And how would you know of what Cruise or any other actor has done to themselves?

Mr. Blonde is jealous because you actually know the object of his obsession. For some reason he never believes anyone who has worked in the media reads these blogs. I’m assuming like many you probably majored in radio-tv-film and then went to work in the media like others on this blog. For some reason Mr. Blonde feels no one reads these that knows the folks Jared writes about. Instead he must think we are suppose to be reading political blogs, blogs about science, about astronomy, about Gameboy or something. God forbid we all read a blog in the area we actually work(ed) in.
I’m more and more convinced Blonde belongs to Xenu’s church. His comments are much along the line of Scientology and the way they answer anything they don’t want to answer. Basically you can’t argue with Blonde nor can you argue with Cruise. They believe in the mighty Xenu, ignore the fact that L.Ron Hubbard stated he was only doing this crap for the money, the fact he beat his wives, was homophobic and either drove his son to suicide or murdered him.

So one person posting that they *GASP* actually knew Katie Holmes when she was a minor player, just a little recognized actress on a WB teen drama filming in a small town in North Carolina eight months out of the year and living in a condo on the beach and driving her little red convertible car around is defined a “nut”?

Yet YOU, who posts here every single day of your life to attack, insult and try to correct and reprimand others for simply having an opinion, thinking you are on some self-righteous charitable mission to defend of two celebrities you do not know and will never know–and who would probably hire more security if they were aware of you–you think that makes you sane?

Go right ahead and check the archives for what was posted and what was not. I welcome it. Anyone else out there who has waaaay too much time on their hands is invited to play along.

I think the fact that you don’t know how naive and ignorant it is to post claims like People Magazine and E! News are the only “legit” sources out there pretty much tells anyone what they need to know.

And I agree–why would a celebrity blog never once draw the interest of those who work or have worked with celebrities? You think it’s “convenient” that people post here who actually knew her–as if this place is only reserved for those like yourself, who have no personal knowledge whatsoever of Katie Holmes yet feel free to set forth her every thought, hope, desire and describe all reasoning and motives?

Sorry to have to be the one to tell you this, but most people on the internet visit celebrity gossip sites for actual gossip, not the delusional ramblings of an obsessed freak.

Great post. I am also one he criticizes and disbelieves for working in the media and having *gasp* inside insight and info. I majored in R-TV-film and worked at six radio stations, two TV stations and a film production company in a major market. Also had a dad that hobnobbed with some of the power players on the sports scene through his job. So I’ve met at least a couple of hundred rock stars, sports players, actors, actresses etc. And continue to have drinks with friends who are still in the industry and we *gasp* again GOSSIP about these over inflated egos!
What Mr. Blonde doesn’t understand is that there is a public Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes and a private Tom and Katie. Nor does he put the whole picture together to form a complete picture in his own mind. Take the supposition that if what you say is true, tidbits of what other bloggers (who have met her) and magazines say is true– rather than wholy relying on what comes out of her mouth or Tom’s mouth or People or Entertainment–then you start forming a picture that is a more real Katie than the image she is trying to project. And it isn’t always flattering.
What Mr. B is blind to is the fact that People Magazine very rarely criticizes or does in depth articles on stars. In fact it is well known that much of what they publish is from the star’s publicist calling and saying Tom and Katie celebrated their anniversary at blah blah and the love birds cooed and kissed and yadda yadda yadda. That vs. a TMZ which reports the more scurrilous gossip. Or something like the National Enquirer or Star which mainly publishes crap, but occasionally someone wants money and will sell out someone and they will actually get a major TRUE scoop. It is very well known in the industry that if you want good PR for your client, then contact People. This includes things like contacting them for exclusives on when your client is divorcing, is pregnant etc.
I know the film folk (mainly crew) that I’ve talked to don’t like working with Tom because of the Scientology. When he was the number one power player they were afraid to challenge him or to do anything that might result in their being blacklisted with other directors (i.e. not a good worker etc). I understand now that he has lost power more of them are standing up and saying no to in-my-face scientology crap. Of course when you do get information second hand some of it may be exaggerated or untrue. I’ve not heard anything about Katie. But some of the folks I’ve had drinks with have said Tom is actually very insecure, needs to be the center of attention at all times, and is very draining to be around because of his need to be at that center. They have said he is very professional, shows up on time, knows what he is doing, treats the staff well (except for that pesky scientology crap). Most of the folks I’ve heard gossip from prefer working with Kidman. They have said she is a bit fragile in the ego department, but again is hard working, knows the crew, shows up on time, and doesn’t waste time.
Unfortunately people like Mr. Blonde believe everything that comes out of a celeb’s mouth (or people) as the gospel. A celeb is always always conscious of their image and they will say what is necessary to stay in the public eye and grace. I adore Kidman, but it doesn’t blind me to her faults. Same goes for Brad and Angelina.
Tom, Nicole, Brad, Angie–these folks all have huge egos, a strong sense of their acting worth, and they are all masters at their own PR. Katie in my estimation is way out of her league and is failing miserably on the self promotion/PR angle.
I do believe in spite of his denials that Mr. B probably has Scientology connections. The way he frames his answers sounds somewhat like some of their literature. Gee, maybe he worked for Tom and he is now a Stepford Tom-in-Training?

Your entire argument and everything you post here is relying almost completely on your assumption that others’ opinions are false. Yet you have not one ounce of actual, credible, first-hand evidence or fact to support any of the things you say.

Maybe the fact more than one person might have a negative view of Katie Holmes is simply because she may not be such a nice person. Did you ever consider that? Is it really so difficult to believe that might be true? Why? Because she is a celebrity she is above reproach? LOL. What if it is the very fact that she is a celebrity that makes her less so? What if I’ve personally witnessed her be rude, condescending, smug and difficult? What have you got? A kiss-*ss article in People magazine? LOL.

You couldn’t be more wrong, #92. I have no argument. All I do is correct misconceptions and slam people who post opinions as facts. I don’t care if you dislike TomKat and there’s no such thing as a false opinion. You make fun of TomKat’s fashion and their acting and other such trivialities and I let them pass. You can say that you think that Holmes or any other celebrity is terrible behind closed doors as long as you write ‘I think…’ and I ‘I believe…’ and ‘probably’ and ‘maybe.’ As long as you make it clear that you’re stating an opinion, you can say anything you want about Holmes. If you don’t, you’re then stating something as a fact so I expect you to prove it or shut up. I wouldn’t know for sure if you actually met Holmes. You’re a stranger on the internet, remember?
