OlderBrad Pitt: Being With Angelina Jolie is a Natural Direction
Brad Pitt reveals just how much portraying the backwards-aging title character in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has colored his perspective on his varied life. Sitting down with the L.A. Times, Brad shares new insights:
On age versus youth: “Once you hit 40, you start reexamining the math of it all… I’ll trade wisdom for youth any day.”
On finding real love: “It’s a tragedy in the sense that any love involves loss, and that’s the risk you take. And the greater the love, the greater the loss. I certainly feel that now with the woman I’m with, and the children that I have. But whatever the course may be, this time together is extraordinary.”
On how being with Angelina Jolie changed his life: “I had a whole other life and I got to experience a lot. And I probably got away with more than I should. And it kind of ran its course, you know, it kind of hit a dead end. [Fatherhood is] the direction I always thought I would go in. But not until, with Angie and it felt like a natural evolution, a natural direction.”
On his work as an actor: “I don’t have to grope as much for the character… I can get there quicker, so it’s not as much trial and error. Also, as I get older, more experiences, I’m more fine-tuned in what I’m after, what I think speaks in the piece. And lastly I want to hurry and get home to my kids.”

I don’t get why “critics” go on and on about the length of the movie. The movie just flowed, u didn’t even notice the time going by. Also the silliness about the movie being cold, i don’t know which movie they saw. It sure wasn’t BB.

I agree, I don’t see the movie being cold at all and I don’t get why people are complaining that it was to long, to me the time was just right, you get so lost into story that you don’t even notice the time.
Even though I do think that Cate was amazing as Daisy, there are times when I wanted to reach through the screen and smack her upside the head, she was irritiating the hell out of me.
I actually thought that Tilda Swinerton was very good as well.
I have to say that Brad was super hot and sexy in this movie, that body, the dancing, the playfulness and that fantastic butt. He was hot

Tilda was awesome. I loved her performance. Actually I loved everyone’s performance. Even Daisy. Every single character was great.

Saw BB on Xmas Day, loved it! Theater was packed, and it was a rainy day in So Cal. LOL. Loved pretty much everything, about the movie, from the acting, directing, the costumes,the cinematography, the score etc. I think Brad will get a Oscar nom come Jan 22.Award season should be very interesting.

I think the Angelina haters are jenhens. They don’t hate Brad. The trolls hating on Brad are the posters paid by the Scientologists to bring Brad down because they see him as a threat to Tiny Tom. While I don’t hate Tom Cruise, I can’t stand the paid trolls working for him coming here to try to destroy Brad. I’ve never said anything bad about Tom Cruise before, but I will start if these trolls continue with their lies.

No chef boy, it doesn’t work that way. I don’t know where you come from, but if someone is not doing a good job they cannot survive for 20 years in HW. And that goes for other businesses as well. You must work for a really sh*tty company, if you can get away with terrible work and be paid above and beyond your colleagues. And do this for 20 FCUKING YEARS. You might not like Brad that’s fine, but a number of his movies and his performances have been entertaining. And just because you’re biased, doesn’t make that assessment wrong.

I don’t like Tom Cruise but I do think he is a bona fide movie star and have turned in some really good performances. That doesn’t mean I’m going to be on every TC blog telling people that he is a closeted homosexual with a crazy religion.

Saw BB and I really, really enjoyed/LOVED it. Great movie. The casting director did a fantastic job; everyone was just right for their part. Brad was fantastic, he played BB just right. This movie was really funny; had a lot of LOL’s i was not expecting.

Glad you finally saw the movie. ITA that Daisy was annoying - for the first part of the movie. In the last 45 minutes though she was much better because she’d been knocked off her high horse by her injury. And really…hasn’t everyone known a girl like Daisy? So self-involved that she only wants what she wants when she wants it and gets mad at anyone who doesn’t cave into her demands or stands in her way? The character gained humility in the last part of the movie and that made her more bearable. I even felt for her after their baby was born - and I won’t give away what happened in case anyone hasn’t seen it. But that was a bitter pill for Daisy, yet the character accepted it more easily at the end than she did being rebuffed in an earlier part of the film.
