Tripp Johnston: Bristol Palin’s New Son!
STOP TRIPPIN’
Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, gave birth to son Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Sunday in Palmer, Alaska.
“We think it’s wonderful,” Colleen Jones, the sister of Bristol’s grandmother Sally Heath, told People. “The baby is fine and Bristol is doing well. Everyone is excited.”
The baby’s father, Levi Johnston is studying to be an electrician and has been dating Bristol for three years. The couple will reportedly tie the knot this summer, but the in meantime, Levi has Bristol tattooed on his finger.
Bristol is taking correspondence courses to obtain her high school diploma.
Congrats to the happy couple!

Do not judge others, lest ye be judged. Treat others as you would like to be treated. We are not all in the public eye, but if we were, we would all have dirt on us to talk about also. It is an unfortunate situation these two young people are in, but honestly, why do you all care so much as to make it worse for them? Bristol didn’t ask to be famous, it was her Mother’s decision, now she has to bear the consequences. My heart goes out to her. God bless you Bristol, and best wishes!

Baha, I’m sorry, I can’t help but find it all kind of humorous…. translated that actually means, “The baby’s father, a redneck High School jock that knocked up the Governor’s daughter after having casual sex for three years, is “studying” to be an electrician because he’s too much of a redneck to go to college.”
lol, I’m sorry…. but it’s just too funny. No offense to electriticians (my dad’s an electrician), but in this scenario it’s apparent that they try to sugarcoat things to make it look like Levi isn’t some random redneck.
We need evidence of the new child. Or maybe they just rented one and the actual son is actually trig!
I can not believe how many judgmental people are posting on this. Accidents happen even unplanned pregnancies. How many of you were “planned” I know I wasn’t neither were my two beautiful daughters! Yes I was pregnant before I got married. How many of you had premarital sex? But thats okay because you didn’t get pregnant! How sad and short sighted and lame each and every one of you is. As for the daughter how was her mom to know what she was doing. I thought I kept a very tight reign on my daughters and I thought I knew the first time they had sex silly me! Now that they are 22 and 24 I find out I missed the boat! So lighten up people Life happens!
Just wanted to add that I happen to know two men named Tripp (one in his 80’s and one boy in my daughter’s kindergarten class) and both are adorable men. I used to love that name. Now it is tainted… this family is so trashy and I thank God every day still that McCain Palin didn’t win!

Wow… so many of you are so hateful. Tripp is not an abnormal name, I went to HS in the 90’s with a boy named Tripp, and no he wasn’t the 3rd, his name was actually Tripp. Great guy! I will admit that I haven’t heard it a lot but I still think it is a wonderful name. Also, for the person who said that they had never heard of the name Piper or Willow, what rock were you living under during the “Charmed” and “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” tv series. Piper was one of the sisters on Charmed (played by Holly Marie Combs) and Willow was Buffy’s best friend on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. And actually, Will Smith’s daughter’s name is Willow. So it is not that abnormal of a name. As far as anyone else, the only people who have to like the choice they make for thier child’s name are the people naming him or her. The child can legally change his or her name when they get to a certain age… can make up a nickname that they want to go by… make things work. Kids are pretty good at bouncing back. I know a guy who’s son’s name is Whitfield and they call him Field. No one that I know likes this little boy’s name, except his parents, but that was their choice. Let it be Tripp’s parents choice, not yours. And if by chance their marriage either doesn’t happen or ends in divorce then so be it. I am a FIRM believer that people shouldn’t stay together for the sake of the children. My own son was born out of wedlock, but he was not an accident. He was well planned and it just happened to be that I found someone that I wanted to father my child. He agreed. He isn’t involved in my son’s life, although he was given the option to. He has chose to be out of his life and that is his mistake. But it is his choice. Not every child is born into a married relationship. But that doesn’t mean that the parents want them any less or love them less. Also, the marriage certificate doesn’t mean that you are a better parent then someone without the certificate. A lot of you need to be more open minded.
I tell you all one thing right now……….everybody commenting on this topic is hypocritical as hell! So what, Bristol Palin had a healthy baby boy, and it was her choice to have him! She could have had an abortion, but no, she decided to give this child a chance. That is her decision and everybody that keeps chewing on these people are idiots! Grow up!

“Who understands the importance of life”? This is the same woman whose politics include continuing the war in Iraq even if it takes, “a hundred years”. Are the soldiers’ lives less important than the aborted?
I find the negative comments posted here a bit disturbing. We are so lucky to live in a country that we have the right to name our children what we want. Whether it be Trig, Tripp, Trac, Bristol, or Piper it is totally a matter of choice. Did anyone ever think that these may be Alaskan names? Think about it…Bristol…as in Bristol Bay in Alaska; Piper as in Airplane (Todd Palin has one parked at his dock in back of his home in Wasilla); Trac as in snowmachine (Todd is a world chapion snowmobile racer). Maybe Bristol named her baby Tripp because of all the travel their family has done during the campaign. Trig could be a trigger to a gun (Palins are hunters in Alaska). Grow up everyone these are very unique names from a lovely family. And, oh my gosh — a baby born out of wedlock…..this isn’t the first time this will happen and not the last time. Clean up your own backyards before you start complaining about someone else’s. This young couple will make it if people like us stay out of their business!! Congratulations to Bristol and Levi; a definite gift from God. Come on people put yourself in these young peoples place. They didn’t ask to be part of this media craze. God Bless you all!
who cares. bristol and levi are fools to keep that child, but the biggest ass is sarah palin who made her daughter keep the kid and get married because of her public image. and it didn’t even pay off. these two are in for a lifetime of having affairs and snorting coke.
and it’s not that i’m judging teen pregnancy, because accidents do happen and it happened to me too. i judge the way it was handled, the publicity it got and the fakeness and hypocrisy of sarah palin’s and conservative principals in general.
I feel sorry for all of you that are so quick to judge the Palin family. Unless you yourself have never had unmarried sex, I don’t believe you have the right to condem Bristol. I know from experience that birth control doesn’t always work! How lucky Bristol is to have the support of her family when she needs it the most.

What losers this couple is. The Palin family is complete white trash! An electrician and a high school dropout, what winners! Naming the kid Tripp? Losers is all I can say about them. Give the kid a normal happy life and give him to a couple who can actually support him ; without using grandmommy’s income to do so.

She isn’t nasty just cause she got pregnant at 17. Atleast she kept it and is with the baby’s father. And KNOWS who her baby’s father is. Which is more than probably what half of you can say.

Palin preahes family values… but she chose limelight over taking care of her special needs baby (all of five months old at the time) and her very pregnant teenage daughter.
So glad to see there are no skeletons in anybody’s closet! Uh huh. Remember, when you point the finger @ someone else, there are 3 pointing back at you! Maybe we all need to get a life and forget these silly blogs of judgement!
BTW - Piper, Tripp & Willow are common names in the south, below the Mason Dixon line, that is.

Um, why’d they name the kid Johnston?
Rethugs are against abortion, but for killing as many people (outside the woman’s body) as possible through war and bombings. Plus, they’re a-ok with executing prisoners. Don’t kill ‘em when they’re young–wait till they grow up–then slaughter ‘em (GOP mantra).
