OlderZac Efron Gifts Mattel Children’s Hospital
Zac Efron (in Nudies jeans) brings holiday cheer to the kids at the Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA on Friday (December 19) in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old actor joined Gifts.com in giving presents out to all the patients at the hospital. Zac took the time to shake everyone’s hands, sign autographs and pose for pictures.
Zac’s former Summerland co-star Lori Loughlin recently had this to say about his relationship with Vanessa Hudgens: “The fact that he and Vanessa have been together for so long speaks to who he is also as a person. He tends to be that one woman guy and just focus on that; again not a player, not somebody’s who’s taking advantage of this new found fame or I’m sure the many girls that are throwing themselves at him. He seems to very level headed about the whole thing.”

It’s sad how can anyone says this is all for publicity at this time of the year when all this guy wants is to give back and encourage them to not give up hope. Seriously, I doubt these skeptics have done this kind of thing in this entire being but instead would rather speak ill to people who do them no wrong.
Anyway he is doing a good job, reaching out to give happiness to these kids in need, devote his extra time to be with them who possibly might spend their holidays in that situation. Kudos to you!

Zac Efron is a good actor and seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
This cause is so wonderful I am a mother and if my child was sick like these kids she would be so happy for that moment to get to meet actors that she looks up to. People should be posting how wonderful these organizations are instead of what he looks like and if he is trying to look like someone else.
Agree with you, V-loyalist! Publicity at this time of year? Can people just stop? I’m sure the hospital’s PR people called the papers to let them know he would be there. Zac would never need the attention. He just truly enjoys doing charity work and giving back when he can. I’m sure those children were thrilled about meeting him and making them feel better, even if for a few minutes.
Thanks, Zac. It means the world to those lucky kids that you cared enough to visit them. It’s not fun being in the hospital at Christmas. And I know….I’m a nurse. So many sad things happen around the holidays, and it’s so nice to have a bright spot like this!!!!

So nice of Zac to do this for these really sick kids. You can tell they really relate to him and him to them. I’m sure he made their Christmas’s . As far as the comment from his Summerland costar, she said it like it is. He is a one woman man and truly cares about Vanessa or he wouldn’t be with her this long. The love they have is so obvious and yet so rare these days, especially among the hollywood crowd.

What a great guy. Zac gives his time to bring attention to this cause. That’s why there are pictures of him doing this. They are not paparazzi pictures. The hospital wants people to know Zac was there doing this because it will encourage other people and maybe actors to do the same. In the long run, it benefits the hospital and the children.
And yes, he didn’t have to do it. But he did.

First, I doubt that Zac was the only celebrity who was doing this—he’s just the only one pictured here as this is who the photographer selected to take a picture of here with all these kids. Maybe if someone wold search they would be able to also find pictures of other stars who were part of this moment.
Also, as Lily said in her post Zac is not doing this to bring attention to himself but to bring attention to the CAUSE—that being of the Children’s Hospital. Being a nurse who has worked with a lot of kids the past several years and have had dealings with the Children’s Hospital close to me, it is amazing how many very sick children are in the hospital over Christmas. A few year ago one of my patients was there for 42 days on the verge of death and it was over Christmas and it was a horrible time. Many Bengals football players came in with gifts, etc. It made the kids feel great to get something special and it made the parents who had to be there feel pretty good too.
I can only imagine what Zac felt like being around kids who had so many machines hooked up to them. Seeing some poor little girl or boy having tubes running everywhere to all kinds of machines—it can really be overwhelming. It still is for me and I’ve been in nursing for over 30 years.
May Zac have a wonder holiday may God bless all those kids and their families.

It baffles me that some people would diss how Zac looks instead of praising him for bringing joy into these kids’ lives.
