Jett Travolta Dead at 16 (John Travolta’s Son)

Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta has died after suffering a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.

Travolta’s attorney, Michael Ossi, tells Reuters that attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene.

Access reports Jett fell and hit his head on a bathtub at the hotel. TMZ reports Jett was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital.

Travolta, 54, wife Kelly Preston, 46, and their family had been vacationing in the Bahamas. Travolta and Preston also have a daughter, Ella, 8.

Travolta has said Jett suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome (a condition that leads to heart disease in rare cases). Preston has also said Jett suffered from asthma and blamed household cleaners, fertilizers and pesticides for sparking the condition. According to People, she credited a detoxification program based on the writings of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard with helping to improve Jett’s health.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Travolta family and friends.

My condolences out to the Travolta family. And I don’t think anyone should be blamed for this even occuring. My sister had autism as well, and passed away last year in October. I spent alot of moments blaming myself, blaming my family, blaming hospital officials for not arriving on time. But there was only so much we could’ve done. Anyone could’ve made the same mistake!!

Anyways, this truly must be a hard time for the family. I wish them all the strength.

i think that they killed their son…

That’s terrible, my condolences…

My heartfelt condolences to the Travolta family. I can’t even begin to imagine the raw pain they’ll be going through now. Loosing a child is not something you wish even on an enemy.

I hope with time, they’ll learn to live with it and be able to grow stronger and closer through this loss.

Reading the comments on this site, I’m so appalled that this level of ugliness and meanness exists in people such that on encountering a tragedy that should draw empathy and a reminder that life is brief and should be lived well, what can only be expressed is judgment and wickedness. Horrible!

As the saying goes, mourn with those who mourn, you never know if you’ll be the next person to require empathy when mourning.

That’s pretty sombre. My thought and prayer go out to the family. May his soul rest in peace (R.I.P)

To the entire Travolta family ~ my deepest sympathy for your loss.

To the Press: Please for once, leave these people in peace.

Also, you keep mentioning that JOHN Travolta’s son died? You say that with absolutely no thought to Kelly’s feelings, whatsoever.

Nowhere, have I seen any headline mention John Travolta and Kelly Preston lose their son. No, it is always that John lost his son or John spent so much time with him.

The way you talk, you would have thought that John gave birth to Jett and that John was the only one that spent any time with him.

That said,

My prayers are with Kelly, and Ella who will miss her big brother greatly and John.

My heart and prayers go out to your sweet family. I can’t imagine the pain you are going through right now. I wish I could do something to help everyone realize the good times that he had while he was here for this short while. Sounds like he was an exceptional young man and just always remember the good thoughts that you had with him!

My deepest sympathy for the family. I hope they get through this together. Its so sad he was only 16. R.I.P Jett.

May he rest in peace. I hope some Scientology anti-medication belief did not bring this one but either way, it is a grave loss. John is a wonderful man and a loss of a child is inconceivable to me. May God bless them all.

I am so sorry for the Travolta family. What a tragic and sad loss. My prayers are with them; I would imagine their pain is excruciating. My deepest and sincere sympathy. This is heartbreaking.

so sad. my prayers go out to the entire travolta family. RIP Jett.

We were so saddened to hear of the death of Jett Travolta. We can’t even begin to imagine the pain his family is going through. We have twin 4 year old grandsons and can’t imagine life without them. Our heartfelt condolences to the Travolta/Preston family. We will lift you up in our prayers.

Lukas, re-examin whether or not you’re human. No parent “deserves” to lose a child. If you’re still just a teenager, then there’s hope for you to learn to be kind to others, if you’re older, then I will pray for you. Sometimes, people just think of themselves, and never once consider how damaging their words are. My deepest condolences to the Travoltas on this heart wrenching tragedy.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Burying ones child is against nature, it is suppose to be the other way around. I myself have burried 3 and know the everlasting pain yu will carry with you. In time it will lessen and you will be able to teach others how to grieve. What got me through it was “I guess GOD needed and angle more then I needed a child”.
Whenever you look inot your daughters eyes, you WILL see your son, this I can guarantee.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Burying ones child is against nature, it is suppose to be the other way around. I, myself have buried 3, the pain will never lessen over time, but you will be able to teach others how to grieve and not just read the process while they are sitting alone in a room somewhere. Whenever you look into your daughters eyes you WILL see your son, that I can guatantee.
What got me through the difficult time was apparently “GOD need and angel more then I needed a child”. It is not much of comfort, but until ou are gien the grace to understand or at least make some sense out of it all, it is the best anyone can offer you.

Omg. My condolences for all his family
