OlderBrad Pitt: Being With Angelina Jolie is a Natural Direction
Brad Pitt reveals just how much portraying the backwards-aging title character in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has colored his perspective on his varied life. Sitting down with the L.A. Times, Brad shares new insights:
On age versus youth: “Once you hit 40, you start reexamining the math of it all… I’ll trade wisdom for youth any day.”
On finding real love: “It’s a tragedy in the sense that any love involves loss, and that’s the risk you take. And the greater the love, the greater the loss. I certainly feel that now with the woman I’m with, and the children that I have. But whatever the course may be, this time together is extraordinary.”
On how being with Angelina Jolie changed his life: “I had a whole other life and I got to experience a lot. And I probably got away with more than I should. And it kind of ran its course, you know, it kind of hit a dead end. [Fatherhood is] the direction I always thought I would go in. But not until, with Angie and it felt like a natural evolution, a natural direction.”
On his work as an actor: “I don’t have to grope as much for the character… I can get there quicker, so it’s not as much trial and error. Also, as I get older, more experiences, I’m more fine-tuned in what I’m after, what I think speaks in the piece. And lastly I want to hurry and get home to my kids.”

Remember that video that someone put in youtube taken during the CCOBB premiere which showed the backs of Brad’s dad, Brad, Brad’s Mum and Angelina standing in exactly that order as they posed for photographs.
Do you remember in that moment, Brad had his arm over his mum’s shoulder and his hand was caressing Angelina’s bare back?? There they all were, surrounded by chaos, flashing lights, everyone screaming for their attention, and Brad is reaching over his mum’s shoulders to caress Angelina’s bareback and shoulder.
I believe that Brad’s action to reach over and caress Angelina’s back was totally sub-conscious. I don’t believe he consciously thought, “Oh, I better caress Angelina’s back now because the cameras are looking”. The more likely action would be for him to put his arm around his mother and used his hand to clasp his mum’s shoulders as they all stood together to pose for the paps.
Brad did reached out to caress Angelina because he wasn’t thinking and he couldn’t help himself. He wanted to just touch Angelina.
That’s why Pitt Po*n is the best. Because it is REAL.

1. Fool’s Gold. McConaughey mugs his way through yet another leading role, playing Finn as Sahara’s Dirk Pitt minus the SEAL training and a few million brain cells.
2. Vantage Point. The latest and dumbest in a long line of political thrillers.
3. Drillbit Taylor. As a bully movie, it falls far short of such genre classics as Three O’Clock High and The Karate Kid and barely rates mention alongside mediocre efforts like Lucas or … The Next Karate Kid.
4. Street Kings. If you make it through the first twenty minutes of this and still don’t know who the bad guys will end up being and how everything will end, I can only offer my condolences, because obviously not all your dogs are barking.
5. 88 Minutes. One small step for bad filmmaking and one giant leap for the increasing insignificance of the former Michael Corleone.
6. What Happens in Vegas… During the screening, I tried to come up with as many synonyms for the word “excruciating” as I could. I gave up around ten.
7. You Don’t Mess With the Zohan. There are laughs, but even Dorf on Golf had its moments.
8. Twilight. Stephanie Meyer’s ponderous salute to teen abstinence and patriarchal supremacy marks the endgame for what has been a decades-long castration of the vampire genre.
9. Marley & Me. Enough to make one sympathize with that cougar from Where the Red Fern Grows.
10. Sex and the City. Otherwise sane women seemed perfectly willing to identify with someone whose biggest problem was whether or not to accept the gift of a million dollar penthouse from their boyfriend. Maybe society truly is doomed.

The 39-year-old — whose ‘Wanted’ series was turned into a blockbuster starring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy – lost more than a stone in weight in 10 days. Marvel comics writer Mark was raced to hospital after his temperature soared to 103 and he developed extreme flu-like symptoms. Mark, of Glasgow, said: ‘I went off sick the first week of December and thought I had a heavy cold or flu. My temperature was a consistent 103F and I was awake all night shivering. After a week, it wasn’t passing and my wife made me an appointment with the doc. He did tests and found my blood was wonky, my spleen was huge and my liver was acting weird — all the symptoms of several very nasty things. In Europe it will be the same. People here are more into movies like TCCOBB than Marley and Me wich is ‘poor’ in everyway. When there is ‘poorness’ at least make it action movie or real entertainment. It’s not of them. And besides, who know the book ? Nobody !

TCCOBB will continue cruisin’ long before the dog flick would have sunk. It’s just one of those movies that take the marathon route and whose longetivity in success will be even more guaranteed by the Oscar nominations and awards season which acts as a the best promotion a movie can get, hence why the nominations are always put on the picture movie as it boost sales.

Oscars nominations have apositive incident on sales as it triggered for the second time the public interest for a movie, make attractive to some of folks who didn’t think anything from it at the beginning.

Brad caresses Angelina, in a kind of absent minded way, as if he just likes to feel her skin and touch her. I’m quite a touch-feely kind of person and I can absolutely relate to just reaching out and touching someone I love just because I love to touch the one I love and I don’t even have to think about it. The hand reaches towards the subject of my love and voila, I give that person a caress. :lol: :lol:
The other thing that the video reminded me of was that Brad’s caress was the opposite of the stiff poses which Brad and Angelina adopted during the promotion of M&MS. Remember when they stood side by side or smiled at each other but wouldn’t touch a finger? LOL. They must have been dying inside!!!
