can act the way Leo did in the Aviator or Blood Diamond. At least when Leo is nominated, he’s nominated in a tough year. Unlike Brad, who was nominated to be a filler spot for 12 Monkeys where you knew he wasn’t going to win.
This year Brad deserves his nomination. He’s better. Stop trying to act as if he was Oscar worthy 20 years ago. Accept that he’s better now.
To the idiot Halo, Brad got Oscar nod for 12 Monkey at his 30s. Duh.
I don’t know why you’re talking about Leo D, I don’t have a problem with him as an actor. I think he’s fine. And since I haven’t seen Revolutionary Road, I can’t comment on whether or not he’s good in it. And no anyone could not have played Tyler in fight club but Brad, that was all his. Same for Snatch.
You’re the idiot because I wrote that before you DUUUUUUUH.
pics of brad arriving back in L.A.
sorry, Halo, Leo can’t act. He is overrated. Brad Pitt is better than Leo. This is the fact. Why don’t you go to Leo’s thread?
it a birthday @ 12/18/2008 at 1:47 pm
please let her believe what she wants.lets celebrate and not spoil the thread.
Congratulations to Leo D for NOT getting SAG nod. LMAO.
Well same goes for Leo D then, he could not have played Tyler in Fight club, or Mickey in Snatch. His boyish look would have worked against him in. This is why you can’t compare acting by having actors switch roles. Because each script attempts to sculpt the character to each actor. In order to compare actors, you have to decide how well the actor plays the character in the movie. How he interacts with the other actors in the story. So again saying that Brad was mediocre is foolishness. Brad was good and he is getting better.
Brad is only better than Leo in terms of the 6 pack abs and the ability to quit smoking.
In terms of acting…yah right. Brad was all monotone in his younger years.
I don’t care for them. They come off as fake. Sorry, but I am not pray at the altar of Brad and Angelina. You all have fun.
Halo @ 12/18/2008 at 1:49 pm
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Don’t you mean that Brad’s six pack abs can out act Leo D any day of the week. That’s what you’re saying right–Ok, thought so.

Huh #18- agree about Leo, although i think he’s a couple steps up fr “mediocre”- he’s pretty, but sean, mickey, brad (not too sure about frank- haven’t seen much of his stuff) are riveting to watch on screen- about the birthday boy i think jesse james was his best work to date (looking forward to CCOBB!!), but he’s had so many fabulous dramatic performances & he did such a fun turn in Burn After Reading, too- great year for Brad & Angie- Changeling was sooo good & she was AMAZING in it- the news about Adam Walsh made me think of Christine Collins & sweet little Walter- John Walsh is like Christine- they made a diff for others even after suffering unimaginable horror

huh, I agree with you, I don’t think Leo is a good actor. He was a eye candy. Now he looks like a ****.

We can throw stones, complain about them, stumble on them, climb over them, or build with them.

Congratulations to Brad and Angie for receiving yet more recognization for their work. This time it’s from their peers, which makes it even more special, I think.

I thought Brad was wonderful in Se7en but that’s the only “early Brad” movie I’ve seen besides “Thelma & Louise” and you can’t really count that as acting. I did see “Babel” on cable the other day and thought Brad was incredible!! He really should have gotten a nomination for that movie. I’m looking forward to seeing “Benjamin Button” because it looks like a great job of acting on his part. My brother insists that I watch the “Jesse James” movie. He said it’s the best movie he has ever seen. He had no idea who Brad Pitt was, he just liked westerns, so when he was telling me about this great movie he had just seen, he said “It stars that young guy, you know, that one they always talk about because he’s sexy or something.” I laughed and said “Brad Pitt”? He goes, “Yeah, that guy can really act.” I laughed so hard. It was really funny the way my brother said that. He could care less about Hollywood gossip, he just loved that movie. It was on cable early this morning and I plan to watch it during the holidays.

As for Angelina . . . I saw “Changling” a few weeks ago on my birthday (it was a gift from my sister) and I still can’t get it out of my head. It is a truly great movie, well acted by all, even the children. Angelina was amazing and I would have been sorely disappointed if she had not received recognition for it. I don’t buy movies too often but “Changling” is on my list to buy the minute it is released.

Jared needs to keep the trolls in check. This is a SAG nomination thread.

Who cares what I think? the people that responded to me…duuuh.

And that means beating up on Angelina. These gossips are like lemmings as soon as one decides to change their tune the others follow. Every time Angelina is singled out during awards season they decide its time to beat up on her. It has happened two years in a row now. Every time there is some no name reporter who comes out of nowhere to write some made up diatribe disparaging her and her family. Some of it racist and xenophobic. Don’t be surprised you guys it just the way the cookie crumbles. I’m sure AJ will deal with it as she always does with grace, humility and silence.

CONGRATULATIONS BRAD AND ANGIE. :) :) :)

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAD.

i luv u brad =]

team jolie…congrats they rock

I am so excited for both of them!!! What a great year! and to top that off, it’s been a delicious end to 2008 with all the deserved accolades going to them while X is biting her nails thinking of something shocking to do to get ink coverage (sorry, couldn’t help that last bit!)

Happy birthday, Brad. Loooooove you and your beautiful family!

All you people care about is seeing them on the red carpet. You probably haven’t even seen any other performances this year, yet you think Angelina Jolie is deserving of an oscar, when in fact, she’s not.

Crazy Troll…shut up.

Jared can switch the names due to IP addresses if I’m Ashley Banks, idiot.

it a birthday @ 12/18/2008 at 2:39 pm

congrats Angelina deserves everything coming to her.ITS GOOD TO SEE ACTORS APPRECIATING HER TALENT.

SAG a body of actors know a good performance when they see one.Happy for Brad and Angelina.

P.S. who the hell is mad at Brad for being with Angie? more power to him. I would be with Angie if I had the chance myself. Brad doesn’t match with Jenn. Her accomplishments for perfect tanning doesn’t compare to Angelina’s…

You’re just like your name…a crazy troll.

The kill joys can b*tch all they want, but it wont change a darn thing. Suck it up losers. Brad and Angie both got nominated for SAG & Golden Globes and NO frigging whining on blogs is gonna change that.

uuum i watched Changeling..Angelina was amazing…amazing ..as a mother I know it hit home and for her being a mom too, protraying that despair then tenacity mustve hit home too.. I havent seen Doubt nor have I seen Rachel getting married so cant say if they deserve an Oscar!

CCA,GG,SAG all loving B +A.Big Big year for Brad and Angelina.

Crazy Troll @ 12/18/2008 at 2:47 pm

ROTFLMAO. Believe me . among all these nomination. The only person who got her nod without any help , just because of her acting and talent is Angelina Jolie.

.

She doesn’t have any agent to camp for her to get nominated. Try to watch her movies without the hate you have in your heart , Regina/Helena. Then maybe you will understand she deserves nomination , just like last year when they snubbed her and got Cate Blanchett when she obviously didn’t deserve it as much as Angelina for AMH. Try to watch movies without having pre opinion about it.

.

ROTFLMAO :lol: at Halo. bite me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAD

I KNEW YOU WILL FLY BACK TO BE WITH YOUR FAMILY

Blessings @ 12/18/2008 at 2:56 pm

LOL to think x and her pr worked hard to spoil Angelina’s chances to be nominated.They bought writers and fake hag critics who run around the blogs.I hope X got the message loud and clear from the Actors.X you are not powerful in Hollywood.

Hiya Neleh, Happy Holidays to you! thanks for the video link.

Make it Right @ 12/18/2008 at 3:52 pm

Make It Right Welcomes Residents Back Home for the Holidays

Dear Make It Right Community,

This holiday season we are celebrating the return of families into new Make It Right homes in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans.

In honor of those families and the many supporters who helped us reach this milestone, we want to say thank you on behalf of the Make It Right community. You have helped make this a very special holiday season for families who lost so much during Hurricane Katrina.
For former residents of the Lower 9th Ward still trying to return home, this is why Make It Right exists. More than three years after Hurricane Katrina, many residents of this community are still displaced and struggling to rebuild their lives. We started the Make It Right Foundation to provide a hand up to those families who desire to return home and to help preserve the unique culture, heritage and spirit of the Lower 9th Ward.

With your generous support, we can continue to rebuild a neighborhood of safe, sustainable, and affordable homes in one of the hardest hit communities in Louisiana.

Thank You and Happy Holidays,
Tom Darden
Executive Director

Can’t wait to see the film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The trailor scenes are amazing. Love the epic films so waiting for New Years to see the much talked oscar contender.
Now wouldn’t that be something? We will have to wait and see but am really excited about Button coming out during the holidays for now.

~~NEW THREAD~~

New Brad Pitt Thread!

What a banner year for BrAngie!

Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice and now SAG award noms…
Congratulations - very well-deserved.

Congratulations!!!!

We are great!

not convincing in the changeling

That’s awesome. Congrats to both of them. This is the year for them to shine more. God bless them. Happy birthday Brad.

Congrats to Brad and Angie, and happy birthday to Brad. Can’t beat a SAG nomination for a birthday present. :)

Right on! How fun is that?

Hee-hee Rachel Green #25. Looks like the SAG didn’t buy your load of b.s. about this doggie film being such a moving human story. Next time you might want to rethink posing nude - that is if legitimate acting (and awards) is what you’re after.

Senior Please give my hugs & kisses to Jarrod. Belated Happy Birthday to him. Did you cook something for him or you all eat out to celebrate?
I completely forgotten about his birthday. Been so busy after coming home from Germany, now I am back to work , tired all the time.
Also Happy Birthday to Brad. I’m glad he is back home with his family. We miss Angie & the kids. The twins are now 5 months, hope they will have another family photo from People Magazine for the Holidays.
God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

Watching Jax. Jaguars against Colts, they are playing here. The score right now Colts 0 Jaguars 7. BBL. Need to watch football. Peace & blessings.

Hope they both win.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

I HOPE BRAD or ANGIE WIN, OR BOTH OF THEM.

THIS is the one I think has to be the most satisfying for Brad and Angie. The SAGS are the least political with out any snobbery. THEIR community is telling them, “Well done! The both of you!”

I completely agree. Though it’s not that old an award, there has always been this sense that this is the award that actors are most proud of receiving.

Congrats Brad & Angie. I loved Angie in the Mighty Heart. She was robbed last year. Brad is a great character actor. I will spend my money on Benjamin Button.

What no Sag nods for of Douche’s fake gf and Tom-Kat-liter? Hell to the NO!

Congratulations to Brad and Angie for the SAG nominations. Can’t wait for the red carpet photos. Thanks JJ.

Regarding Ben Affleck’s comment that AJ is not high profile enough as UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, some people were saying that it was said in jest. Whether his comment was just a joke or not, It is still not proper as the subject matter (helping refugees etc) is a SERIOUS thing. It is not something to make silly remarks. There is always a PROPER TIME FOR EVERYTHING.
He can help in his capacity WITHOUT THE NEED TO UNDERMINE THE EFFORTS,TIME, MONEY spent by other people specifically Angelina Jolie. If he really wanted to help, fine, good for him and for the unfortunate ones but he SHOULD LEARN WHEN TO SHUT HIS MOUTH. What a way to draw attention to himself but to use Ms. Jolie who I have high regard & respect for the things she has done in her own capacity for the past years up to the present.
SHOWING KINDNESS FOR OTHERS is always good but TO CRITICIZE the kindness of others is JEALOUSY & JUDGMENTAL.

CONGRATULATIONS

I NEVER GET TIRED OF SAYING IT

yay congratulations to Kate for another two nominees!!!!!
ooooscar this year!!!!! fingers crossed ^__^

I think Ben Affleck was just joking but it’s VERY INAPPROPRIATE and in A BAD TASTE! Besides, nobody is laughing!!!

IMO, humanitarian work must never to be joked about. Never make fun of it. People who do charity work is always a big deal to them as they have witnessed the hardships that the refugees go through. People like Angelina Jolie really go out of her way using time, financial resources and influence/ celebrity to lobby for her causes. We NEVER hear Angie joked about her humanitarian work because she wants TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY as this involves HUMAN LIFE and apparently that is NOT A FUN MATTER. Ben affleck must learn a thing or two from Angie in dealing with this kind of things. Angie studied this (international law) in order not just to be emotional about it and she also knew a great deal of diplomacy. That’s why it’s no wonder Angie continuouly earn the respect of people from all walks of life because they can see how serious she is in her causes (which obviously Ben Affleck lacks!).

It’s only getting better and better for both of them. Thanks JJ and blessings to all JP fans.

Rootingforjen @ 12/25/2008 at 3:01 pm

The buzz is that they were both nominated but will not win. It’s a ratings ploy. GG did it as well. If these two disloyals (not royality puhlezz) of Hollywood are nominated they will show up. Due to the trainwreck factor, people will turn in to see just how odd they will behave. Ratings will be high; a more deserving actor receives the award. It’s a win-win for the SAG and GG producers and supporters.

Congratulations!!!!
