OlderBrad Pitt: Being With Angelina Jolie is a Natural Direction
Brad Pitt reveals just how much portraying the backwards-aging title character in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has colored his perspective on his varied life. Sitting down with the L.A. Times, Brad shares new insights:
On age versus youth: “Once you hit 40, you start reexamining the math of it all… I’ll trade wisdom for youth any day.”
On finding real love: “It’s a tragedy in the sense that any love involves loss, and that’s the risk you take. And the greater the love, the greater the loss. I certainly feel that now with the woman I’m with, and the children that I have. But whatever the course may be, this time together is extraordinary.”
On how being with Angelina Jolie changed his life: “I had a whole other life and I got to experience a lot. And I probably got away with more than I should. And it kind of ran its course, you know, it kind of hit a dead end. [Fatherhood is] the direction I always thought I would go in. But not until, with Angie and it felt like a natural evolution, a natural direction.”
On his work as an actor: “I don’t have to grope as much for the character… I can get there quicker, so it’s not as much trial and error. Also, as I get older, more experiences, I’m more fine-tuned in what I’m after, what I think speaks in the piece. And lastly I want to hurry and get home to my kids.”

No honey remember Brad is doing an interview about CCOBB. It’s about life and death. It’s about sickness. It’s about not knowing what life may bring you so enjoy the life you have today. Stop being so shallow like X whose only cares about is when is her next spray tan and yoga class.

Did you see Button? It was incredible and Brad was too. And as for Babel–he was wonderful in that too. He is a vastly underrated actor. His performance in S7ven deserved an Oscar. It is a shame you let your personal views effect your common sense.

Brad is a realist, he has made a movie that speaks to the fragility of life, he knows that life can be over in a snap, and that there are things that are beyond a person’s control.
He speaks of how extraordinary his present life is, how much he loves Angelina, and how much he loves their kids. He knows that all one has is NOW, that the future is yet to be. He plans to be with Angie and their kids forever but knows that forever is still to be determined.
Let some light into your life. Stop looking for darkness and gloom.
And for the boo birds who say Brad has yet morphed into someone else, no actually the real Brad has finally emerged. Not the PR massaged Brad, not the won’t hurt someone’s fragile ego Brad even though that fool keeps slandering my love and our kids, but the PR less happy family man and confident in love Brad who was always undercover.
What we are seeing with Brad today is who he has always been, he is now free of the deadend life he previously led. Brad today knows that he has a confident woman in his life who loves him unconditionally and who has his back no matter what, he is eMANcipated.

On the contrary, his concern is the idea of tragedy like death or accident that would cause great loss to him as they are his great love.

Whatever Brad is saying now I for one welcome it. It’s been long overdue. His silence allowed maniston to blab too much about Angie, making her think she was winning. She thought by saying nice things about Brad and attacking Angie, she will buy Brad’s silence. I’m happy Brad is now speaking out and if she has any guts let her challenge him, after all the marriage was between them and not Angie. Being the coward she is she will never attack Brad direct, he knows too much about her to bury her and her fake image for good.
I’m sure we will hear next how “uncool” that really was on Brad’s part. I’m glad he is speaking up about his great love! Way to go Brad.

Geez louise. Can’t The Sun EVER tell the truth? Do they always have to lie? Even when it’s something as stupid as a 2-hour romcom beating out a three hour fantasy-drama at the box office? Simple math says the dog movie opened 500 more theaters and can be shown at least 2 times more per day than CCOBB. Statistically it SHOULD win the box office.

EXACTLY…that poster is being obtuse. The whole premise of the film is about not knowing how much time is left and that ‘nothing lasts’. Whether it’s 5 years or 50…you don’t know. So you must live in the present and really appreciate the people in your life that you love. Has nothing to do with him prepping anybody for a break up LOL…that man isn’t going anywhere and if he can help it, will be with her and his kids. Please believe it…
The reality is Brad appears very content and happy with his family…this interview is only a reiteration of what was in his Rolling Stone article.
So today we know that it was Brad who wasn’t in a big hurry to have Jen’s babies. We were wrong all along thinking that she wouldn’t give him the family he always wanted!
I don’t think Brad is thinking about box office competition, he is thinking about his family. Let’s support his movie and support the love he has for his family.
