I also aready said that Jennifer is human being just like we are, and she knows very well that there was no love between her and Brad, I am saying that because I read comments that both she and Pitt gave during 2003 and 2004, they were always apart, even for 6 months while he was filming Troy she visited him only once, he said that he doesn’t believe that marriage means being with same person until death, and she said that she thinks that Brad is not love of her life, she even forget to thank him when she got GG or Emmy or something like that! Come on, you never forget to thank a person you love! I really didn’t have an opinion about her, good or bad, I just wasn’t interested in her because I never watched Friends, not my kind of show, until 2005 and that Vanity Fair article, than I realised what kind of bitter woman she really is! Brad was filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith until April 2005, even director Liman said that he had to make some changes in the script and film some scenes again! And when I hear that she said recently that she didn’t know that there Brad liked Angelina is so bitter and desperate of Aniston, because her friend Courtney Cox said in VF 2005 that there was no sexual affair between Brad and Angelina but that he liked her and that he was HONEST to Aniston about that! and BTW, I consider Brad and Angelina married because in Canada, two consecutive years of living common law with another person, affords the couple the same benefits upon break- up as marriage would. So we refer to couples as ‘common law’ husband and wife or the unit as a common law marriage.

Simply put…..in Canada they would be considered’ married’ under the law and if they split the legal and financial protections for marriage partners would apply.

So here, Angie would be his ‘common law wife’ and he her ‘common law husband.’ That is the legal world. The religious is something other…..but same legal rights apply whether you walk the aisle or not.

So, I have always seen them as ‘married’ anyway.

No. They begun shooting the movie January 2004. A whole year before he and Aniston separated. I believe there was some re-shoot after the separation (not the divorce). But rumors (lots of them as i remember) of them “getting really friendly” begun early in 2004. Yet, some people are still naive enough to belive that their thing started in 2005, at he re-shooting. Riiiight…
Also, i believe B&A can say whatever they feel like saying. But if you’re gonna make unnecessary, tacky comments like that, you gotta take the consequences. Jennifer had all the right to comment on it, as it concerned her. And i say well done!

This is an assumption. But let’s say it’s true. How is Aniston the bad guy in this. You said all the right words. A relationship, especially a marriage, ocasionally falls into a boring routine. Why is it her fault that he “checked out of his emotionally” and fell in love with someone else? It happens. Aniston was not the villain, as you portray her. In fact, if i remember correctly, even Brad’s mom (one of his “*******”, as he said himself) was mad at him at the time. Why would she if Aniston was such a “bad wife”?

Laura2 and Ellie, first of all, this is public blog, and we all have a right to give our opinion, I am not mentioning all tabloid crap written about Aniston, Pitt or Jolie, I am giving a comment about their intervews that we usually can read here on JJ! So I don’t see why, Ellie, I can’t comment that?
First of all, I have nothing against Aniston saying the “uncool” comment, honestly, I think that that comment made more damage to Aniston than to Jolie. Why? Because she looked bitter and desperate, people saw that she needs to speak about Jolie years after her separation from Brad, she showed to us that she reads Jolie interviews and she thinks about her (so no Ellie, I don’t think that Aniston is threat to Jolie in any way)! And also, I am sorry to say that, I didn’t want to comment Aniston face, but that Vogue cover was bad for her! Her face was strange, she looked sad and that pose made her look ugly, I don’t know, that was not good position, it would be much better that Vogue put on the cover picture where she is smiling, and of course that Vogue put that “uncool” comment on the cover - they have to sell magazine! What I didn’t like is that Aniston, again, said that she didn’t expect that from Vogue?!?! How long is she in this bussiness? Of course that she knew that very well! I just don’t like her because she put the blame on someone else just like she did in 2005 saying that she didn’t expect that Vanity Fair will write in the article that she cried! Again, Aniston is not honest at all! I didn’t like her comment about Jolie - Pitt children because I think that wasn’t classy or tasteful at all, and again she looked desperate because again she had the need to speak about them! Also, she obviously knows that Marley & Me has bad reviews and she is trying to be in the spotlight by bringing the name of Brad and Angelina in her interview because she knows that that will make headlines (just like Roseanne, sad right?) Also, I don’t believe in this story that Brad had an affair with Jolie before he left Aniston. Why? Courtney Cox - she said that Brad had an attraction for Jolie but no physical affair - now, why would Cox said that if that wasn’t truth? She is Aniston’s friend and not Brad’s! And also, because of Jolie! Angelina was always honest to her fans! When she was 20 she made stupid decisions, she tried drugs - and she was honest about that! She was honest when she said that she was very dark in her early 20 and that she was experimenting with lots of things! I respect that! I am not saying that drugs are ok but I respect that she was honest about that and that she said that that was wrong and that now she is healthy and happy with her life! So yes, I do believe to Jolie when she said that she fell in love with Brad and that they started relationship after he left Aniston! She was a free woman, and she had all the right to fell in love! Also, Brad, I aready said that, because of his comments in 2003 and 2004 I do believe that that marriage was over (like almost every other in HW) before he even met Jolie! Brad and Aniston had different goals in life, he always said that his whish is 7 children, she only said that she wants first to have her movie career because she didn’t wanted to rememberd as Rachel from Friends, and than later she wanted family! I can not judge Brad because he fell in love with Jolie just because he was in marriage without love and happiness! I already said that every relationship needs two person, Brad and Jen are 50:50 guilty for divorce, you can not steal a person. The end!

I bet even his nephews have seen Angelina more than Jennifer and that she is perceived more as an aunt that Jennifer could ever become ! I never heard Aniston referring to Brad’s parents as Papa and grand ma, NEVER !!! Everyone is doing great..The one thing I love the best is to volunteer all year round for the elderly and children to make sure they have food and are clean, thats what makes me happy!

I agree with you. This chick don’t feel good about herself right now, any one that has to pour that much money into beauty treatments has a problem of some kind. To hang up with someone that dump her like yesterday in front of paps for all the media to see and pick at her sure don’t feel good about her self….but four years after her divorce she still ride Brad and Angie’s back is experiencing some real mental break down.
Jen’s pr team think they fixed the image of the very public dumping Jen received from John but they didn’t. Any real strong lady would have told Mayer to kiss her ass. I agree with you. This chick don’t feel good about herself right now, any one that has to pour that much money into beauty treatments has a problem of some kind. Why Egyptian? Just curious thats a place I’ve always want to go. Till this day they still can’t figure out how they built the pyramids. I really like history I read a lot of it . I find it real interesting.

SHE-MAN should thank brad for getting her a movie career. before brad, SHE-MAN didn’t have a movie career. the only movie she did was “leprechuan” and that bomb. the box office hits she was in got vince, ben, and jim. therefore, she couldn’t carry any hit movie on her own like angie did. she should be grateful of her association with brad and thank him for her not so great movie career.

Back in the day… way before Jennifer started strolling around with the body and outfit’s of a 22 year old, before she got implants and obviously, pre “Brangelina” poor ‘ol Jen wasn’t quite the sex bomb she is today-( well with a paper bag over her head, at least.) However, she did not notice this (BRAD DID!!), and she thought that by surprising Brad, by spontaneously hiding in different locations of their shared house, and then pouncing on him wearing nothing but one of his stolen neck ties it would turn him on. Jennifer, years later and still thinking that this meant something to Brad, like a little special inside thing between the two of them, she came up with the concept for the infamous magazine cover, and bared her new and improved self in a way that she new Brad would see it. Of course, wearing nothing but his neck tie that she kept. This was a bold declaration and statement, in Jennifer’s eyes that their oh so Hollywood battle, hasn’t finished. It has only just begun.

Making a movie out of one person’s memoirs is hard enough. You’ve got to capture the person’s writing voice, which usually is what makes the book worth reading to begin with, and you have to condense the manifold events of a life into a two-hour running time with some semblance of narrative drive. But when that memoir is something as slim as Marley and Me, John Grogan’s account of 12 years or so spent in the company of a rambunctious lab, the challenges are pretty much impossible to overcome.

For despite the cinematic gloss given by Devil Wears Prada director David Frankel, the alluring star power of Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston in the lead roles, and the many trailer-ready moments of puppy humor, Marley & Me is a movie in which nothing really happens. Grogan’s memoir was based on columns he wrote about family life for The Florida Sun-Sentinel, which recounted the mundane events of life skewed by their ownership of a loony yellow lab, Marley. But while snuggling up to one family’s life story in a weekly column, or even in a short book, might feel satisfying, as a movie it becomes a drag. Dog lovers will enjoy watching the two dozen pups who played Marley, but even they may find themselves bored by the entirely mundane Grogan family.

The story starts when John (Wilson) and Jenny (Aniston) relocate to South Florida from Michigan and decide to adopt a dog rather than having kids right away, given their busy jobs at daily newspapers. But instead of a peaceful pet they end up with Marley, a dog who will eat anything, cries nonstop during thunderstorms, and grows into a giant lab who yanks the both of them along on the leash. John’s friend Sebastian (Eric Dane) uses Marley as a chick magnet, while John and Jen suffer through failed obedience lessons, endless shredded sofas, and a long series of public misadventures that begin with the dog hightailing away from his owners.

After a while Marley becomes background decoration as John and Jen struggle to conceive a baby, successfully have a baby or three, move to Boca Raton, debate their career goals, squabble a bit, move to Pennsylvania, squabble a bit more. And while it’s refreshing to see a bit of reality sneak into the story, especially when Jen gets frustrated after leaving her job to raise the kids, there’s a reason movies don’t usually detail the lives of regular people. Even the little bit of plot that comes from John’s constant uncertainty about his career doesn’t get properly fleshed out, and instead we get scene after scene of happy family, frustrated family, swimming family, football-playing family, with Marley always romping around in the background.

There’s something comforting about this kind of moviegoing experience, spending a little while with a photogenic, utterly boring family. And the movie works pretty well in its individual moments, especially the more emotional ones that feature the dog at the focus. Grogan clearly understands, as do screenwriters Scott Frank and Don Roos, the amazing power a dog has to absorb and reflect human emotions. When Marley sits with Jen as she cries after a miscarriage, or ruminates next to John as they sit on the beach, the movie taps into the universal feelings of love a dog can evoke, and manages to reach beyond its mundane story to have something to say.

Which is to say, Marley & Me will find plenty of fans, particularly those looking to evoke their own fond dog memories and spend some hours being moderately entertained. Marley & Me is about as good a movie as it ever could have hoped to be, being adapted from book that probably had no business being a movie to begin with. Its small moments of insight don’t make up for the overall lack of drama or narrative, but they will evoke all the proper emotions out of an audience with tissues at the ready. The movie hasn’t done much to improve on the book, except for maybe adding some photogenic actors; but for a Christmas Day outing full of family values and humor, that might be enough.

What a shame. In my humble opinion Aniston has a real comedic talent and was the best of the Friends cast. She looked set to film Meg Ryan’s shoes, but keeps picking really bad or at least forgettable films. Her better choices of recent times have been smaller projects. Thought she managed to cast off Rachel Green in The Good Girl very well.
