John Mayer: New Year’s With Jennifer Aniston!
John Mayer arrives at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Friday (December 26) with his two brothers — Carl (older, inset) and Ben (younger, not pictured).
The 31-year-old musician spent Christmas on the East Coast while girlfriend Jennifer Aniston spent Christmas Eve with Friends BFF Courteney Cox in L.A. Looks like Mayer and Aniston will be ringing in the new year together on the West Coast!
Aniston’s Christmas Day release of Marley & Me raked in $14.75 million in ticket sales, breaking the previous record of $10.2 million set by 2001’s Ali.

And I’ll continue with this to make my point.
Marley and Me made $14,600,000 showing in 3480 theatres which comes out to about $4195 per theature (average)
BB made $11,700,000 showing in 2988 theatres, which is about $3915 per theatre (again average).
If you multiply the difference, 492 theatres by that $3915, you’d presume if both movies played at equal number of theatres, BB would have averaged about $13,626,506, merely $1m less than Marley & Me.
Further, Marley and Me is a PG film, while BB is a PG13, which is going to further increase the Christmas viewing numbers as more entire families will go as opposed to just adults or over 13’s.
I would say that by looking at the facts, we could say that at the very least, both films are coming out at about even in popularity.
Now, if you look at the ratings of the films based just on the film viewed, not someone comparing the two, you have:
Marley & me; 60% gave it an A, 11.3% gave it a B, 6.3% gave it a C, 2.5% gave it a D and 20% gave it an F.
BB; 75% gave it an A; 6.8 % gave it a B, 2.3% gave it a C, 3% gave it a D and 12.1% gave it an F.
So, if you want to be childish and compare apples to oranges for those two, they do appear to be pretty even.
As for John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston; as two human beings, they deserve to be happy and if they make each other happy, then I wish them well and hope they get on with their life.
That has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else, including their ex’es.
Congrats Marley & Me because these are the showing for both movies this upcoming months

Arent a majority of movies an adaptation of a book? Just like the Curious Case Of Benjamin Buttons?

Not necessarily…besides Benjamin Button is not based on a book as much as a loose adaption of a short story/fable. The movie in many ways was nothing like the fable from what I’ve read. Those so wrapped up in the tabloid aspect of this ‘competition’ truly underestimate the popularity of this book…I mean seriously. If half the folks who own it go and see it this film that means a lot of cash for Fox. That and the marketing campaign that pushed the puppy/dogs to the fore front and it of course led to what is happening.
Again, while it’s nice she and Owen were successful some people are making this more than it should be. That’s silly in that it isn’t as if it completely destroyed the competition. TCOBB broke the previously held record ‘Ali’ set as well…it just of course was geared to adults vs. families/kids.
As a fan, I really think it’s comparing apples and oranges.
I’ve seen enough of this “MAD-MAX”!!

This is Angie Jolie. I will so wear your blood around my neck now that you are a box office success! Did I mention that I am openly bi=sexual? Brad is getting a little old and boring for me.
Oh I am so thrilled for Jennifer Anniston. She is so deserving of this. Especially after all the crap that Brad and Skankelina have put her through(mentioning her everytime there is a new movie, etc). I am just so proud of how you have rose above them in so many ways… Let me count them $1,000,000.000 plus $1,000,000,000 plus $1,000,000.00 and the Box Office Queen of the Christmas Holidays!!!!
