An Arkansas woman has given birth to her 18th child.

Michelle Duggar delivered the baby girl by Caesarean section Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. The baby, named Jordyn-Grace Makiya Duggar, weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.

“The ultimate Christmas gift from God,” said Jim Bob Duggar, the father of the 18 children. “She’s just absolutely beautiful, like her mom and her sisters.”

Jim Bob Duggar said Michelle started having contractions Wednesday night. She needed the C-section, her third, because the baby was lying sideways. Jim Bob said both baby and mother were doing well Thursday night.

The cable network TLC broadcasts a weekly show about the Duggars called “17 Kids and Counting.” Chris Finnegan of TLC — which handles public relations for the Duggar family — said the show’s name would be updated to account for the latest addition to the family. He said TLC also will air a show Monday on the baby’s delivery.

Changeling kicking butts in Spain. 49 territories to go. Worldwide total close to 62 million.

Universal’s Changeling grossed $3m from 931 sites in ten territories through UPI for an early $26.5m international running total. The drama opened top in Spain on $2m from 326 dates for the biggest opening weekend for a Clint Eastwood film. Changeling added $360,000 from 302 after a 37% fall in the fourth weekend for $6.1m. There are 49 territories to go over the next four months, including the next major territories Germany and South Korea on January 22.

Whoa. That’s a lot of kids. More power to them.. The Jolie-Pitts open their homes and hearts to children living in dire circumstances and get crucified. BP and AJ have the means and love to have naturally and adopt as many kids as they want. Hens don’t like it because it shows the love and commitment BP and AJ have. They are still waiting on Papa Pitt to come to his senses and run back to Whiny. Meanwhile, Whiny X is on her booty call tour wearing her fashionable scarf. Nothing says love, like a well dressed cougar on display. My bad!!!!

Brian Helgeland isn’t the kind of screenwriter most moviegoers know by name– but then again, how many screenwriters can anyone really name? But even if he flies under the radar, he’s one of the bigger ones out there, having won an Oscar for writing L.A. Confidential as well as writing the words of Mystic River, A Knight’s Tale and Conspiracy Theory.

Now he’s bringing his expertise to Salt, that spy project that was once about a man named Edwin Salt played by Tom Cruise, and now is Angelina Jolie playing Evelyn Salt. Moviehole says Sony has hired Helgeland to give the Salt script a pass, specifically to improve on the dialogue. Apparently Sony has a lot riding on Salt as a potential franchise-starter, getting Jolie away from “serious movie” mode and more into the ass-kicking role that made her famous.

The Moviehole guys point to L.A. Confidential’s script as an example of Helgeland’s skill with dialogue, and I couldn’t agree more. You know, on the Q.T. and very hush-hush. His participation in the project indicates how serious Sony is about it, and might mean there will be spy not named Jason Bourne or James Bond for the world to care about.

Did E! Entertainment send an apology to the JPs for trespassing on their Los Feliz property with a $250,000 donation to the Jolie Pitt Foundation in 2007? Looks like maybe they did.

Where’d you get that info? If they did send a “donation” more than likely it was an out-of-court settlement.

Their foundation lists it as a 2007 contribution. No law suit was ever filed. My guess is it was a “make nice” gesture that the JPs accepted.
