OlderJett Travolta Dead at 16 (John Travolta’s Son)
Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta has died after suffering a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.
Travolta’s attorney, Michael Ossi, tells Reuters that attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene.
Access reports Jett fell and hit his head on a bathtub at the hotel. TMZ reports Jett was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital.
Travolta, 54, wife Kelly Preston, 46, and their family had been vacationing in the Bahamas. Travolta and Preston also have a daughter, Ella, 8.
Travolta has said Jett suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome (a condition that leads to heart disease in rare cases). Preston has also said Jett suffered from asthma and blamed household cleaners, fertilizers and pesticides for sparking the condition. According to People, she credited a detoxification program based on the writings of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard with helping to improve Jett’s health.

Despite living in Brazil and have never had contact with the Family Travolta, I feel a deep regret at the circumstances.
Since I was a teenager already appreciated the films of John Travolta, and that happens to the current days.
It is as if a close relative had my deceased.
My condolences to the Family Travolta. And God, in His eternal wisdom, to nurture the hearts of them.

I can’t believe how heartless people can be. How dare anyone say that these people killed their son. There was NEVER any proof of him being autistic. I just don’t understand some people. I’m praying for the family.

There is a strong link between autism and seizures in adolescents- nearly 25% of autistic children develop epilepsy in their teens.
It is extremely sad that the Travoltas’ belief in Scientology kept them from exploring treatments and therapys that could have HELPED their son. If there was even a remote chance he had autism, if he ever showed any symptoms (which, according to neighbors and friends, he did), it is horrendous that the Travolta’s would put thier own fantasies before their son’s needs.

Regardless of any of their beliefs it is a true tragedy. LUCAS, shame on you. I do not believe in the cult of Scientology one little bit and personally think it is dangerous but to lose a child in any way is the worst thing to happen to a parent. shame on you…. shame shame shame for your mean comment… How dare you say they deserve it!!! YOU are the moralist in this case. no one deserves it and this is not about YOU Lucas! Mind your own business. A poor young boy is dead. Let them mourn in peace. That is so sad my condolences to the family.
My sincere sympathies to the Travolta family. I can’t even imagine the pain of losing a child. Seizures can be so dangerous and they just sneak up on you. Even with proper medication, whether autistic or not, there is always a chance. I think it’s time for people to stop harping on the autistic when it was a seizure that caused that poor boy to fall. Many healthy people are hurt or killed falling in tubs, just slipping on the soap. Leave the poor family to their grief.
