Omg there are pics of Zac from last year where he looks like this, it’s well known that he doesn’t cut his hair between roles and he often doesn’t shave, he wore that jacket for the HSM2 dvd releas last Dec, all of this way before Rob. He is wearing no make-up here at all, and I say that as a make-up artist, his skin is White and he looks quite tired a sure sign that he isn’t!!

Why let all that detract from him doing something wonderful. He has the kindest heart, bless him and those lovely children.

It’s sad how can anyone says this is all for publicity at this time of the year when all this guy wants is to give back and encourage them to not give up hope. Seriously, I doubt these skeptics have done this kind of thing in this entire being but instead would rather speak ill to people who do them no wrong.

Anyway he is doing a good job, reaching out to give happiness to these kids in need, devote his extra time to be with them who possibly might spend their holidays in that situation. Kudos to you!

Agree with you, V-loyalist! Publicity at this time of year? Can people just stop? I’m sure the hospital’s PR people called the papers to let them know he would be there. Zac would never need the attention. He just truly enjoys doing charity work and giving back when he can. I’m sure those children were thrilled about meeting him and making them feel better, even if for a few minutes.

Thanks, Zac. It means the world to those lucky kids that you cared enough to visit them. It’s not fun being in the hospital at Christmas. And I know….I’m a nurse. So many sad things happen around the holidays, and it’s so nice to have a bright spot like this!!!!

First, I doubt that Zac was the only celebrity who was doing this—he’s just the only one pictured here as this is who the photographer selected to take a picture of here with all these kids. Maybe if someone wold search they would be able to also find pictures of other stars who were part of this moment.

Also, as Lily said in her post Zac is not doing this to bring attention to himself but to bring attention to the CAUSE—that being of the Children’s Hospital. Being a nurse who has worked with a lot of kids the past several years and have had dealings with the Children’s Hospital close to me, it is amazing how many very sick children are in the hospital over Christmas. A few year ago one of my patients was there for 42 days on the verge of death and it was over Christmas and it was a horrible time. Many Bengals football players came in with gifts, etc. It made the kids feel great to get something special and it made the parents who had to be there feel pretty good too.

I can only imagine what Zac felt like being around kids who had so many machines hooked up to them. Seeing some poor little girl or boy having tubes running everywhere to all kinds of machines—it can really be overwhelming. It still is for me and I’ve been in nursing for over 30 years.

May Zac have a wonder holiday may God bless all those kids and their families.

back to the important part. Zac is a wonderful guy, so so sweet of him to give his time to brighten childrens lives! When they get to meet someone like Zac they truly get to be happy for a while and forget about everything, the parents love it too. I worked with Make a wish for a while and I can’t you how much it makes them happy to get just a little bit of joy, they are so greatful it’s so heartbreaking to see children ill, but they are so amazing and strong, we should all learn from them. Humilty and grace cost nothing and these poorly children ask for nothing but stay so strong and happy. It’s wonderful to see Zac bringing them toys and his presence! There are some really adorable pics of him and a little girl and she looks smitten!

I hope there will be a future E segment with Zac that they include more career details. They completely skipped over his two upcoming movies (17 again and MAOW) but mentioned Footloose. Sounds like they didn’t do much research on him.

Zac has a very big heart. He really is a very caring person to donate his time to a cause like this. Especially at Christmas time. The happiness he brought to these kids is priceless.

It’s really sweet of him to do this. Not only has he given these kids a great christmas, I’m sure he’s learnt something from them just seeing how bravely they handle their illnesses. Bless him (and the other celebrities that participated) and bless them as well. I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s like being in the hospital over Christmas.

Anne #50 um Zac had long hair WAY b4 rob came on the scene, it’s his trademark (besides the eyes) and is not planning on cutting it anytime soon. An article I read about this on yahoo said Zac spent 2 hours being with the kids and their families and spent time with the kids that couldn’t even speak but had smiles on their faces nevertheless. That’s my kind of guy.
