Doctors to Angelina Jolie: No More Babies!
Angelina Jolie is being warned by doctors not to get pregnant again… at least by doctors that have never treated her. And probably haven’t met her, too!
Dr. Larrian Gillespie, who has not treated Angie, tells OK!, “Angelina is at risk of having a stroke or heart attack, and because she developed gestational diabetes, there is a high risk she’ll have it again, with the child being at risk for diabetes.”
“Her previous pregnancies ended with emergency caesarian secions,” an insider tells the mag. “She’s been told that, at the least, she should not get pregnant for a year after her last deliver, and it would be safer if she did not get pregnant, ever.”
Let’s leave these calls to the docs that have been treating Angie, yes?

Dr. Larrian Gillespie is a UROLOGIST not a obstretician and Gynaecologist and she is commenting on a gynaecological matter???

DON’T USE A DOCTOR WHO IS THIS UNPROFESSIONAL.
What a totally ridiculous “story”. There is such a thing as HIPAA laws that protect EVERY patient’s privacy — even celebrity’s. Like this rag’s article says - this so called doctor has never even treated Angelina, and therefore, he doesn’t know anything about her care, nor her medical history. I’m sure Angelina, and her OWN doctors know a lot more than some quack doctor writing for a rag knows.
That said, I hope Angelina (and Brad) focus on the six kids they have before she having any more. I’m all for her and Brad expanding their beautiful family…but I know how much work and attention one child needs — I can’t imagine how much work and attention six little ones require. In another year or two when the little ones have grown a bit, then they can think of expanding. But — whatever they choose to do it is ultimately their decision and I’m sure they will do what is best for their family, and I wish them ALL the best!
Some of you people are retarted. It’s not smart to have kids after a certain age. Medically they are at greater risks of being born with certain diseases. The doctors are smart…everyone here not so much.

I don´t belive for a second that Angie had gestational diabetes during her pregnancy with twins. Like someone wrote it would have affected the babies´ weight and that did´t happen. She was healthy as a horse (like a saying goes). So there isn´t any reason why she shouldn´t get pregnant again some day. BTW. OK! is becoming one of these irritating rags that publish only garbage on their pages. This latest story of Angie proves it. They should first. check the backgrounds before publishing this kind of c***! Angie and Brad love children and will have many more. No matter biological or adopted. They´ll most certainly have both. They love all their children equally and that´s the main thing. God bless the Jolie-Pitt family!

EDITORS NOTE: On March 27, 1997, the Los Angeles Times published “A Difficult Case to Diagnose” (written by David Olmos) which discussed controversal urologist, Larrian Gillespie. Dr. Gillespie has been hotly debated by the IC community for the past few years. particularly here in California where she performed radical spinal surgery on IC patients.
She settled ten malpractice lawsuits in February 1997 for $2.6 million. According to the LATimes, the California Medical Board also “suspended her medical license for ‘repeated negligent acts’ not involved spinal surgery.” The article further revealed that Dr. Gillespie was not Board certified in Urology and twice flunked the certification exam.
Clearly, Dr. Gillespie has both fans and critics. So many of us were thrilled with the publication of her book “You Don’t Have to Live With Cystitis” which, for the first time, gave us credibility, information and support. Unfortunately, her radical spinal surgery became a source of great controversy and, clearly, at least a dozen malpractice suits.
If we, the IC patient, were to learn something from this experience, it is that when we are the most vulnerable and in pain, we must renew, again, our knowledge of IC and it’s many treatment options. And.. we must verify that information from other sources as we consider any radical treatment options. The IC community of researchers, physicians and patients have many different (and often opposing) opinions on treatments. Many of the patients were desperate. By the time they arrived at the dowdy little hospital in San Bernardino County, they had lived for years with excruciating pelvic and bladder pain. Doctors repeatedly had told them there was no known cause or cure.
Most were women, who said their lives were being ruined by two baffling disorders–interstitial cystitis and vulvodynia. They said they felt dismissed, patronized and sometimes humiliated when they took their problems to the predominantly male world of urology.
So they had turned to Dr. Larrian M. Gillespie.
Gillespie offered hope for the hopeless. She was a UCLA-trained urologist, one of the few women in her field. She had built a nationwide following through a marketing campaign of free seminars and videos. Now, she was touting a controversial treatment for chronic pelvic pain: spinal surgery.
Hundreds of patients flocked to her Pelvic Pain Treatment Center at Doctors Hospital of Montclair, a struggling hospital in a working-class neighborhood. But Gillespie’s patients got royal treatment. They were flown in from around the country at hospital expense, put up in hotel suites and chauffeured to appointments in limousines.
Unknown to the patients was their role in a lucrative medical marketing scheme involving Gillespie, the hospital, a giant health care corporation later caught up in scandal, and a neurosurgeon, Kenneth P. Burres, with a troubled professional past.
