OlderJett Travolta Dead at 16 (John Travolta’s Son)
Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta has died after suffering a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.
Travolta’s attorney, Michael Ossi, tells Reuters that attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene.
Access reports Jett fell and hit his head on a bathtub at the hotel. TMZ reports Jett was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital.
Travolta, 54, wife Kelly Preston, 46, and their family had been vacationing in the Bahamas. Travolta and Preston also have a daughter, Ella, 8.
Travolta has said Jett suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome (a condition that leads to heart disease in rare cases). Preston has also said Jett suffered from asthma and blamed household cleaners, fertilizers and pesticides for sparking the condition. According to People, she credited a detoxification program based on the writings of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard with helping to improve Jett’s health.

I hope Social Services investigate the Travoltas. There is no doubt in my mind that Jett was killed due to parental abuse. John and Kelly are cult members who denied their handicapped son the proper treatment. Tripp was murdered and the Travoltas should be held accountable for their negligence.
I fear for their daughter Ella Bleu. I pray that this little girl is removed from her home and placed in foster care where she will be safe from the clutches of the Scientologists.
John and Kelly are unfit parents. They are solely responsible for Tripp’s untimely death.

Any time a child dies, it is a terrible tragedy for the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family at this difficult time. It is only through the love and support of those around you that we can make it through such times. I know, my son died at age 21 because of a mysterious ailment.

Mike, Jett died in the Bahamas. No matter if he died from neglect or whatever, nothing will happen. Travolta will only have to grease a few palms with a few thousand and the death certificate will say whatever Travolta wants it to say.
it’s common knowledge that John Travolta and Kelly Preston were ashamed of their retarded son. They kept him hidden and secluded. It does not surprise me that nobody checked on him for 24 hours. Tripp could be dead and rotting in the bathroom and neither John or Kelly would give a damn about him. The Travoltas were in denial about his Autism. I expect the Police will be called into the crime scene to check for signs of foul play. Scientologists are known to murder their young if they sense any physical imperfections. RIP Tripp.

unlike others like tom and katie, the travoltas’ didnt think anyone outside the family had an automatic right to see their son at every possible turn. that’s called responsible parenting. and no, i seriously doubt the police will be visiting this family for foul play. get a grip!!!
Have the police investigated the crime scene yet? I don’t believe this kid died from slipping on a bath tub. Gimme a break. The Church of Scientology probably advised the Travoltas to take Jett to the Bahamas where it would be easier to arrange an “accident” to get rid of their retarded son. It was a hit. Plain and simple.

This is a gorgeous picture of Jett and his parents. I remember it being published and I always thought it was a great picture because of the incredible love that shines through their faces.
I never liked the fact that Kelly and John lied about his medical condition in order to keep in line with whatever Scientology is preaching about autism and other unfair conditions, but losing your 16-year-old son is a tragedy no parent should have to go through.
My heart truly goes out to Kelly and John, and their poor little almost 9-year-old daughter Ella. Her birthday’s up in four months, I can’t believe the sadness they must be experiencing right now.

i hope john & his wife feel terrible. if they had gotten him the treatment he needed he would be healthy as he could be & alive today. their cult killed thier son.

How iironic to be a strict Scientologist and firmly believe in L. Ron Hubbard’s vile dislike of psychiatry and mental health medications and to have a child with Autism who dearly needs these medications and to choose the cult, who ultimately destroys your child. I feel so sorry for the child and the suffering he must have endured at the hands of these Scientologists. May God forgive them and embrace the soul of this young man.

Praying for the family.
Some of you are horrible, horrible people. I don’t doubt that Jett had some sort of developmental delays, but it has nothing to do with his death. He was known to have seizures, and if he hit his head in the tub and it triggered a seizure, it most certainly is not foul play. And for those of you say they were embarrassed by their “retarded” son and did away with him because of Scientology’s beliefs, why would they wait until he is 16? Why not do it a long time ago? It makes absolutely no sense. If you look at videos and photos through the years, it’s obvious they loved their son very much but were protecting him. Isn’t that what any parent would do?
Anyway, I hope he didn’t suffer and I wish them peace.

I read an interview with a family friend who described how John and Kelly would let Jett stuff himself with junk food and sit in front of video games unattended for 6 hours. The poor child grew obese and unhealthy which exacerbated his Autism. Of course John and Kelly only ate the best organic foods - only the best for themselves. Let the handicapped kid eat the garbage.
The Travoltas neglected and abused Jett throughout his young life. They were ashamed and embarrassed by his condition and tried to hide it from the world. John denied he even had a son. They deprived him of medical attention. Jett was severely mistreated.
The harsh truth is that John and Kelly murdered Jett. I don’t know if John organized a “hit” with the Scientologists but he did kill Jett through years of emotional and physical abuse. My gut feeling is that John looked the other way while the Scientologists took care of his problem.

such a sad news.. i dont blame john and kelly at all. they are good parents and they did a great job keeping their kids out of the public eye and giving them their privacy. nothing caouldve prevented this if it was really his time. he is at peace now… RIP Jett…. remember your parents and sister loves you.
