Katie Holmes Whips Out The Winter Shorts
Katie Holmes whips out the See Thru Soul winter shorts once more before 2009, leaving her New York City apartment for the Gerald Shoenfeld Theater on Sunday afternoon (December 28).
The 30-year-old actress had another matinee performance to do for Arthur Miller’s play All My Sons. Katie kept warm in a gray Marc Jacobs scarf and carried around her Blackberry Bold.
BTW, Tom Cruise, Valkyrie screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie and director Bryan Singer gave a recent interview to the LA Times that you might want to check out.

Victoria! I guess her sense of dress just offends my fashion sensibilities. I used to model and started out as a fashion major. Unlike many, Katie has the resources to tap into cutting edge fashion minds. Instead she has decided she is a fashionista. Which I guess is okay, but why does she highlight areas of her body that are not her best feature. For instance the stirrup pants on her legs look awful. She does not have good legs. Her thighs are heavy and her ankles are heavy. Why take an item of clothing that is skin tight to highlight this? Furthermore in high heels she always looks awkward. The difference between her and Kidman, say–Kidman carries herself with assurance and she wears her clothes. Katie slouches almost as tho she were embarassed and the clothes wear her. When you look at Kidman or Bundchen etc., the clothes are an extension of who they are (for the most part–each obviously at times makes a miss or mistake). Katie consistently chooses things that are discordant on her body. She slouches. The clothes wear her. Take Aniston. She looks good in a top and a bottom. For some reason Katie is unable to put together a top and bottom that look good. Take the jeans in the last post. Way too long. Who wants their jeans dragging on the sidewalks of NYC. Yuck. I love NYC and consider it my second home, but I would never wear anything that dragged on those filthy sidewalks in the theater district.
Basically I just don’t get it. She needs an intervention from TLC’s What Not to Wear. Stacy and Clinton where are you?
Obviously, Suri selected this outfit and demanded her mother wear it. No adult woman (in her right mind, at least) would go out in public looking like that.

It was unseasonably — and unreasonably — warm in NYC today, but that outfit is a horror show by any standard.
Looks like she could not make up her mind what to wear….so, she threw on something for summer, fall and winter and something formal for her feet.

she needs to keep her face in d public, with no carrier and Tom’s carrier doomed they need some type of media exposure, even if it means walking in d streets of NY with rags on and suri in arm.
The stirrup tights look ridiculous. Besides, they add 5 pounds to her legs.

And the Jolie-Pitts and Kidman have it WAY easier than TomKat does. They have three times as many defenders and no attack is ever as vicious as these.
The stupidity of most of the posters here really amazes me. Surely you must all be more intelligent than your posts suggests.
A bunch of Angelina lovers that feel threatened by Katie Holmes, and so you feel you must make yourselves feel better by typing up **** about the Cruises. Angelina and Brad will never have the class that Tom and Katie have, though I do like them. It’s a shame though that many people feel that they must choose between the two couples. That’s a ridiculous notion, and shows how stupid some of you are.
They’re not opponents, and in fact do have real respect and likeness for one another.
Get a grip people.
I don’t have respect for either Tom or Brad Pitt. One walked out on his pregnant wife and the other cheated on his wife.

@ oh my: I am starting to think Mr. and Mrs. Holmes have been branded as supressive persons too. Look up David Miscavige’s neice’s name (Jenna) on Google. She goes into quite a bit of detail about this & how many members of their family were torn apart. She is no longer a member of the “church” by the way. Interesting but very very scary to say the least.
Anyway, I happen to think Katie looks great here. She’s on her way to work, probably going to do some rehearsing in her leggings, shorts are easy on/off. However, it’s her demeanor and obvious sadness that are more troublesome. Gone is the **glowing** Katie from a few years ago. She’s a Mom now, etc etc but maybe scientology isn’t for her but she realizes she can’t just back out.
I think she looks f’ing fantastic. I honestly love that outfit.
Her legs are sick and she can pull that off.

Petra- I just searched for designer denim shorts and didn’t see anything like KH’s. I thought Current Elliot but didn’t see them there. Probably not out yet. Jared is usually good about naming the designer.
this is probably her best look in a while. she probably wore it because it would piss Tom Cruise off. Fierce.
Fashion wise, she looks like a homeless person without half of her pants on. Human side, she wants attention, most likely because she’s not getting it from Tom Cruise, so she dresses to get attention even if the poor soul doesn’t have a clue of any semblance of the word fashion. Even the bingo ladies at the local parlor dress sexier and classier than this robot ever has I used to remember when she was happy which seems so long ago, I guess her Scientology ego got too big for her pants (ha, ha).
I think robots like Katie and Suri has a central heating system inside them. Which explains why they’re always under-dressed for winter
