OlderJett Travolta Dead at 16 (John Travolta’s Son)
Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta has died after suffering a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.
Travolta’s attorney, Michael Ossi, tells Reuters that attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene.
Access reports Jett fell and hit his head on a bathtub at the hotel. TMZ reports Jett was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital.
Travolta, 54, wife Kelly Preston, 46, and their family had been vacationing in the Bahamas. Travolta and Preston also have a daughter, Ella, 8.
Travolta has said Jett suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome (a condition that leads to heart disease in rare cases). Preston has also said Jett suffered from asthma and blamed household cleaners, fertilizers and pesticides for sparking the condition. According to People, she credited a detoxification program based on the writings of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard with helping to improve Jett’s health.

Jett rest in peace, I am sure his parents will never find peace now. Loosing a child myself as an adult I know the pain it brings which never goes.

I don’t know what to say, but i feel compelled to say something. I am shocked and extremely upset for the Travolta family and friends. This is a horrible horrible thing to happen. 16 years old. I can’t even imagine how John and Kelly are handling this. They lost a beloved son and poor Ella lost her only sibling (and at such a young age for her). My prayers are with them and their family. I hope everyone respects them the way as any family would need be- at a time like this. They are in my thoughts.

And yes Scientologists really do believe that when you die you simply go to a hospital and find a new baby being born and hop into that body.
I can’t believe people and their judmental comments. This is a tragedy and nobody’s business on what they did or did’t do. I’m sure they loved him and only did what they thought was best. God bless the family and friends and forgive the others. dd

Both Kelly and John should feel shame but their cult and its belief system do no allow this either. They are hoping the spirit jumps into a healthier body this time. That is all.

Do you think if Jett took epilepsy medicine that he would stop having seizures? oh yeah! they don’t believe in medicine :( also, where were the parents? Jett was last seen Thurs. in the bathroom and was found by the caretaker late friday morning? HELLO, why didn’t his parents check him @ night and say goodnight or give him a morning kiss? Why was this kid last seen on Thursday>? WTF! where were his parents? Does this mean Jett was laying in the bathroom from Thursday until Sunday? This death could have been prevented by many factors! I just hope Jett was given anti seizure medications on a regular basis and maybe he just died from the blow to his head when he fell. Anyone know if Scientologists allow medication for people who are having seizures on a regular basis? In any case- the whole situation is just horrible and I feel so bad for John and Kelly.

My sincere condolences to the Travolta’s on the loss of their son…
But I’ve got shake my head at the viciousness of some of the posters here & at other Celebrity blogs acting like they were THERE & SAW what happened. No-one knows yet the full details of what happened - Wait for “respectful” sources to report the facts (CNN News, Time, People, etc.) because I’ll TRUST THEM over so-called news agency, “TMZ”, ANY DAY.
Also, Scientology is NOT the ONLY “religion” that is leery of the use of medications… Look at cases like Thalidomide “babies”, Prozac (bad side-effects), phen-phen (”safe” weight loss pills) etc.; go searching for some real horror stories. Some people can’t tolerate medications, not EVEN aspirin or Advil. Then you have a record of DECADES of OVER-PRESCRIBING antibiotics for every sniffle, sneeze & cough - The ONLY times antibiotics should be used is for bacterial illnesses (tuberculosis, bronchitis, etc.) - The rampant misuse created antibiotic-resistant bacteria & the return of NASTIER forms of Ebola, Cholera, Tuberculous, various FLU bugs, etc.
Suffice it to say, none of us truly know what happened, or who to believe - There’s stuff being reported that he died while jet skiing; he also died of a heart attack; he overdosed - Which is it? HELL, there are people who think that young man wasn’t “right in the head” & was locked away in a mental institution. Obviously from the photo he was somewhat chubby but certainly looked happy while out with his dad - YET, he’s locked away?! Use your brains, people.
One last thing to think about - I read 1 poster’s self-righteous opinion that the Travolta’s were ashamed of him because he was never seen in public while conveniently forgetting the many “opinions” given celebrity parents “pimping” their kids BECAUSE they took them OUT IN PUBLIC.
No matter what some celebrities do they end up crucified by strangers who think they’re better than anyone else on the planet. Nobody’s perfect in this world… NOBODY!
