Brad Pitt: Being With Angelina Jolie is a Natural Direction

Brad Pitt reveals just how much portraying the backwards-aging title character in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has colored his perspective on his varied life. Sitting down with the L.A. Times, Brad shares new insights:

On age versus youth: “Once you hit 40, you start reexamining the math of it all… I’ll trade wisdom for youth any day.”

On finding real love: “It’s a tragedy in the sense that any love involves loss, and that’s the risk you take. And the greater the love, the greater the loss. I certainly feel that now with the woman I’m with, and the children that I have. But whatever the course may be, this time together is extraordinary.”

On how being with Angelina Jolie changed his life: “I had a whole other life and I got to experience a lot. And I probably got away with more than I should. And it kind of ran its course, you know, it kind of hit a dead end. [Fatherhood is] the direction I always thought I would go in. But not until, with Angie and it felt like a natural evolution, a natural direction.”

On his work as an actor: “I don’t have to grope as much for the character… I can get there quicker, so it’s not as much trial and error. Also, as I get older, more experiences, I’m more fine-tuned in what I’m after, what I think speaks in the piece. And lastly I want to hurry and get home to my kids.”

I wonder how much the twins have grown up, if they still favor mini Angie and mini Brad. They are heading 6 months old and should look cute as buttons !

don't care @ 01/06/2009 at 5:28 pm

The twins almost 6 months - seems the Jolie Pitts don’t care squat about their fans. If they did they would be sharing photos with their fan base. And for those who say that the babies are their business and not ours — excuse me - they made them our busness when she flaunted her pregnancies and adoptions and then photos of her kids to the news media. this is just a way of saying they are better than us - and we don’t deserve do know or see anything about then right now. Have they forgotten that we are paying their paychecks and without us thier would be no them. I think they are just plain rude and sleezy con artists that look down on people.

PH is right on here- Angie is a REAL star! i know many don’t like PH, so i won’t put the link- you find this blurb in L Smith’s recent article re: PH’s new book:
-
Perez is confident that a “real star” like Angelina Jolie “doesn’t have time for petty stuff like that.”

Youre only an hour off schedule, so run along now and go swallow.

Brad Pitt to Present at People’s Choice
Today 10:04 AM PST by Marc Malkin

Paul Edwards/News International/ZUMAPress.com
Brad Pitt could be a surprise guest at tomorrow night’s People’s Choice Awards.

It’s not a very prestigious awards show, but I hear the Curious Case of Benjamin Button star is mulling over a possible appearance during CBS’ live telecast.

If it does happen, however, don’t look for him onstage at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium…

I hear Pitt, who has been an awards-season favorite this year for his Benjamin Button work, would pop up in a pretaped segment. He was offered but apparently turned down the chance to be beamed in live via satellite, according to a source.

As for Angelina Jolie, I’m told she declined both a taped and satellite segment.

Hollywood’s most beautiful couple is expected at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday followed by the Golden Globes on Sunday.

Celebs scheduled to present—live and in person—at the 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards include Marisa Tomei, Robin Williams, Seal and Kid Rock, among others.

I got this info from E. Can anyone confirm if BP will Present at People’s Choice.

Hey Cook thank God you are not one of these people you jsut wrote about - ha ha ha ha - you crazy loon.

Cook said “…silly f ucks…these people don’t owe any overzealot anyf uckinthing…there are fans who pay for their movies who don’t need to see them like they’re a drug needs takin…beat it papz!…hahhaha”

…backatcha!…

wobbler30 @ 01/06/2009 at 6:18 pm

I want to apologize for my rant I went on yesterday about BP. I was upset because I don’t like for people to do certain things. I still have my reservations but I did go onto one of his sites today and read the whole RS interview and I think he pretty much did say they both agreed to sell the pics. I think I need to do a little more indepth reading about some things before I go off. But I still don’t regret some things I said about him. I’m not going into depth again. So many people post on here and say some nasty things and some of you want to say I’m defamming him by saying he needs to stand up and be a man. Which I think he did in the RS article. Not just to praise AJ but let people know the real deal and be honest about things. That’s what we all want from each other. I hope! So good bye and I hope that oneday Ican come on here and have a good convo with some intelligent people.

…umma a STAR up in here jared!…now, I see why fug became INFAMOUS…I would like to thank all the little people who made this possible…serious…no hahas…hahah…maybe a couple…WIN STEELERS!!…

Employees at the Regal Brandywine Cinemas say the vice president-elect and his wife, Jill, tried to attend the 7:45 showing of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” at the theater on Concord Pike but left after they were told the movie was sold out.

Awww, I hope the Bidens get to see BB this weekend.

I don’t know if you are sincere in what you posted, but I as a big fan of Brad and Angie appreciate that you at least went back to read the article and tried to be open minded. I for one was a fan of Friends. I enjoyed Jennifer on that show. Although Phebe was my favorite. I love the romance of Rachel and Ross. Yes I am a Brange fan but I did watch Friends. The thing that I came to realize was that Jennifer was not Rachel.. So I had to look at Jennifer Aniston and not think about her TV character.. I just want her fans to do the same. Stop thinking that she is the character she played on a show.

Angelina is the only one who has to set a bar for Brad Pitt. She seems happy and content. So looking at her I am sure that Brad gives her everything she needs.. and She; it is obvious, does the same for him. they seem to be a team.. And that is the foundation of a relationship for me.. two people working together for a common goal, yet allowing the other to grow and pursue their own dreams and goals as well.
I really love this couple on screen and off… Can’t help myself.. I don’t read about any other celeb the way I read about them.

Yes, Brad’s RS interview was revealing… He has given many quotes about Angelina… the problem is most media outlets don’t want to print the positive. They want to pick the quotes that can be twisted into something else… The fans know the truth, therefore we get angry when the lies are put so predominately on display. It pisses us off big time.

I try to stay away from the sites where the haters meet to feed in earnest on the lies.. And I have chosen this year to try and not engage them…. I am thinking of a phrase I can use over and over again to drive them crazy…

My ideas are…

Oh I know you really love them,,, its OK.. (I’ll just post it over and over and over and over and over and over and over… you get the idea..

CCOBB had the highest per-screen gross on Monday. The holidays are over, the kids are back in school, and the grownups don’t want to see a mutt movie. The award season is coming up, CCOBB is nominated for multiple awards, and the mutt movie is nominated for nothing. Plus CCOBB is already doing better than the mutt movie overseas. Check the box office again in two to three weeks and see what’s happening then. And in the meantime, Brad’s enjoying life with Angie and their children, and poor Jen is stuck at home wondering who Mayer the player cheating on her with behind her back. Sucks to be Aniston, poor thing.
