Jennifer Aniston’s Christmas Eve Tradition: Dinner With Courteney Cox

Jennifer Aniston continued her annual Christmas Eve tradition by having dinner on Wednesday at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills with pals David and Courteney Cox Arquette and their 4-year-old daughter Coco. (Aniston is called “nouna” by Coco.)

Here’s what a source told People about the evening: “Jen and Courteney chatted non-stop Jen was also very sweet to Coco and the two giggled together… Jen usually gets steak, but she asked for fish instead and she ended up getting the sole and vegetables. Jen also had some white wine with her fish, while the rest of the table enjoyed steak. Courtney and David were also in a great mood and they acted very sweet to each other… Coco was walking around the restaurant without any shoes and when Courteney asked her where her shoes were, Coco said they were too tight and that she had to take them off. Both Jen and Courteney were smiling at her. Jen and Coco seem to have a very special bond and it was cute to watch Jen dote on Coco.”

Aniston’s musician boyfriend John Mayer was MIA.

Why is it always such a big competition between Jen, Ang and Brad? Get over it.
****************************************************************************************

OMFG, you freaking little hypocrite. Like you’re not on here seven days a week promoting the competition. Give me a break. And for someone who isn’t a “bitter person”, you spend a hell of a lot of time trashing Angelina for something she never did. It’s not her fault Aniston couldn’t hold her man.

As for Mayer, I hope poor Jennifer comes to her senses and realizes she is getting laid and played once again. I don’t like her, but it pisses me off to see any woman being treated like that by any man — even if she asks for it. And by going back to him, she definitely asked for it.

” laura2..And keep repeating it to yourself too…. IT’S A DOG MOVIE. Now accept the fact”
*******************************************************************
Well the “dog movie” (i don’t see a problem with that, btw) is still making more money than your idol’s awards nominee movie!
Not bad for “box office poison” like (you love to think) Aniston is…
*******************************************************************
I have no problem if the dog movie made more money than TCCBB. It’s still about the dog that people wants to see. I’ve seen a lot of dog movies with my son and grand kids, so I have no problem with that. But to credit Aniston for making it a box office is laughable.

Brad cheated brad cheated brad cheated bra…how many times Anniston fans can you play that old card? It has been like 4 or 5 yrs now. Oh, you can play it for as long as Jennifer plays it which is everytime she is interviewed. get over it or better, at this point you all and Anniston herself needs to get therapy!
**********************************************************
**********************************************************
You need to tell brad to STFU about Jen. He drags her into every interview. And his mistress who he was fvkkin since they made M&MS is no better. He is the one that needs therapy….he is still pining for the woman. He said he wanted lots of little Jens and now is lying that he didn’t want children with her. He tells so many liesthat he can’t keep up with them. And the biggest lie is that they didn’t have an affair….yeahhhhhh righttttttt!

Aniston is smacking brad’s axx at the BO…..take that loons!!
So much for Oscar bait……films first objectives are to make money and entertain. BB does neither.

Trolls & haters reacted “violently” re Brad’ latest interview. Maybe they reacted this way because they didn’t expect HARSH WORDS (for them) would come out from Brad’s mouth. Actually, only this time, Brad’s words are very explicit. Direct to the point. No beating around the bush. Statements like these:
.
“……..DEAD END…..”
.
“[FATHERHOOD IS] …THE DIRECTION I ALWAYS THOUGHT I WOULD GO IN. BUT NOT UNTIL, WITH ANGIE…. & IT FELT LIKE A NATURAL EVOLUTION, A NATURAL DIRECTION.”
.
Ouch, that must be very painful indeed!!! Definitely, it was killing X softly (or sharply) with those words!!! It is said Words are much hurtful than physical pain. Emotional pain oftentimes take time to heal than physical wounds.
.
Whatever box-office receipts her movie is getting now is certainly not enough to ease her pain. She maybe “laughing in the outside but crying/ whining in the inside.”
.
When she is alone at night, I could just imagine the burst of emotions she’s feeling that she maybe tries to hide when in public.
.
They (& X) thought that Brad is “gentleman” enough to ever utter those hurtful words. Whatever false hope is left in their minds & desperate hearts were all gone. Kaput.
.
There’s no one to blame but X herself because she underestimated Brad. She should have known better as she once lived with him. Or maybe she really didn’t know him that well considering they didn’t exactly live together as a married couple but just a Merger. She knew the real story yet she kept on telling lies to the public & even tried to besmirch the reputation of the person whom Brad considered the greatest love of his life (not just the love of his life as opposed to X public declaration in the past that Brad was only “A love of her life” not even “The love of her life”). I believe Brad is a gentleman but X pushed him to the limit. When Brad saw that X involved his family (Angie & kids) in her interviews, he was mad that’s for sure. Thus, the unusual Brad replies to interviews.

Jill, I do not ‘thrive’ on bad things happening to Angie or Brad. If you can find a post where I do……..please prove it.

I bet Jen could care less what Brad is saying in interviews at this time, she is on cloud nine over the mutt movie! So happy for her :)

***************************************************************************************

He never mentioned Aniston’s name. He said his life was a dead end before he met Angelina and they started their family. He was sick and tired of the whole fake-ass Hollywood scene. If you chose to read Aniston’s name into that, that’s your lookout — although I have no doubt at all that he was sick and tired of her as well. It seems to be a problem for every man she gets involved with. They never stick around, do they?

Totally agree. Although Brad never mentioned Aniston by name, I think this was his way of telling the gloves are off and unless she really wants him to do a number on her, she’d better keep her fcuking mouth shut. I doubt she’s smart enough to take the hint, though.

So much for Oscar bait……films first objectives are to make money and entertain. BB does neither.
***************************************************************************************

Thank you, Sara, for proving what I’ve always suspected about Aniston’s fans — they are fundamentally stupid. Films don’t get nominated for Oscars based on their box office receipts. If they did, a whole bunch of really crappy films would have won awards. Fortunately the academy had better sense than to nominate them.

$11 million in 2 days for a film playing in 700 fewer theaters and running half an hour longer isn’t exactly getting trashed at the box office by a mutt movie, honey, and you’d better hold your breath when the overseas box office receipts come in. CCOBB is being released in 30 countries between now and the end of February; the mutt movie is being released in five. Why isn’t it showing in more countries to compete with CCOBB? One good reason — outside of the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Aniston is nobody, whereas Brad Pitt’s movies are enormously popular all over the world.

Now go read some more tabloids that talk about how great Jenny-poo is doing since she is “finally over Brad” (did it ever occur to you that if she was “finally over Brad” she wouldn’t be incessantly talking about him and Angelina in every single interview?) and hope that maybe Management and Traveling will ever see the light of day in the US sometime before the year after next.

@Jade.

Hi sweet one. Well I have to say I am very happy I went to see Marley and Me. It was such a good movie. Full movie theatre and everyone was weaping…….everyone! Not just at the end, throughout, especially several scenes that involved Jen. She really moved me. Both her and Owen were superb. Marley of course was wonderful. Alan Arkin was really quite good, I haven’t seen him for so long, he hasn’t lost his touch and Kathleen Turner I barely recognized but she certainly hit the spot of full belly laughter with Marley.

Why is it that Angelina didn’t bother to spend her terminally ill mother’s last Christmas with her? Seems like it would have been nice to let the woman spend her last Christmas with her grandchildren. But Jennifer’s ridiculed for having a Christmas Eve tradition with her close friends.

Also comical that people are screaming about JA being in a dog movie, when Jolie’s big movie was a cartoon about a panda.

what wrong with you all? can she have dinner with her best friend without anyone negatively judge her? where is the christmas spirit?
She love her friend and loyal to them and she do not have to glue to her boyfriend every single time..she is one independent woman..
She is a nice person if her friends always around her and if a kid love her ..she must be doing something right..
Its nice to have a tradition..
BTW..her movie beat Brad movie..so she must be doing something right wit her job..acting and promote it..

This site seems to be overwhelmingly weighted towards people who dislike Jennifer Aniston. Whenever I come onto this website (which is rarely) I see such unpleasant and vitriolic articles that make me wonder about the kind of people who write them. Everything about Ms. Aniston seems to be taken so personally by so many contributors. Anyone would think she had committed crimes against humanity. I cannot see what it is that people find so distasteful about her. She seems perfectly pleasant, attractive with good comedic skills and an interesting life style. Good for her!

loL, Jennifer has never had a movie of her own becoming a hit, all her hit movies, she is only a support, Bruce Almighty, TBU, Along Came POlly and now Marley & Me, she is not the first lead, she is second lead and third lead in the case of the dog movie. That is a fact! Aniston’s movies are all feel good, rom-com, light movies, like Rumor has it, Friends with Money, etc, which should do well in the box office, and yet as we know, she has only one hit out of 4 movies she does.

Angelina’s own movies are hits such as, Tomb raider Movies, MaMs, she is not support there her role is same as Brad. WAnted, Angelina was marketed as the lead, even though she has little time in the movie. Even /Changeling did ok despite the depressing theme of the movie.

Rumor has it was hillarious! My all time favorite movie. I am a big Kevin Costner fan too!

Marley and Me is the best movie I have ever seen Jennifer in and I’ve enjoyed her in many. Good story. Excellent cast. Enough said.

LOL, you’re easily pleased. That movie got a big fat 20% on rottentomatoes.com.

That film didn’t do much for either of their careers. I don’t know what’s up with Costner. He was great in “Silverado” but except for a very few hits, his career has been one bomb after the next. Actually, kind of like Aniston’s.

Wow - the hatred in the Aniston threads on this site is awful. I was among the fans that would call themselves “Team Aniston”, but to me, it’s all over now. Brad and Angie have finally admitted that they fell in love - right or wrong - while filming M&M Smith. Their denial of the obvious incensed many people, myself included. I think we all - or I did anyway - kept looking for a crack in the armor of Pitt and Jolie to see when the truth would leak out. They kept it up for a long time, but now it’s over. Brad and Jen were not either one’s soulmate. Brad through in the towel when he met who appears to be his perfect mate - Jolie - and told Jen about his attraction to Jolie. Jen called it quits.

I’m glad Brad and Angie have finally been honest with themselves and with the public. We can all move on from this story now. It’s as old as the hills - a marriage falls apart because they realize they are not soulmates and then one of the spouses is attracted to someone else. Something similar happens to about half of all American marriages. As a die-hard Jen fan, I can honestly say that Brad is much better matched to Angie than Jen. Jen has yet to find her soulmate. It may be Mayer. It may not. But she’ll find him eventually. In the meantime she’s doing a stunning job of showing that you don’t have to be part of a couple to be happy and fulfilled in life. Her roles as actor and, even more impressively, as producer, are impressive. Brad did an amazing job acting in Benjamin Button. And, like I said, I’m not a fan of his. But they are both achieving wonderful things in life apart from one another.

It’s time for the public to move on.

Jen as a producer? What did she produce?

I know she produced “management”, but that movie did NOT even have a distributor. Last I heard it’s going to DVD

time to let go @ 12/28/2008 at 11:11 pm

While she was still with Brad, their production company, Plan B, started work on The Departed. I’ve copy/pasted the text from the Vogue interview about her new production company with her best friend, Hahn.

Oddly enough, one of the more difficult aspects of Aniston’s divorce planted the seed for one of the most significant things that is now happening in her life: her production company, Echo Films. A decade ago, during the salad days of Pitt and Aniston’s courtship, they started a production company out of the garage of Aniston’s best friend, Kristin Hahn; it eventually grew into Plan B. In 2002, Brad Grey, now the head of Paramount, joined as a partner, and the company moved into beautiful new offices in Beverly Hills, teamed up with Warner Bros., and began producing blockbusters like The Departed. But once Aniston and Pitt separated, the partnership had to be dissolved. Hahn and Aniston took some time before deciding to start over again on their own, and now, says Aniston, “we just love it. Finding the book, the article, the right writer. We love the process.”

When I ask Hahn what it’s like to work with Aniston the producer, she says, “One of the things that people don’t realize about Jen is that she is a brilliant businesswoman. She’s a working girl! She is in her office every morning, figuring out her day and making it happen.”

Aniston is eager not only to produce but to direct. “I made a short film, Room 10, a couple of years ago and loved it so much,” she says. Hahn is convinced that Aniston will thrive at it. “In our group of girlfriends, we always joke that she can cut hair better than anyone; she can mix a drink better than any bartender. I think producing and directing for her is going to be the same way. Wherever she points that wand, flowers grow.”

Appropriately enough, all the films Echo has in development right now are about—and there is no better word—ballsy women. Counter Clockwise is a biopic about Ellen Langer, Ph.D., the first woman tenured in the psychology department at Harvard, an iconoclast born in the Bronx who has done controversial work on the mind-body connection, a subject Aniston has been preoccupied with for years. The Goree Girls is a true story about a group of women in a Texas prison in the 1940s who formed a country-western band, became a worldwide sensation through a prison radio show, were eventually pardoned by the governor, and then disappeared into obscurity. (When I ask Aniston if she can sing, she says jauntily, “I can carry a tune.”)

But it is a third project, Pumas, that is the furthest along—and the most telling about Aniston’s state of mind these days. It is a film about older women dating younger men that Hahn describes as a “high-octane comedy about sexual politics and double standards.” Aniston’s description is both funnier and cruder: “It’s sort of a female Wedding Crashers. It’s about these girls who aspire to become cougars. They just paaarty! Young party girls who just find hot young guys to play with and then dump them. Why can’t women do it?” At a time when Hollywood is obsessed with the Judd Apatow version of the infantile, directionless 40-year-old man, it is a tantalizing notion. Aniston, after all, has trained with the Big Boys—as David Frankel says, “What she does so brilliantly is play great tennis with the big stars of our day: Ben Stiller, Jim Carrey, Vince Vaughn.” Why couldn’t she create an alternative by having fun with female stereotypes—not to mention provide another option than the Carrie Bradshaw model she so detests?

There is no doubt that Aniston is noticeably more confident.

Hi jen fan!
I just now, seen your message to me. I’ve been looking for you and
couldn’t find you.

I’am glad you got to see “Marley and Me” and enjoyed it! It’s not in my area yet. I’am looking forward to seeing it soon.I’am very happy about it being No.1. I have missed talking to you, dear.

Aniston did not work on anything at Plan B. Most of the work at Plan B was done by Brad and Jen was lucky enough to be married to Brad and therefore included as partner.

Notice, her recent production “management” in which she is also a producer has NOT had any distributor.

Jen doesnt look confident to me. She tried, and she tried. But underneath, she is SCARED.

Aniston has been getting plenty of attention by regurgitating what life in ‘The Triangle’ is like. She’s made the cover of most major publications and has been a guest on every A-list talk show.
Apart from orchestrating this feud in order to promote Marley and Me, rumors are now swirling that Aniston may have even gotten involved with John Mayer again in order to avoid being single as Brad Pitt also promotes his movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which is being released around Christmas just like her film.
Insiders say Aniston didn’t want to be alone since Pitt and Jolie certainly are together and she didn’t want the obvious unflattering statements that she doesn’t have a man.
Despite settling for Mayer, Aniston is still keeping the pop singer on a short leash. Mayer is expected to follow Aniston’s rules closely, and there’s already plenty of evidence that he’s doing no such thing.
Jen is not happy about Mayer and his apparent lack of devotion.
“Jen has told him if she finds out he’s flirting with any other girls, they’re through,” an insider told In Touch. “She’d also like it if he acted more mature and not go clubbing when she’s not with him.”
Right now Aniston has decided that a half-devoted John Mayer is better than not having a man at all. And when she sees the devotion that Brad Pitt is showing to Angelina Jolie, she seethes in anger and tells the whole world.
Life in ‘The Triangle’ must be very stressful, after all.
