OlderBrad Pitt: Being With Angelina Jolie is a Natural Direction
Brad Pitt reveals just how much portraying the backwards-aging title character in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has colored his perspective on his varied life. Sitting down with the L.A. Times, Brad shares new insights:
On age versus youth: “Once you hit 40, you start reexamining the math of it all… I’ll trade wisdom for youth any day.”
On finding real love: “It’s a tragedy in the sense that any love involves loss, and that’s the risk you take. And the greater the love, the greater the loss. I certainly feel that now with the woman I’m with, and the children that I have. But whatever the course may be, this time together is extraordinary.”
On how being with Angelina Jolie changed his life: “I had a whole other life and I got to experience a lot. And I probably got away with more than I should. And it kind of ran its course, you know, it kind of hit a dead end. [Fatherhood is] the direction I always thought I would go in. But not until, with Angie and it felt like a natural evolution, a natural direction.”
On his work as an actor: “I don’t have to grope as much for the character… I can get there quicker, so it’s not as much trial and error. Also, as I get older, more experiences, I’m more fine-tuned in what I’m after, what I think speaks in the piece. And lastly I want to hurry and get home to my kids.”

Brad is such a Sagitarrius (like my hubby), so laid back, easygoing and lives his own life, but if anybody crosses the line once too often, watch out LOL, they will roar like a the fire sign they are and protect and love with all their heart. Sounds like X may have went to far and he put his own words down this time, was revealing and without a doubt firm, she will have no choice but to get the message . Weirdly, many Sag men have a divorce under their belt and a better relationship later on, when they are older (Sag men are often sexy and have many loves through their lives before settling really down), later on, Sag men know themselves more and are confident, they never look back at the past. Brad certainly sounds happy and content, satisfied and proud, he is maturing well. I like him more today than I ever did.
You’re as wacko as your daddy boo. Stop trying to sound deep. The only separation going on is the one involving what you want to read into Brad’s words and what he actually said. Night and day, night AND day.

Geeez, these trolls are funny. Drank too much eggnog last night? I am ESL but damn, at least I understand what Brad was saying in that LA times and CR interview. Unless some of these trolls are fellow ESLer, there is no excuse for your lame attempt to twist or misunderstand what the man is saying.
When Brad wasn’t saying much about their relationship, trolls crowed that he must not love angie because he does not talked about or defended her. You trolls even love that Brad had “deep friendship” with the X, and hang on to that word and interpreted it as “he still loves the X” delusion.
Now that Brad is talking, you trolls are not happy. Because by Brad talking, It proved that he really, deeply cares about Angie and their kids. He is loving his current life and always in a hurry to go home to his family. Why would you begrudge a man who moved on find happiness just because his ex can’t manage to the same thing? Life is short. seize the moment and enjoy it to the fullest!!!
I suspect that you trolls never wanted Brad to talk about Angie and their family life together in the first place, so you complain about it. Now that he is talking, of course you’re not happy because what he’s saying is not really what you want to hear or know.
Move on trolls and let the X go. X does not empower you or any women despite all those cringe worthy platitudes she espoused. She does not even believe in it; she just utter them to sound enlighten. That’s the tragedy, because she never know how to be authentic. Her desire to please all and be loved by all, are making her out to be so FAKE. Some one did a number on her and it’s not Brad. You are so right on there. Every sag man I know, once they get the right person, that’s it. They cant be with a weak woman, they cant be with a clingy dependent woman. The want a partner in every way and they will defend unto the death their family.

Benjamin Button is a GREAT MOVIE.
Run don’t walk and see this beautiful, fascinating and touching movie. BP gave an amazing performance. Taraji(s) was simply awesome as BB “Mother” in the movie. The entire cast was great. I cried and was deeply moved about the themes of love and life in the movie. The cinematography was superb and New Orleans was simply stunning. I highly recommend this movie. It is one of the best movies of the year. Take time out this weekend and see an enriching movie that will leave you reflecting on life and appreciating all that you have. The bitter hens should take the time to see the movie also. I guarantee that they will appreciate what they have and stop whining over a 4 year Hollywood divorce. 5 stars.

It’s amazing how so many people will take the positive and turn it into a negative. I saw and read both CR and LA Times. One thing he said to Ann Curry people will take things and twist to make something seem appealing. I must say that my take on the whole situation is that he loves his children and Angie. He loves his children more : in any case is the truth. But that doesn’t take away his love for his partner. Now this man says he loves this woman in black and white print says he cares and respects her the most ,and that they may still adopt, that he gets defensive when people attack her, and that the loss of her mom made them not want to hold grudges at each other after they fight. How do you read that they are going to break up after all of that. He did say that something might happen to one or them or if they split or whatever the case. But they missed what he said just before that “IT SCARES THE HELL OUT OF HIM.” I have always said this he fears that she will leave him and maybe take his family that he loves so much. But that crosses every man’s ego once in a while esp since she is a younger woman who is hella loved and so wanted by most men. Everyone keeps saying they would want to be her. But Elizabeth H on the view made a statement that was correct. He has to live with this woman everyday and she makes a so called perfect man look normal and he had to get used to that. Taken in its totality, 2008 was a very good year for movies - and not just because it boasted more excellent films than could be contained on a 10-best list. When movie columnists and media pundits weren’t looking, there was a surprising mood-shift on the part of many of the best Anglo-American filmmakers. Undiluted despair was out. Intelligent optimism was in.
David Fincher, the man who gave us Se7en and Panic Room, achieved a state of bittersweet exultation in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
1. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: At its core churns a wonderful Jack London-esque adventure story about a young man shipping out to see the world. On either end of his journey, the director, David Fincher, the writer, Eric Roth, and the star, Brad Pitt, turn a slender F. Scott Fitzgerald short story about a fellow born old who ages backward into a stirring tale of innocence, experience and life lived to the hilt (if the wrong way around). It’s a thrilling, funny, at times heart-rending fusion of authentic feeling and movie magic. Pitt turns a character who could have been a blank sheet into a panoramic mirror of emotion, and Cate Blanchett, as his true love, is enchanting - a sylphlike muse for Button, the filmmakers and the audience.
