OlderGwyneth Paltrow: Tod’s G-Bag Hits The Spot
Gwyneth Paltrow poses pretty with the bag of the season, Tod’s G-Bag, for the Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign.
Mikael Jansson, who shot the campaign at a restaurant in the heart of London’s financial district, said, “[I chose the space] because it complemented the elements associated with Tod’s – the luxury, the honey and caramel palette, the sophistication…”
Edward Enninful, who styled the campaign, added, ”We’re showing a bit more leg, the shirts are open a little lower…I think you see a slightly new side to both Gwyneth and Tod’s.”
For Derek Lam, Creative Director for Tod’s, “Gwyneth effortlessly embodies the spirit of the International woman with timeless elegance and modern flair - the perfect representation of the Tod’s woman”.
The new Tod’s ad Campaign will be featured in ads worldwide starting February 2009.

I love Tod’s but I don’t understand they use Sienna and Gwyneth for their campaigns. Both are so plain.

I prefer the Tod’s advertisements to Estee Lauder but agree, they are going a bit heavy on the photo shop. Her eyes look bigger, lips fuller and it appears some of the fat has been sucked out of her cheeks. It’s like they resculpted her face.

she looks amazing. this is the best one so far in Tod’s campaign.
She hasn’t been elongated; she is naturally tall. Being tall sometimes comes with having a long torso and long legs.
She doesn’t look like she needs a bath; it’s called makeup and touchup, possibly even a sun tanner.

I’m not a Sienna Miller fan but even her ads were better than these. I like Tod’s but they always make Gwyneth look odd.

She shouldn’t have to apologize to PETA for anything. She has a job, and if Her job entitles her to wear or touch fur, then so be it. It’s a job!!!!! Sometimes you do not have a choice at your job–you have to do what the boss says. That goes for most of the world, including celebs. PETA should hush up!
The term job applies very loosely here. Paltrow doesn’t need to endorse Tod’s to make a living. She does it because they pay her huge amounts of money that enable her to live a luxury lifestyle. You cannot compare what she does to the average person making a living who has to work to pay their bills and who must put up with their employer’s decisions. She has a choice on whether to work for Tod’s. As annoying as PETA may be, they do have a point and they’re entitled to the same freedom of speech as everyone else.
Maybe so, Mike. But at the same time, she is a human, and whether or not she needs the money, it’s still a job. Even people with tons of money work to keep themselves sane. At least she isn’t a lazy a** like Paris Hilton who just socialites around acting like the princess she is. And Gwyneth does contribute her money to donations and charites; ie. Robin Hood Foundation to which she is a board member, and also Food Bank of New York. She is also an advocate to Breast Cancer and Planned Parenthood with her mother Blythe. So she doesn’t just live a luxary lifestyle like someone of Paris Hilton’s clan; Gwyneth works and also puts her money to good use.

I’m not sure if this is a good or bad photoshop. It doesn’t really resemble the Gwyneth of her candids. Maybe that’s intentional and a good thing. Not sure.
i did the retouching, and i barely touched her face(smooth the wrinkles a bit), she does look different but it’s just the angle and expression.
