Angelina Jolie takes the January 2009 cover of Germany’s Comopolitan. Interview highlights as follows:
On finding time for her family, acting career and commitment as a UN ambassador: “Well, I do take my time outs. And most of all I do receive support from Brad [Pitt]. We are a good team. That is important to me and gives me strength… I cannot sit quietly while others die of hunger and children. My commitment for the United Nations I do not want to abandon. The play has no greater priority. In February, I still turn a movie, then I suppose one years off.”
On surviving each day without a nervous breakdown: “I’m very disciplined. I have a balanced diet and among other things I do Pilates. If I’m fit I feel more comfortable and I do have a lot more energy.”
On playing the role of a mother in Changeling, whose son disappears without a trace: “Just the idea of such a possibility made me go completely crazy. Initially, I wanted to cancel it. But the strength and self abandonment of this woman made be accept the role.”

They faked many other reports as about Pitt/Jolie purchasing an apartment in Berlin 2 yrs. ago.
Anyway, I don’t believe in any slick story / tabloids.
I just trust in what comes out of her or his mouth in videos, deliberating about whether there’s a strategy behind or not.
I’m from Germany and I hope my opinion becomes clear, my English is not that good.

“a reporter asked her [Angelina Jolie] a question she hadn’t gotten before, and instead of answering it immediately, she put her head down so low it was out of the shot. The cameraman had nothing to shoot. Angelina collected her thoughts, and only then got up and gave a great answer.”

I just came to give Angie many props. I don’t know any other woman who would put up with this whiny x and Brad laying low until X came right out and disrespected Angie and his kids. What was he waiting for? Angie must really love this man and I hope he is worthy. For the past six years, New Year’s Eve has been particularly poignant, for it’s the night I officially joined the motherhood brotherhood.
My husband and I brought our first child home from the hospital on New Year’s Eve 2002.
Since then, New Year’s Eve has become even more of a time to take stock of where I am in my life. New Year’s resolutions are common, of course, but for the past six years, mine have ventured beyond pledges like “go to the gym (at least) three times a week” and “stop biting my nails” — neither of which I can seem to manage.
For me, New Year’s Eve is an opportunity to assess my parenting skills, or lack thereof, and to think about what I’ve done wrong (yell too much) and what I need to do better (be more patient).
Fortunately, my kids are all too willing to give me another chance, lots of other chances, every day.
Parenting is a process with a steep, even insurmountable, learning curve, and no one right way to go about it.
I’m a closet People magazine fan, and I couldn’t stay away from the August cover featuring Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their new twins. Being the cynic I am, I couldn’t believe I was getting inspiration from Jolie. But there it was, a sentiment I consciously try to implement each day.
“My mom loved being a mom and made sure her children knew every day how much joy we brought to her,” Jolie said. “I hope to give that to my kids.”
That’s one New Year’s resolution I intend to fulfill.
