Dita Von Teese takes the Winter 2008/2009 cover of Citizen K magazine, as photographed by Sol Sanchez.
The 36-year-old burlesque beauty says, “When I was young, I was given advice for becoming rich and famous. I did neither. There are many women who want to be actresses or models, but nobody wants to be a great stripper. What I wanted was not to be like everyone else, so I said I want to be a stripper.”
Dita also addressed why she launched her collection of lingerie: “I’m a crazy girl with an obsession for lingerie. It is not a question of seduction, but of femininity, which is very different. Through fashion, you can be a flirt.”

I love this woman for her originality. I love it when someone wants to be who she really is no matter what people might think about it. No matter if negativity might come her way (YES people, I’m a fan of Christina Aguilera lol). That’s why I respect her, she’s not afraid of having criticism bashing on her. She’s great. I really love the fact that she wants to be totally different from the rest of the plate……I mean, enough with copies of everyone!

Very nice spread. I like that it’s not in-your-face sexy. Not too much skin. It’s more subtle. It’s like - “I know I’ve got a smoking bod, so I don’t need to show all to prove it.” What’s also great about Dita is that she isn’t the most beautiful girl, but she’s always perfectly turned out - from the top of her head to the tips of her toes.

Dita comentó en la entrevista que la razón de tener su propia colección de lencería es porque desde chica la lingerie era una obsesión para ella. No es uan cuestión de seducción, pero si de feminidad, que es muy diferente. A través de la moda puedes ser muy coqueta.

I’ve never seen her so sexy…finally, not every hair so in place…she looks sexier a little disheveled…bravo to the photographer who captured her like this! She is usually WAY too controlled…this loss of control is truly hot for her…and for us! (BTW…I am a straight woman!)
