I think it’s called a set up. Probably the idea of the Bond franchise. He comes across so impersonal and cold, it’s been hurting his image a bit. And all the people who don’t like Sats. This smells very strongly of a PR set up. It seems very obvious that one pap is following them around. I have a feeling this photographer works for his PR team since he is everywhere where they are.
I don’t think it matters that they showed the pictures of them arguing because as was proven on this thread, most people won’t be able to figure that out.
Most people will go ahead and assume that they are a happy couple, and they will see him as an ordinary guy and in a more personalable light, which will help his image.
I wouldn’t be in the bit surprised if this whole thing was set up by the Bond franchise to improve his image before the Bond 23 comes out so even more people will like him.
There were too many rumors of and pictures of them looking miserable, there were rumors of him being in a bar fight, too many people were complaining that he looks dull on interviews, and after the MH interview I think they decided to start early with image improvement and damage control.
Unfortuantely, they think that just being seen together will prove that they are a happy couple, but unfortunately, you can see from all the body language that they are not.

That the thing, they are rarely seen walking together on this vacation, she is either in front of him, or behind him. From all of these pictures only strange kiss picture emerged which he looked very unemotional and unromantic in.
There is absolutely closeness detected between these two. It is almost like they are just friends, trying to act like a couple.
It’s very strange.
If they were from a Middle Eastern country with different customs, where the woman is treated as second class, I might understand.
But why is DC treating her like she is second class. He seems more concerned and happy around all the other people, his family and friends.

I truly believe she has been adopted and contracted as his business girlfriend, a cover, to help his image. I think it may even have been the Bond franchises idea. They need to keep his image as one of steady, clean and honorable. A steady girlfriend is what they need for him to have, they can’t have him running around with a bunch of different women and creating scandals and rumors. Also, many actors that are single are immediately labeled as gay, and that is the last thing they would want!
Well, as wel know, something people who have everything, don’t have the most important things in life, like love. Money doesn’t buy that kind of happiness. And I think, like you, he simply can’t hide it from shining through his eyes and face.
This definitely stinks not only of a set-up, but it definitely stinks for poor DC.
I’m also afraid that this whole thing is going to make it worse for poor DC because seeing him play with the baby is going to trigger her hormonal clock and the poor man will probably not hear the end of that!

I think it will too. I’m sure he can’t ignore the baby like he did on the beach but I think Satsuki will nag him over this. I’m sure of it. Thats is what I’m thinking about this.

I have a feeling we are going to be seeing beach everyday they are there. Inundate the media with him look like an ordinary guy, happy with his family and his girlfriend, except he doesn’t look happy with her at all!
Then when he comes back for the Defiance premier, maybe people will like him a bit more.
This set-up may also have to do with Defiance being shunned from the Golden Globes and probably the Oscars, and a lot of people think it has to do with his association with Sats, maybe they’re also trying to make her look more likeable, but I think that aspect of this set-up is failing horribly.

Gawd, this smells soooooo fishy. Can you get any more PR? Going to St. Bart’s during the holidays where its crawling with tourists, showing off your 16 year old daughter (whom you guarded so much - of course, she is of age now), Sats in skimpy bikinis flashing her ring, everybody knowing the paps are there, guy pals, family members (?),etc. So what gives Dan? Some looks really natural, but the rest reeks of staging. I love Daniel, but if I hear him pissing and moaning about the paps and the press ever again, I’ll scream! :P

That’s the paps bread and butter, and the fact that we’re all looking at the pics here as well as other sites (including dtd and others who have even more pics) is feeding into this “obsession”. :(

IMHO, it’s a catch-22, we as fans want to give Dan some privacy, but also we’re attracted to any pics or info we can find. But that’s the price of fame and as fans we contribute to the madness… :(

Last year at Barbados there were two pics of them that were in the UK press which were taken off soon after just like the feature on them this year in the Daily Mail.

So this year we have the opposite. Why?

It seems his “quiet” holiday with friends and family has gone up in smoke.
No, I don’t think he staged anything with the paps as I genuinely think he hates them esp with his daughter but I think on this holiday he isn’t making a fuss because he with freinds and his daughter and wants to remain calm for everyone’s sake.

They do seem to know where they are though, the paps, on Saline Beach (its a long beach), how exactly do the paps know where? It seems more like a phto op fest for Satsuki in her array of bikini’s more like. I do hope she isnt coming out with her own line.

Anyway, I think he is tolerating it for everyone’s sake as I said, if it were just he and Satsuki they wouldn’t have so many pics splashed all over.
Ella is now 16 and probably came to the conclusion that she didnt want to “hide” anymore re-the Oasis gig that she appeared at. I think this is her introduction to the media world. It seems as if Daniel and her mother and Ella have embraced it. If you can’t lose them, join them attitude.

I think it is overkill with the pics even though I like seeing them.

how best to explain this: ok study the body language of president-elect obama when he is with and/or talks about his wife. then study the body language of brad pitt when he is with/or talks about angelina. then study the body language of pierce brosnan when he is with and/or talks about his keeley. there is no question that these three men are in love with their partners.

go back and study the body language of prince charles in photographs with princess diana in, let’s say, the 3 month period before the official announcement that it was over between them. then take another look at daniel’s body language when he’s with satsuki. compare daniel’s body language with that of charles then you will understand what my brother, a police detective and others are saying.

So here’s a theory I’ll toss out there — scientists (and others who study these things) say that a man is attracted to a woman with curves because subconsciously, he is seeking out the most fertile woman he can find in order to bear his children.

Since Daniel seems to be attracted to Mansuki who can’t even spell ‘curve’, perhaps he is subconsciously attracted to women who are NOT fertile, meaning he doesn’t want to have any more kids, period.

Looking at her, I wonder if she could even carry a child. No hips, nothing. Scary. But might be perfect for him.

She has a body like a guy. If you don’t look at her head, you would think it was a man you were looking at.

I think Satsuki likes to play games and perhaps Daniel as well - she is not wearing the band in this photo which was posted after the previous one where she was wearing the band. As for the gold band - simple can mean “I just love you does it matter if it’s a fancy ring”

I think this is Ella’s debut in front of the world press really, I guess he and Fiona can’t hide their daughter anymore. But I do see the rest of the pics are not showing her face anymore. One pic is shows her and Sats in the water, no face of ella is shown. So a deal has been struck I think since the first day.

Maybe thats the deal, takes pics of me for a few days then leave me alone until after the N Year? Maybe they all agreed on that, make the paps some money then leave us alone!

Well that’s the concensus. She watches his rushes and “advises’ him on what looks good. I dont believe that she interferes with the whole filming itself or even dares to, she does not have that power and no-one would put up with that on set either. She does comment and Daniel listens and he either acts on it or not. But his films have not been as good as before. He is too aware of how he looks now, very superficial. She helps search for scripts etc and advises him on that but the amterial she has put before him has not been good and his acting has been below par.

I think that he will set up his own production company and she will be part of it. I can see this coming. Andy Cohen (Bravo) maybe helping or advising them on the best way to do it maybe as he is SVP of Bravo. They may end up working together on some project or something that Satsuki can do. I can see this a mile off!

Maybe when she is firmly established and making great money with her own production company or in partner with him, they may split.

Maybe that’s why he’s hanging on.

I am trying not to be cynical but Daniel, no matter what he says, I feel is not as in love with her as she is with him.

He will either stay out of fear of change or leave. But going on past relationships, he never leaves the woman, they leave him. I feel that Satsuki will NEVER leave this man no matter what. She will stay through ups and downs.

I am not going to profess I persoanlly know either of them but, trust me with what I’ve heard, Satsuki will stay with this man until he makes the decision to leave and again, I think he fears being alone.

as you can see from all 57 pics the interaction between them is not exactly warm, in fact satsuki is standing up while the others are sitting down in some pics as if to say “look at me” trying to get his attention

I think all the people on here regarding the body language are right, he seems to show little interest in her even if his daughter is around. No show of deep warmth, just laughing a bit and grinning but that seems to be more at his pals than her.
Around pic 30, you see him saying something to her with his hand out then walking away smiling as if to say “what the hell?”, she then stands there twiddling her hair and his friend then gets up to go to him.
He does look a little tipsy in some pics, nothing wrong in that but how much of the affection he shows her is through drink? Beer goggles?
No offence to him but I think she got agitated because of the paps and the fact he was ignoring her a fair bit and he looks like he was teasing her also which she got mad about.
