John Mayer: New Year’s With Jennifer Aniston!
John Mayer arrives at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Friday (December 26) with his two brothers — Carl (older, inset) and Ben (younger, not pictured).
The 31-year-old musician spent Christmas on the East Coast while girlfriend Jennifer Aniston spent Christmas Eve with Friends BFF Courteney Cox in L.A. Looks like Mayer and Aniston will be ringing in the new year together on the West Coast!
Aniston’s Christmas Day release of Marley & Me raked in $14.75 million in ticket sales, breaking the previous record of $10.2 million set by 2001’s Ali.

John Mayer looks tired. I’m glad that people seem to be enjoying the movie Marley & Me.
I think he likes New York, doesn’t seem happy going back to LA or to JA. This certainly isn’t going to last or he’s had a bad day, his brothers? Gosh, she must be boring for him to bring his brothers along.
Awesome. Prefer Jen over that homewrecker Jolie any day!

Benjamin Button set a record also at #2 and it wasn’t even shown at the number of theaters Marley and Me debuted at. Plus, Marley and Me is a dog movie I’m sure all the dog lovers were there, plus I heard alot were disappointed in taking their children to Marley and Me becaused it dwelled on miscarriage and death. So the clips were not what they seemed. I heard BB was a great movie kind of like “Forrest Gump” and we loved that movie. I hope BB does well, Brad Pitt deserves it for the fine performance and he didn’t even need a dog to bring in an audience.
I want too Jen’s movie, but I’m a Brad Pitt fan so I’m gonna see his movie instead. I’m glad that her movie is doing well though. I think Brad made a mistake starting his family with Angie (after all I remember how I thought she was a psycho and no amount of charity work is gonna vindicate her & her bro when they were on national tv). I do hope that they are all happy esp Jen and John.

If Marley and Me was successful at opening it was because of the dog. Dogs always make a movie and actors that can’t carry a movie (like Jennifer Anniston and now Owen Wilson) always need a prop in order to generate ticket sales. Unlike a real actor like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie whose presence and acting alone can carry a movie and ticket sales. Try to make a movie with just Jennifer Anniston in a drama and it will be a dud. Forget John Mayer, the only thing he can carry is a note and barely. Owen Wilson has suffered at the box office too recently I guess due to his botched suicide.

YES!!!! Anniston gets the last laugh and beats out Brad and his three hour long movie about him reverse aging!!! HAHAHAHAHAAHA I love it so much!
How cool that this opening day tops all of Brad’s and Angies movies. Lets see Angie played a dog didnt she in one of her summer movies or at least some animal. Oh I forgot unless Brad has George Clooney or Angie has a gun their movies are just not the best… Like Marley and Me!! Hahahahahahaa what do you Vampelina lovers have to say now!!!

Actually, Marley & Me (the movie) will do well because people love the book. It has been set up to do well; successful book, opening at Christmas when people are looking for family entertainment and a story about a dog. It should do well. Jennifer Aniston is neither horrible nor awesome as an actress; that role could have been successfully played by several actresses quite successfully, so to call this “her” movie is not true. She has many fans, but I daresay that the majority of fans she has are from people jumping on her personal bandwagon (because of something in their own lives) and not from her talent. That’s sad.
As for Angelina Jolie (and I hesitate to respond to this because it’s not an AJ thread), Jessica, are you twelve? You’ve obviously not lived much, or you’re that one perfect person on this earth who’s never ever ever made a mistake, rebelled or put a wrong foot forward. Even people who commit horrendous acts, are allowed to pay their price and move on, and have moved on to be better people, giving to this world and their families. You will grow up someday and learn this. Or, Gosh forbid, be in a position of needing someone to overlook a little temporary craziness on your part.
I hope, when that day comes, people are less judgemental of you than you are of your fellow human beings.

I am guessing that Jen’s movie fee will go up over Angelina (french kiss my brother)Jolie. Jolie better hope she gets another movie where she gets to be a psycho seems those and ones with guns are the only movies she can make that have a chance of being seen.

LOL…who didn’t think the cute pup flick would do well? Congrats to her on the top spot for Christmas day, but I don’t want to make this more than it is.The reality is in the large scope of things, this movie isn’t going to do anymore for Jen’s career than TBU did. The book by John Grogan that was the inspiration for this film has a HUGE following…that certainly translates to some of the success. To say it’s based on the back of how ‘popular’ Jen is…well that’s subjective, at best and I’m a fan. If that was the case the other films she’s recently completed over the past couple of years wouldn’t have had such a hard time finding a distributor. While it’s nice her film has gotten off to a great start to think this is somehow a grand show of something is silly. At the end of the day after the weekend’s over, that’s pretty much it. Nothing more will really be said about this film, specifically as we head into Awards season. Great holiday fun though.
On topic: John looks a little beat…perhaps he is bringing his brother’s along for a Mexico get away with Jen and other friends. That would be fun…though I suppose I wonder why they didn’t also spend Christmas together? Still not convinced he’s the best pick for her, but if she’s happy that’s what’s important.
marley and me did well becasue it’s a good book and a good movie.
i saw bb as well. it was ok. not great but ok. it really drags. tilda was the only real great one in it.
brad can’t act and there was too much CGI.

I made the huge mistake of watching the Brad Pitt Movie over Jennifer Anniston movie on Christmas Day. If you havent seen Benjamin Buttons I am warning you DO NOT GO!!! It is so long and really just a clueless movie. It doesnt come together at all. It looked interesting on the previews but that just suckered me and my friends in. I saw Marley and Me today and even though it had a dog in it, it was about so much more than the actual dog. A beautiful story.
I am going to Adam Sandlers flick tomorrow… I dont plan on suffereing through Tom Cruise Movie

Also, to Wilma, Jen’s fee will NEVER go hire than Angelina’s. Angelina’s reputation–depending on the person, it’s good or bad–precede her. Angelina has won many major awards; Jen has an Emmy. (Is it just one?) Angelina always gets people completely fired up. Look at the comments here and this isn’t even about her!
And to Woah–of course Marley was going to win over Benjamin. 1, it’s rated PG, and 2, it opened on more screens.
